1970 Chevrolet C20 Cst Custom Camper Special 4wd 4x4 Rare Longbed. on 2040-cars
Redding, California, United States
This is my 1970 Chevy CST 4wd 3/4 Ton custom camper special. It is a long bed. The camper shell is included. It runs good and I use it as my daily driver. The drive shaft and rear end have been beefed up (don't know what kind) and there is a Gear-vendor gear splitter installed that helps with higher end speeds. Tires are in good shape. This is a rare truck. In 1970 the UAW went on strike, stopping production of these truck so the numbers are low. The engine has been beefed up with an Edelbrock RPM Proformer intake and Carb, and a beefier cam. Hooker headers are also installed. The Truck sounds mean! The transmission is a 4 speed with 1st gear being a granny-low. I have over $3000 in new parts for this truck still new in the boxes that I have never installed. Some of which are complete interior, new radio (installs in factory holes so no cutting of the dash is needed) New front bumper, new fuel tank selector valve, seat foam, front grill bezel, carpet kit, Weather stripping, and more. I can remember it all.I was going to restore the truck but I have come to the conclusion that I just don't have the time to do it. The body is very straight and there is little rust other than surface rust. It is a California truck and has not been exposed to harsh conditions or road salts. There is some bondo work on the tailgate and on on the bed of the truck and also the rear of the cab where the previous owner took off the silver trim and was in the process of smoothing over the mounting stubs. See pics. the milage reads about 58,000 but I don't know if it has turned or not.
The truck has A/C but it currently is not hooked up. I don't think it would take much to get it going. Power steering and power breaks. New rear window with slider. Factory Tach and A/C.
Thanks for looking. Please feel free to contact me if you have and questions. The truck can be seen in Redding, California. I will help with meeting with your shipper if needed.

GM, UAW poaching Nissan workers in Tennessee
Tue, Sep 8 2015General Motors and the United Auto Workers are going on a recruitment drive at the Spring Hill factory in Tennessee, and they're hoping to poach some skilled workers from Nissan's nearby plant in Smyrna, TN. The General and the union even bought a billboard advertising for industrial electricians near the Japanese automaker's facility, according to the Daily News Journal. The reason for the billboard was simple. "GM was short of electricians," said Tim Stannard, the president of the UAW local at Spring Hill, to the Daily News Journal. The factory currently builds the Chevrolet Equinox but has a contract to assemble the next generation of Ecotec engines and the Cadillac XT5, which replaces the SRX. Thanks to the $185-million deal, employment there is expected to double by May 2016, according to Stannard, with roughly 1,800 additional union jobs. Beyond just several billboards, GM has job postings online for the Spring Hill plant looking for workers with specific skills. There has already been some interest in the positions among Nissan employees, Stannard indicated. According to a recent study by the Center for Automotive Research, the average GM worker currently makes $58 an hour, including benefits. Comparatively, Nissan pays an average of $42 an hour with benefits. The General's number could change in the coming weeks because its contract with the UAW is about to expire, and higher wages are among the major negotiating points.
Outrageous Thor24 semi truck to appear in the new season of 'Jay Leno's Garage'
Tue, Apr 28 2020Wednesday is Jay Leno's birthday, and CNBC used the occasion to announce the upcoming season of Jay Leno's Garage. In a new teaser video, Leno is seen with a stacked list of guests, some new, some repeats, as well as a wild gamut of vehicles, including the absolutely insane 24-cylinder, 3,424-horsepower Thor24. The outrageous semi build, which sold at auction in Saudi Arabia earlier this year for a whopping $12 million (or $1 million per supercharger) will join the likes of the Tesla Cybertruck and a recliner on wheels on the upcoming season of Jay's series. Thor24 View 24 Photos The formula for Jay Leno's Garage is simple, successful, and not changing anytime soon. He brings out a bunch of famous people, some of which are real enthusiasts, others who have more casual driving backgrounds, and they experience a vehicle together. In the short clip released by CNBC, Leno is accompanied by Elon Musk (again), Danny Trejo, Bill Burr, Tim Allen, Jon Hamm, Brad Garrett, Jeff Dunham, Kelly Clarkson, Matt LeBlanc, Blake Shelton, Norm MacDonald, Edd China, and Jon Lovitz. View this post on Instagram Thank you for sharing your dream with us. Happy Birthday, Jay! Love always, your @cnbcprime Family. A post shared by Jay Leno's Garage (@jaylenosgarage) on Apr 28, 2020 at 8:27am PDT The people, however, are merely social lubricants to spotlight the real stars of the show, the cars. This season will include the Tesla Cybertruck, the record-breaking Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+, a 1965 Buick Riviera, a naked cat car, an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a Porsche Taycan, a modern Ford GT, a Chevrolet Corvette C8 hard-top convertible, amphicars, a snail car, a beetle car, a couch car, and the 24-cylinder, 12-supercharger, 3,424-horsepower Thor24 semi. Just to name a few. As usual, there will be racing, stunts, spinouts, smoke from both tires and engines, and lots of silly dad jokes. Season 5 of Jay Leno's Garage debuts on CNBC on May 20 at 10 p.m. ET.
