Starr, South Carolina, United States
Vehicle Title:Clear
Make: Chevrolet
Drive Type: mustang ii
Model: Other Pickups
Mileage: 1
Trim: apache
I built this truck from the ground up, and can assure that no corners was cut in the build. The frame, firewall, fender wells, motor, interior, under carridge is all painted shiny black. Underneath looks as good as a new truck. This is a very dependable truck, I wouldnt be scared to drive it anywhere. Does not follow cracks in the road or bottom out, Handles excellent!
BODY: To start its a 1959 chevy apache fleetside, sbw, shortbox. The body is in great shape with minimun rust. It does have a dent or two but they are the charater of the truck. The glass is good, all but the vent windows are cracked. The doors shut very well, as does the hood and tailgate. It has the cattle guard on the front off of a mid 50s wrecker truck (very cool piece).
RUNNING GEAR: Original frame with MUSTANG II suspention,( tubular a arms, drop spindles, big brake conversion, manual rack,[all new]) 400 sbc, (well built with all new gaskets,56 caddy breather, new holley carb, aluminum valve covers, [everything fresh], 350 turbo transmission (new floor shifter,3200 stall convetor, van chase shift knob) coker wide whitewalls ( front 670 r15, rear 760 r15 [new]), straight pipes, 342 locker rear.
INTERIOR: Original styled, black on brown paint, bottom half is semi black bed liner, tach, gas ,temp, oil pressure gauges all work, windows operate great, all new switches installed (headlight, ingnition, ect), nice seat with a few tears, new carpet, 57 steering wheel, original column, tall shifter. pics dont do justice to how good it looks.
OTHER: Mr. Roadster 12 circuit wiring harness, optima yellow top battery, metal visor, The inner headlights are painted blue, and work off a seperate switch, bed floor is raised 3 1/2 inches, flooring is original style with cedar boards and metal painted strips, 59 caddy tailights, original tank behind seat.
Hopefully I covered must of everything, I have alot invested in this truck. It is a real attention hogg at any show, and I havnt got a negative comment yet. The siren and tags are the only things I am removing, Everything thing else goes. I didnt build it to sell but have since found another project so here it is. I will gladly answer any questions and will respond promptly. Thanks and happy bidding! -- 513 CHOP SHOP / NIK WILLIAMSON

Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
Thanks for keeping us on our toes, Detroit Auto Show [w/poll]
Wed, Jan 14 2015Here at Autoblog, we love unexpected debuts at auto shows – and judging by our Detroit Auto Show comments and traffic, you do, too. Surprise reveals have been fewer and farther between in recent years with so many ways for vehicles to be teased or leak out, but this week's show has been a revelation. More to the point, it's been a series of revelations, with automakers from around the globe successfully delivering a brace of concept and production surprises. It's made our jobs a lot more exciting and challenging this week, and even though it's actually more work to react and run-and-gun when the sheet is pulled on a surprise reveal than it is to publish an already-written embargoed story, we've had more fun covering this show for you than any domestic show in memory. We hope you've enjoyed the surprises along with us. To that end, borrowing the words of an unnamed automaker PR flack, we'd like to thank the following automakers for enduring "mountain of antacids" and that "creeping sense of paranoia" necessary to keeping ones' wares totally under wraps until the sheets are pulled off the sheetmetal: Buick Avenir concept Chevrolet Bolt concept Ford GT concept Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Hyundai HCD-15 Santa Cruz concept And while we're at it, we'd like to throw in an shout-out to Detroit's substantially revised and revitalized Cobo Center, and in particular, the redone Michelin media center, which is arguably the single best accommodations for writing show stories that we've encountered on the entire international circuit. Well done, everyone. Thank you, and keep the surprises coming. Auto News Detroit Auto Show Buick Chevrolet Ford Hyundai Volvo 2015 Detroit Auto Show
