You are bidding on a 1967 Chevrolet C-30 Flatbed Dually Farm Truck. I have a receipt for the restoration work thus far for $12,900. I can tell you that the truck runs and drives like it should. It is not a hotrod. The transmission and clutch are strong like it was when it was new. It has granny gear in first and reverse which takes some getting use to. I always start out in 2nd gear when driving it on the road. It doesn't leak any fluids of any kind.There are no rips, tears or stains on the bench seat. It looks new and authentic.
I bought it a couple months back and planned on using as a "promotion truck" for my Public Auction business. The problem is, its just too nice for that. I can't stand the thought of scratching it. The bed looks like it was built by a cabinetmaker. The paint is bright and looks like a factory finish. It is obvious to me that the restoration was done according to factory detail. It has 6 new tires that would have been how the truck was ordered in 1967. The engine compartment and fender wells are clean and the frame is as black as midnight. The dash panel has gauges and not dummy lights. I love that feature. The speedometer and gas gauge work for sure but I can't say for sure if the rest of them do. This would make a perfect promo or theme truck for your business. Put your company logo on the doors or put a stake bed on it? It certainly makes a statement and you will love this truck. You will appreciate the detail of the build when you see it. These are my truthful opinions but please use your own judgement when bidding. It's an old classic. Chevy SS prototype spotted wearing Pontiac G8 clothes

Do not adjust your computer screen, you are not seeing the rebirth of the Pontiac brand. General Motors has chosen to use a G8 to disguise a test mule for the latest prototype of the forthcoming Chevrolet SS. The G8 was closely related to the Holden Commodore and Vauxhall VXR, the platform upon which the new Chevrolet performance model will be based. It should come as little surprise, then, that GM has opted to use the cladding from the former G8.
Thought the front clip of this mule is pure Pontiac, note the vents immediately behind the front wheel. That is a distinctive design hallmark of the Vauxhall VXR. Also note that this vehicle is right-hand drive, as the Holden and its Chevy counterpart will be very closely related. That likely includes potential drivetrains. The spy photos of this mule also reveal very wide rear tires, and rear wheels that do not match the fronts.
GM recalls full-size truck, SUVs and vans over faulty shifter mechanism
Mon, 07 Jan 2013Twelve different General Motors vehicles from the 2013 model year, up to 54,686 units in total, are being recalled over two potential issues with their steering columns. The models in question, all full-size trucks, SUVs or vans, are the: Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT, Chevrolet Avalanche, Express, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and GMC Savana, Sierra, Yukon and Yukon XL.
The affected vehicles were built with a fractured parking lock cable or "a malformed steering column lock actuator gear in the lock module assembly." As a consequence, they could shift out of park without the brake pedal being applied or with the key removed or in the off position.
A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicates that the recall should begin on January 17. GM will notify owners, at which time they can take their vehicles to their dealers for repair free of charge. Have a look at the bulletin below for more information.
Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum.
