Electric Conversion Chevrolet S10 Pickup 2001 on 2040-cars

For sale is a 2001 S10 which has been converted to a plug in electric
vehicle. This is a totally electric truck that runs on 12-12volt batteries (144
volt system), it has an onboard charger, so you just plug it in and when it's
charged you can go. The charger works on regular 120volt plugs or can also be
plugged into 220 volts to charge faster. It has a range of about 20 to 30 miles,
but has room to install 12 more batteries which would double it's range. Top
speed is over 70 mph, but the faster you go the less range you have. It runs
and drives great but it could use a few more things like a heater and a
speedometer (I use an app on my cell phone works great). I moved since I built
it and now have too far to drive to work. I've drove it less than 1,000 miles
since the conversion so everthing is basically new. The starting bid is less
than I have in all the parts, let alone all the labor and the price of the
truck. A minimum of $500 is due within 3 days of auction end and the remainder
due when it is picked up. It can set here for a month if needed, its not in my
way and I can help with shipping setup, but don't ask for quotes I'll assist but
I won't do it. I am not a dealer or auto manufacturer so truck being SOLD AS

Chevy Malibu Hybrid wins 2016 Connected Green Car of the Year
Thu, Jan 21 2016From the Washington Auto Show today, Green Car Journal's Ron Cogan announced three different fuel-efficient vehicle awards. They were: 2016 Connected Green Car of the Year: Chevy Malibu Hybrid 2016 Luxury Green Car of the Year: Volvo XC90 T8 2016 Green SUV of the Year: Honda HR-V The Volvo was nominated in two categories, but it did not win the Connected Green Car of the Year. Speaking of non-winners, the other green SUV finalists were the BMW X1 XDrive28i, Hyundai Tucson, Mazda CX-3, and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. The other Luxury Green Car finalists included the BMW x5 xDrive40e, Lexus RX 450h, Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid, and the Mercedes-Benz C350e. GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.
