You are bidding on a 1949 Chevy 3100 swb. It is a local truck that is a 2 owner truck. First owner owned until 7 years ago. It was purchased then to be used in parades and local rolling advertisement. Truck has great patina in the hard to find dark blue paint color(mist of these trucks were green or red). It has a good running 6 cylinder that fires right up and trans shifts great. It has been converted to 12v. All lights work even the done light! Either leave truck as is or you have the ultimate start to a show stopping shop truck. Sheet metal on this truck is nice and straight and not all banged up as most of these are. These trucks are getting harder to find in this shape. Only rust issues I see are as follows. Has one small area that has been patched in floors on passenger and drivers floor pan(see pics) couple small pin holes in a running board and small pin holes in lower part of the tailgate. Very minor areas. The truck still has it's original seat cover, door panels, and headliner. Seat is in very good shape for being original. Truck runs like a Swiss watch. Pull the choke it fires right up.Drives just as good. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in US. ca 750,fl 700,tx 600,ny 700( I will need your zip code for correct quote) Clear title in hand for truck. Any questions feel free to ask. Look at my feedback and bid with confidence.   photo 492_zps6faca04d.jpg photo 493_zps43edc0b2.jpg photo 49_zpseb6a80dc.jpg photo 4910_zps7ef09eca.jpg photo 497_zpse3480251.jpg photo 496_zps3840457f.jpg photo 495_zpsbf6fbf1e.jpg photo 4921_zpsd1b8442c.jpg photo 4920_zps7dc2502c.jpg photo 4919_zpsa36de7a2.jpg photo 4918_zps63211f85.jpg photo 4917_zps19872b12.jpg photo 4915_zps106f3509.jpg photo 4914_zps35598a8b.jpg photo 4913_zps8aa334a6.jpg photo 4912_zps897cbfe3.jpg photo imagejpg1_zps11cdf5a3.jpg photo 491_zpsaa0b6a4a.jpg photo 494_zps122ac909.jpg photo 498_zps74d0587e.jpg photo 499_zpsbae6a986.jpg photo 4911_zps4ab34dfc.jpg

2015 Chevy Impala Bi-fuel burns CNG, starts at $37,385*

Tue, May 6 2014

Currently, the only natural-gas-powered passenger car offered for sale by an OEM in the US is the Honda Civic Natural Gas. Starting this fall, that long-running CNG car will be joined by a CNG-burning 2015 Chevy Impala for both fleet and retail customers. General Motors announced today that the car will start at $37,385, plus an $825 destination charge. That comes to $38,210 before taxes and options. Those options include two trim lines, the base LS and the upper-level LT. Chevy doesn't break out the details in the press release announcing the price, but you can see the trim details for the standard gas-powered 2014 Impala here. Exact information on the 2015 models is not available just yet, but GM spokesman Chad Lyons told AutoblogGreen that the equipment that you see listed on the site for 2014 is "almost exactly the same" as what will be available for 2015. The 2015 Impala gets around 19 city mpg on CNG, but official EPA numbers are not yet available. That means the LS will come with 18-inch aluminum wheels, electric variable-assist power steering, projector-beam headlamps, and 10 air bags. The LT adds an eight-inch touch screen with MyLink, premium Cloth interior and dual-zone automatic climate controls. The cost for this upgrade is unspecified. For CNG purposes, we can ignore the numerical prefix used for the gas-powered LT trims, since that denominates the engine type, and all the CNG models use a 3.6-liter engine with hardened valves and valve seats that can better handle natural gas. The trunk capacity also drops from 18.8 cubic feet to 10 cu .ft. in order to fit in the CNG tank that holds the equivalent of 7.8 gallons of gas. That amount of CNG should move you 150 city miles, which is around 19 mpg, but official EPA numbers are not yet available. With the addition of the gasoline on board, the overall range is 500 city miles. The car burns CNG when available and switches to gas with "no interruption" either when the tank is empty or when the driver selects the gas tank. Find more details in the press release below. GM says the CNG Impala will will be available nationwide this fall. CNG is a growing fuel in the US, thanks in part to fracking. The Civic Natural Gas, which starts at $26,640, is growing towards a nationwide availability. Next year, for example, the Shell Eco-marathon Americas in Detroit will allow CNG for the first time. Some 2012-13 Chevy Volts may not have enough battery coolant

Mon, Jun 23 2014

The 2012 and 2013 model year Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in vehicle may have a battery glitch caused by low coolant levels. No recall has been issued and General Motors is taking care of the issue at no cost to drivers. Some of the affected Volts may have lower-than-advisable coolant levels because of some pesky air pockets in the car's cooling circuit. When the coolant levels get too low, the charging system for the battery powering the car's onboard generator (i.e. the Rechargeable Energy Storage System, or the RESS) may be shut down, turning one's Volt into a run-of-the-mill gas-powered car, and a pricey one at that. The Car Connection says GM is advising owners of the '12 and '13 Volts to contact their local Chevy dealer for a free fix. GM representatives didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from AutoblogGreen for more details. We believe this is a separate issue than the one that brought 8,000 Volts back to the dealers for a battery coolant fix, what GM called a "voluntary customer satisfaction effort," a few years ago. General Motors sold 23,094 Chevy Volts last year after selling 23,461 Volts in 2012, so that fix-it list may get fairly lengthy. Check out a GM-Volt.com user thread related to this issue here. *UPDATE: Chevrolet spokesman Randy Fox confirmed in an e-mail to AutoblogGreen that the company issued a service bulletin to dealers that they may need to top off coolant levels on certain Volts because of the issue, and that the vehicle will "return to normal charging operation" once that's done.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
