THIS IS A TURN KEY, RACE READY TRUCK!!  REASONABLE  CASH OFFERS ARE WELCOME!!  If you want to come inspect it and make an offer at that time you are welcome to do so.  Was built to run 150hp nitrous shot...only has the 100hp jets in currently.  Running 11.90's on this setup.  Will run 11.4=11.5's with 150 jets.  Truck was built two months ago for my son to learn about mechanics and racing basics.  It's time to move on to another project we have found!   Please understand, this is a race ready truck but it's NOT a show truck.  We did straighten out some of the small dings and scratches the truck had around the body and sprayed it with hot rod black.  It looks tough as hell from 10 ft away but it IS NOT PERFECT by any means.  Does have a few small nicks and scratches on it now but I will give you what we have left of the paint and activator.  Will also come with a SFI/1 jacket the tracks require for running nitrous.  You will need your own helmet!!   Reserve is set much less than you probably expect so bid to win it!  Bring your own trailer or if you don't mind being hassled by the cops, drive it home.  Only has tail lights and low beam headlights wired to switch on dash.  No horn, wipers or anything else that isn't necessary on the drag strip.

.030 over 350 block (prepped)

Speed Pro Hyper pistons

Rings gapped for nitrous

New Clevite rod and main bearings

Truck completely gutted.  No interior.  Factory fuel tank and wheel wells removed.  All a/c and heat removed.

Weld Wheels  15x8 rear with 28x10.5 slicks   15x4 front with 165/80   Tires are LIKE NEW!!

Driveshaft loop installed

QuickCar master disconnect switch on rear

Bully tailgate net

FULLY TURN KEY READY TO RACE!!  Runs on pump 93 or use 110 to run the bottle.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS....IF YOU CHANGE THE NITROUS JETS AND IT RUNS UNDER A 11.49 YOUR TRACK MIGHT MAKE YOU INSTALL A CAGE!!  If you put better heads on it AND change the jets you WILL MOST DEFINITELY HAVE TO INSTALL A CAGE!!  We tried to keep it JUST under the 11.49 bracket but all you will have to do is change the jets and push the throttle to the firewall to be there.  Just giving you fair warning on this part.  Truck is currently ready to run the 150 jets. colder NGK's in it already, just retard the timing another 2 degrees.

Feel free to call or text for more info or to come by and check it out in person.  THERE WILL BE NO JOY RIDES!!  You want to "test drive" it, you better have cash in hand!

Watch the live reveal of the 2014 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra [UPDATE]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

UPDATE: The trucks have been revealed. Click here for all of the official details.
As promised, Chevrolet and GMC are offering a live webcast of the world premiere for the all-new 2014 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500. After being teased with spy shots and blurry images like the one above for ages, now is the time to see the trucks in the metal, for real (well, as 'real' as it gets on a webcast, at any rate).
Shift your eyes down just below to see the reveal as it happens, starting at 9:30 AM EST. We anticipate having loads of images full technical information to share after the webcast, too, so truck aficionados should stay tuned. We'll also be bringing you live images of both trucks too, when we see them on the show floor at next month's Detroit Auto Show.

Why Cadillac thinks it needs to succeed in Europe to sell cars elsewhere

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Ward's Auto has taken an interesting look at the renewed focus General Motors is showing towards Cadillac in Europe. Susan Docherty, president and managing director of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe (pictured), says in order for the luxury brand to thrive in China, it first needs to succeed in the old country. The reason? Chinese buyers look to Europe for cues as to what's deemed worthy of the term "luxury." There are hurdles to the plan, however. In addition to the fact that the EU is flooded with high-end nameplates, GM doesn't necessarily have the distribution network in place to put buyers behind the wheel.
Combine that with persistent economic woes and Cadillac's checkered past marred by a lack of diesel engine options and a bankrupt distributor, and the road ahead for the brand looks like less of an uphill climb and more like a straight-up cliff face. But Docherty is optimistic and says she has a plan for the brand. We recommend heading over to Ward's for a closer look at the full read.

GM’s Charlie Wilson was right: Stronger regulations can help U.S. automakers

Fri, Oct 26 2018

Charlie Wilson had been the president and CEO of General Motors before being nominated to become secretary of defense by Dwight Eisenhower. During his Senate confirmation hearings, he controversially said, "For years I thought what was good for our country was good for General Motors, and vice versa." And he was right. While car companies aren't necessarily the most progressive when it comes to things that might have the slightest possibility of political blowback, General Motors should be credited for doing something absolutely forthright in this regard with its announcement that it wants the federal U.S. government not to squash the California Air Resources Board's emissions requirements but to actually create a 50-state "National Zero Emissions Vehicle" program that, in the words of Mark Reuss, executive vice president and president, Global Product Group and Cadillac, "will drive the scale and infrastructure investments needed to allow the U.S. to lead the way to a zero emission future." Filing comments to the Safer Affordable Fuel-Efficient Vehicles Rule for Model Years 2021-2026 Passenger Cars and Light Trucks is one thing. But a graphic the company developed for this announcement — shown above — is something else entirely, something that is absolutely credible, creative and clever. There is a photo of a Chevrolet Bolt EV driving along a highway, which seems to be in Marin County (based on the blurred San Francisco skyline in the background). Text on the photo states: "It's Time for American Leadership in Zero Emissions Vehicles." It seems to say, in effect, "If we want to make America great again, then we're going to do it by leading in technology, not by retreating behind weakened regulations." General Motors understands that the auto market is globally competitive, and if U.S.-based companies are going to be in the game, then they'd better be able to out-innovate the companies based elsewhere, where emissions and economy standards are not being weakened. What's good for our country ... Related Video:
