1949 Chevrolet Pick-up, Street Rod, unfinished. This vehicle is a great start to a great truck. The cab of the vehicle is in very good condidion. The frame of the vehicle is from an 86 Chevrolet pick-up, also in good condition. Steering and brakes and suspension is on the frame. The wheels and tires are new. Centerline wheels, Micky Thompson rear tires, Cooper Fronts. Body is fitted and sitting on the frame, but not attached. The motor is a fresh 383 with a ceramic coated tunnel ram and fender headers "0" miles on the motor. This truck has a lot of potential. I have moved across the country and have no where to store it. It is located in Kiel, Wisconsin and is well protected in a garage. If you would like to see the vehicle that can be arranged by calling and asking for Marty @ 920-980-5301. The original frame also goes with the truck. No problems with the frame, just had the newer frame to use and much easier to find parts for the newer frame. The Pick-up bed and fenders also goes with the truck. The bed is not in as good of condition, but is certainly salvagable. Good Luck Bidding and Thanks for looking.

2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same
Sat, Jul 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
GM throttles back Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse production over swollen inventories
Wed, 06 Feb 2013As inventory of the Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse continues to pile up, General Motors will be idling its Fairfax Assembly Plant for two weeks, according to Automotive News. This move comes about a month after the plant was shut down for three weeks in late December and early January for the same reason. As of January 31, the GM had a 94-day supply of Malibu stock while the LaCrosse was a little worse with a 117-day supply.
Just last week, GM announced that it would be investing $600 million in upgrading this plant, but it's unclear what future plans the company has in store for Fairfax considering slow sales of both the plant's models. We do expect a refreshed and more luxurious LaCrosse shortly and an early design update for the Malibu to be announced at some point this year, although we have had no official word as to when either will happen.
