1966 Chevy K10 - 4 Wheel Drive,Short Box, Step-Side

Great pickup for a complete restoration or just to drive...
Much has already been done. Not much rust for 48 years old.
I bought it in 1975. Shortly after I got it I rebuilt a 350 and changed out the 6 cylinder.
It was parked from 2001 till 2013. I did a lot to get it back on the road.
Who ever buys it,... Buys it where it is and you are responsible for all recovery and or all shipping.

Things done to get back on the road:
Carb Rebuild Kit- Plug Wires - Valve Cover Gaskets- Change Oil and Filter-
Fresh Fuel -
Fuel Pump- New Coil - Points & Condense
Rebuild Kit in Brake Master Cyl.-
Blew out Brake Lines
New Battery Tray- New Battery
Pulled Gas Tank Twice to soak & scrub, Gas Tank was Steamed
Installed New Sending Unit - Changed Gas Filters Twice

 For your Information:
I used Redwood in the box for the weather protection -
Have gone through the Rear
differential
(never into front differential,
transmission, or transfer case)
I also have a few new transfer case parts
New brake drums, shoes, brake cylinder kits installed before parked
I had seat recovered before parked, some sunburn
If you shift into 3rd too fast there's a little grind
rust under hood rubber guards - I do have original tail gait hooks
                                                                                                                                                      Things to Fix:
cracked windshield - driver's headlight adjuster broken-
steering play but goes good down the road - Side Window Seals not great
two different paints front to back - inside cab not painted
same old tires, spare is a biased tire - speedometer doesn't work
2 broken heater levers but have 1 new lever - amber park lights, little cracking
rear spring bushings won't take grease - 3 brake bleeders don't act right
new 1/2 fenders on front, traded a fender for the work,
I shouldn't have, some new rust

  Extra stuff:
new dome light - new windshield rubber - alternators,(1 new, 2 used)
starter - coils - distributor- orig. heater parts - backup lights (original... didn't put in)
some new steering parts -
4X4 how to sticker - 3 fenders, 2 original, 1 unsure of
original tail gate - new glove box inside
I have steering box, supposed to work for power steering??
lots of small parts and other things.

I have tried to be Thorough,... and most importantly Honest in my Description
of How Good this Vehicle Is and the Few Flaws it has...

I would Drive this Solid DependableTruck Anywhere...
I didn't rebuild it to sell it but that is what I am choosing to do at this time.

I think between the pictures and the lists above
 it should be covered,..
for sure !!

GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak

Wed, Sep 24 2014

General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. puts his Callaway Corvette and '55 Chevy on eBay

Sat, Jan 24 2015

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has put a couple of his personal cars up for sale on eBay. The first is a 1955 Chevy Bel Air that Junior had reworked by Funkmaster Flex, a bit of a diversion from Flex's more common Ford efforts. Junior's ride has a replacement chassis from Jim Meyer Racing, a 434 small-block tuned by Sharioff Racing to 500 horsepower, and truly thin rubber on what appear to be aluminum billet rims with Junior's former number 8 on the center caps. The interior is all custom and painted to match the outside, and those seats have been completely reupholstered. The second car is a 1999 Callaway C12, the 18th of 19 C12s built that year and featured in a 2002 issue of AutoWeek. It joined Earnhardt's private collection in 2004. Built on the base of a C5 Chevrolet Corvette and using a lot of technical know-how from Callaway's European racing program, the BMW #287 Blue Pearl C12 had its V8 bored out to 6.2 liters and graced with Callaway's Supernatural upgrade; it also has a Callaway coil-over suspension with adjustable dampers. There's new bodywork all around, and when new it cost about $200,000. At the time of writing bidding on the Bel Air was up to $80,100, the C12 was at $63,100. The auction ends Monday morning, and the winning bidders have the option of having their prizes autographed and retrieving the keys from Dale Jr himself if they're willing to go to Moorseville, NC. Are you the 2014 Corvette Grand Sport?

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

When are stripes more than just stripes? Follow up question: Is the product development team at Chevrolet really cocky enough to hide the next C7 Corvette variant in plain sight? This very recently spotted, and ostensibly obscured C7 asks a lot more questions than it answers, but there's at least some evidence to support that it might be the next Corvette Grand Sport.
The first and most obvious tip-off that something is up with this 'Vette revolves around those silver stripes. Obviously the stripes themselves don't necessarily denote a new model. However, when Chevy recently launched its "colorizer" website for the Stingray, there was no provision made for racing stripes - solid colors only.
Grand Sport exhibit number two is actually an incriminating lack of badges. The production Corvettes we've seen to date have all carried Stingray badges on their fenders, just behind the vent. The car seen in these images has no such badges, which is an intriguing omission on an car that looks like a production-spec vehicle otherwise.
