235 W 3SPD ON COLUMN. RUNS AND DRIVES EFFORTLESSLY W NO ISSUES OF ANY KIND! WAS OLD PASADENA SCHOOL DISTRICT TRUCK, I BOUGHT IT FROM THE OWNERS NEPHEW AND HE SAID HIS UNCLE WORKED FOR THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AND BOUGHT IT MANY YEARS AGO. LOGOS ARE FADED BUT STILL ON THE DOORS. HE SAID THATS THE ORIGINAL MILEAGE HOWEVER I HAVE NO WAY TO CONFIRM OR DISPUTE THAT, BUT FROM THE TRUCKS CONDITION AND THE WAY IT DRIVES STEERS ETC, I DONT DOUBT IT. ALL LIGHTS WORK AS THEY SHOULD, EVEN HAZARD FLASHER AND INTERIOR DOME LIGHT. I REBUILT THE CARB AND INSTALLED NEW MANUAL CHOKE, AS WELL AS NEW HOSES SEAT HAS 2 TEARS IN IT, DRIVER FLOOR HAS SMALL RUST SPOT(SEE PICS) TRUCK HAS GREAT PATINA!!!! HAS DENTS AND DINGS ON DRIVERS SIDE(SEE PICS) NO LEAKS, NO NOISE, JUST RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A JEWEL, QUIET AND SMOOTH. HAS CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE AND CURRENTLY TAGGED TIL NOV 2014 CALI PLATES. Chevy exec confirms SS production model reveal at Daytona on Feb 16
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The 2014 Chevrolet SS will make its racing debut for the 2013 Daytona 500, but the production version of the car will get its official unveiling on February 16 in Daytona, a week before The Great American Race. According to a report by Automotive News, the reveal has been confirmed by Jim Campbell, Chevy's US vice president of performance and motorsports. With the departure of the Dodge Charger, the new Chevrolet racecar will be the only competitor to feature a V8, rear-wheel-drive layout in both street and NASCAR form.
NASCAR fans will be able to see the new fullsize performance-oriented sedan on display in the festivities leading up to the Daytona 500, but the car won't go on sale until later in the year. The Australian-built Chevy SS will be a low-volume performance model, and it will be priced above the 2014 Impala, which starts at $27,535.
It won't be long now before Nissan Leaf finally overtakes Chevy Volt
Thu, Dec 25 2014The two best-selling plug-in vehicles ever are the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf. When the two vehicles launched in late 2010, the plug-in hybrid Volt quickly outpaced the all-electric Leaf and, despite lots of ups and downs since then, continues to hold on to a cumulative sales lead. This will change in 2015. Cumulatively, from November 2010 through November 2014, the Volt sold 71,867 units while the Leaf trails with 69,220. That's a difference of just 2,647. Based on current trends (with the Leaf selling around 2,500-2,700 a month and the Volt at 1,500-1,700) we expect the Leaf to take over either in January or, more likely, February when the Leaf takes over as the most popular plug-in car in America. Perhaps even March, depending on how low the numbers are for January and February, which are always slow sales months in the US. Of course, once it takes the crown, the Leaf can't expect to easily hold on for long. A new Volt is coming in the second half of 2015, likely beating a new Leaf to market. The question is, then, how well the Chevy sells with all of its new bells and whistles. Do you think the Volt will be the comeback kid once the 2016 model becomes available? UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
