You are bidding on a 1967 Chevrolet C-30 Flatbed Dually Farm Truck.  I have a receipt for the restoration work thus far for $12,900.  I can tell you that the truck runs and drives like it should.  It is not a hotrod.  The transmission and clutch are strong like it was when it was new.  It has granny gear in first and reverse which takes some getting use to.  I always start out in 2nd gear when driving it on the road.  It doesn't leak any fluids of any kind. There are no rips, tears or stains on the bench seat.  It looks new and authentic.

I bought it a couple months back and planned on using as a "promotion truck" for my Public Auction business.  The problem is, its just too nice for that.  I can't stand the thought of scratching it.  The bed looks like it was built by a cabinetmaker.  The paint is bright and looks like a factory finish.  It is obvious to me that the restoration was done according to factory detail.  It has 6 new tires that would have been how the truck was ordered in 1967.  The engine compartment and fender wells are clean and the frame is as black as midnight.

The dash panel has gauges and not dummy lights.  I love that feature.  The speedometer and gas gauge work for sure but I can't say for sure if the rest of them do.

This would make a perfect promo or theme truck for your business. Put your company logo on the doors or put a stake bed on it?  It certainly makes a statement and you will love this truck.  You will appreciate the detail of the build when you see it.

These are my truthful opinions but please use your own judgement when bidding.  It's an old classic.  I make no guarantees or warranty expressed or implied.

Suzuki recalls 2 million cars globally

Wed, Apr 22 2015

Suzuki is recalling two million vehicles across the globe, including a number of Chevrolet Cruze sedans that it builds for General Motors, because the ignition switches may begin to smoke. None of the Cruzes being recalled were sold in the US, though. This recall is limited to the Japanese, European and Australian markets. In Suzuki's home market, 1,873,000 vehicles are being recalled, including the Cruze and a number kei cars built for Mazda (the Carol and AZ-Wagon), as well as the automaker's own Alto, Wagon R and Swift. Affected vehicles were built between 1998 and 2009. The remaining 133,000 vehicles include Cruzes and other Suzuki products sold in Europe and Australia. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents due to the 67 reported incidents, all of which come from the Japanese market, a Suzuki spokesperson told Automotive News. Related Video:

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

GM already raising prices on 2014 Silverado and Sierra pickups

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

General Motors must be pretty pleased with sales of its two newest pickups, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, as it's announced price hikes for both models, as part of a planned price tweak.
Prices will be bumped by as much as $1,500, although weirdly, they'll be offset by as much as $1,500 in cash-back offers through the end of October. Fox Business reports that GM spokesman Jim Cain said of the price hike, "With the sell down of the '13 models nearly complete, this price adjustment was planned and is a normal part of business."
The move, as Fox is quick to point out, is an interesting one, as sales of the twin pickups struggled last month relative to the Ford F-Series, while both of GM's crosstown competitors have been aggressively undercutting Silverado and Sierra prices. The F-150 starts at $24,070 and the Ram 1500 comes in at $23,600, not counting any cash on the hood. A base Silverado, meanwhile, retails at $25,575.
