Up for sale is my 1961 Chevrolet Apache 20 (3/4 ton) BIG WINDOW Custom Cab pickup. It is a very hard to find model just in being a 1961 Custom Cab, but is even rarer that it came as you see it with the highly sought after stainless steel cab and body mouldings. It has all of its original wood bed floor and is undented inside the bed because it had a camper shell on it all its life. The bed is nice overall and the tailgate is perfect and undented. It has the original #'s matching 235 straight 6 cylinder engine coupled to its original 3 speed manual transmission that came w/ the bigger optional 11" clutch. It has a new clutch, new brakes all around, new starter, new tune-up parts (coil, points, thermostat etc) new carbeurator and it runs like a sewing machine. It only has 56K actual miles on it, and was kept in a pole barn all its life and just driven locally. However, the weather beat at the passenger side because of how it was always parked, so the pass side sheetmetal is quite a bit rustier than the drivers side but I have a replacement passenger side front fender, passenger door and although not really needed, I even have a spare passenger side bedside or a whole super nice longbed itself if someone wants these at extra cost to help restore it. I also have a nearly perfect solid 60-61 bubble hood someone could buy to use in the restoration.

It has all the expected rusty areas like the usual rust holes they all get along the door jamb sill plate where the doors shuts and a few in the corners of the floorpan where the kick panel meets the floor board but does not look to need pans. I think all can be fixed with the usual sheetmetal patching required on most 60's trucks. Will need outer cab floor work and probably rockers and cab corners as expected. The rear window is cracked badly but I have a replacement that goes with the truck. Door bottom on drivers door needs typical welding work, and pass side door needs full replacement. Drivers front fender is decent and workable, but not the pass side - it needs replaced. The grill support and radiator supports need work or replacement. Like I said, I have all the stuff you need to repair this truck if you want to make a deal to acquire the truck and the parts we can certainly toss some ideas around - I will work with you on this. Overall, its a great driver and "patina truck" in that it sports 100% of its original Red and White paint and the kick panel tag reflects the correct rare red and white factory paint and trim codes. The SUPER RARE stainless trim is all pretty much in tact minus the pass side door piece and some of it will need dings and dents removed if you restore it for show. Everything on this truck works I think except the gas guage, and the temp guage. The the radio hole is mildly and neatly cut and needs to be fixed. I have a patch panel for the radio hole. I was driving this truck pretty often last year and it has never smoked, or tried to not run - very dependable engine and total drivetrain. The 3 speed column has been known to hang up occasionally going into 2nd if you are not easy enough with it, but that could be because I am not too good at driving a manual trans truck. All my others are automatics.

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.

With our Alex Kierstein rightly impressed in his first-drive review of the new 2018 Ford Expedition, we decided to dig a little deeper into the numbers, and we came up with the spreadsheet below to highlight how the new 2018 Expedition compares on paper to its main full-size SUV competitors: the 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban (and therefore the 2018 GMC Yukon), 2018 Toyota Sequoia and 2018 Nissan Armada. We also threw in the new, even bigger 2018 Chevrolet Traverse since, as you'll see, its massive dimensions should put it on the radar for anyone who needs loads of passenger and cargo space but doesn't care as much about towing. A few notes about the chart above. First, the 6.2-liter V8 that's included with the new-for-2018 Tahoe RST trim level is the standard engine on the GMC Yukon Denali. You can apply most of the Tahoe's numbers to the entire Yukon and Yukon XL lineup. Second, though we highlighted categories where the Traverse led, we also highlighted the runner-up full-size SUV, since this was ultimately about that segment. How a Texas Hyundai dealer became the Chevy SSR king

The SSR isn't one of the most appreciated vehicles in Chevy's long history. With a style amalgamating the look of a vintage hotrod, convertible and a pickup, it's really serving a niche market right from the start. However, a Hyundai dealer in Texas has turned selling the cult models into a booming business and has become the de facto king of the quirky truck. According to Automotive News, Paul Peebles runs North Freeway Hyundai in Spring, TX, but he's better known in the Chevy SSR community the premiere seller of the weird model through his used car network. The odd venture started in 2010 when Peebles wanted to boost his pre-owned business and bought several sporty vehicles. Among them were five SSRs, and he threw a cookout for owners to get the word out. Things just ballooned from there. Since then, Peebles' used car dealer has had a hand in 447 SSR transactions, and some of those are the same truck coming back to sell again. With just over 24,000 of them out there, that works about to two percent of the model's production moving through just one business. The dealership also sponsors an SSR owners' forum online. Being a major broker for a niche model also means that Peebles often gets rare examples of the SSR, including some of the Indianapolis 500 pace car versions, according to Automotive News. We even saw a bizarre one last year when the business put this shark-inspired truck on eBay Motors. The whole thing also works out well for Peebles' Hyundai business. Specializing in SSRs brings other performance models in as trade-ins, and they can draw folks to the lot to check out the collection. Then, maybe visitors can take a look at a Sonata, too.
