1958 Hales Speed shop Apache Ls Bagged
One previous owner big back window Texas truck. Complete frame off professional rebuild with all new components.
Absolutely no compromises or short cuts.
The truck was built by Hales Speed Shop. This is the sixth Hot Rod he has built for me and definitely the best. If
your familiar with Hales then you know the level of quality and craftsmanship they put into their builds (you can
check out build pics of the truck on their Instagram page). If your not familiar check them out. This is an
opportunity to get a new build save a lot of money and leg work, without a two year wait.
This truck was true local barn find. The old man bought it new in Los Angeles in 1958 and drove it out to Texas in
64 to the small town I live in. In the early 90s he decided to restore it so he took the glass out, pulled the bed
off and started sanding on it. That's how it sat in his barn for the next twenty plus years till I bought it.
Chassis and suspension: Custom Hales speed shop using a highly modified Fat Man Fab front and Custom 3 link rear.
Air ride all custom, Vivair compressors, Firestone bags, Semi Brake line fittings. Rides like a Caddy, Lays Frame
and doesn't drag. I can't express how great this truck rides and drives. This is not some off the shelf air ride
kit but a Professionally designed, engineered, and built suspension system. It truly rides and drives better than a
new car and is built to last.
Engine and Drivetrain: New LS 6 with custom ground Comp cam, valve springs, edlebrock victor jr intake, 72lb
injectors, 1200cfm throttle body. Vintage air front runner accessory drive. Transmission Built 4l80 with billet
converter. New Curry 9" rear with 35 spline axles and 3:73 Posi. Drivetrain was built to handle 1000hp and be
bulletproof.
Interior: Full Custom leather interior by Neil Cloud. Cab covered in dynomat and dynofoam. Ididit column with
shifter, shrunk down 60 Impala wheel. Full Dakota digital gauge pod with analog read out. Custom Vintage air A/C
with largest box they make(will freeze you out). Electric wipers, Complete wire harness , One piece side glass, all
windows, seals and rubbers replaced.
Paint and body: fleet side bed with new professionally handmade arrow trim. Bed floor custom fabbed oak and steel
bed floor. All chrome on entire truck either replaced with new or re-chromed and painted. Most visible bolts
replaced with stainless. Body stripped down and painted gloss black ( single stage). Nice driver quality paint
nicer than most rods.
Tires and Wheels Bfg Silvertowns wide whites on Wheel Smiths Chrome steelies with spider caps.
I drive my Hot Rods everyday and that is what this truck was built for. This truck is completely professionally
built from the ground up with the best new components out there. It was built to run hundreds of thousands of miles
trouble free. It will smoke the tires at any speed and get 25mpg at 85 on the highway. This is not a trailer queen
show truck. It is beautiful, but it is also the most Badass Apache out there that you can drive coast to coast.
It's basically like having a brand new corvette with a 58 Apache body.

Chevy EN-V 2.0 coming to Tianjin Eco-City in China
Fri, Jun 20 2014Chevrolet is bringing its EN-V 2.0 to the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City in China to show off the "Electric Networked-Vehicle" and demonstrate sustainable urban mobility. The small, two-seat EV concept is an updated version of the original EN-V, a vision of getting around in a future world where space is at a premium and clean air is a priority. So what better place to showcase the evolved EN-V than at the Tianjin Eco-City? The Eco-City is being developed as a planned urban space with eco-consciousness built in. The joint venture between China and Singapore offers an alternative to country living and smog-filled cities. Tianjin Eco-City, slated to be completed by 2020, will be able to offer 350,000 inhabitants clean air and water, renewable energy, green transportation and living spaces and, if all goes as planned, jobs for 50 percent of the residents. Currently, only about three square kilometers of the planned 30 square kilometers have been built, with only about 6,000 permanent residents, but there's still time. The EN-V 2.0, as the "Networked" part of its name suggests, not only features mobile internet, but can communicate with other cars around it. Along with GPS and built-in sensors, this connection between vehicles allows the car to drive autonomously (at least in theory - again, there's still time). This is ideal in an urban environment where congestion can be a major issue. The EN-V 2.0 improves upon the original concept with climate control, storage space and all-weather capability, which also make life more bearable and daily commuting possible. We first saw renderings of the updated vehicle in 2012. The Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 will be used in the Eco-City's National Animation Industry Park and Eco-Business Park of the course of the two-week demonstration. Read on below for more in the press release from GM. GM to Demonstrate Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 in Tianjin Eco-City SHANGHAI – General Motors today announced that it will begin demonstrating the Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 (Electric Networked-Vehicle) in the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City this week, signaling the company's learning and progress in sustainable urban mobility. The demonstration will help GM further understand consumers' usage of low-speed transportation tools for their daily commute. During the two-week demonstration period, the EN-V 2.0s will be used in the National Animation Industry Park and Eco-Business Park inside the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City.
Expect greater differentiation in GM's next-generation SUVs
Thu, 03 Jan 2013General Motors says its next-generation Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade models will offer shoppers improved interior differentiation. Car and Driver recently caught up with Chris Hilts, GM's creative manager of interior design, who said that the cabins will all feature unique instrument panels, consoles, center stacks and switchgear moving forward. Apparently GM is now aware that consumers may be bothered by the fact that today's $85,000 Escalade has effectively the same cabin as a $45,000 Tahoe. Hilts says SUV buyers want more refinement than their pickup purchasing counterparts - and those same buyers also want their SUVs to have more exterior differentiation between the company's Silverado and Sierra pickup lines. Shocking.
That all sounds good to us, but we've heard this song and dance before. GM made big waves about how different the new-for-2013 Silverado and Sierra would look from each other, but judging by what we've seen so far, GM's stylists are painting in shades rather than with the full spectrum. Junkyard Gem: 2003 Chevrolet Tracker
Wed, May 22 2024When General Motors created the Geo brand to sell vehicles designed and — in some cases — built by Japanese partners, the first four models were introduced for the 1989 model year: the Metro (Suzuki Cultus), Prizm (Toyota Sprinter), Spectrum (Isuzu Gemini) and Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick). Geo got the axe in 1997, with the Metro, Prizm and Tracker becoming Chevrolets. Of those, the Tracker survived the longest, with U.S.-market sales continuing into 2004. Here's an example of a very late Tracker, found in a North Carolina car graveyard recently. The 1989-1997 first-generation Trackers were based on the Suzuki Sidekick, while the 1998-2004 Trackers had the Suzuki Vitaras (not to be confused with the much grander Grand Vitaras) as their siblings. Production of these trucks for the South American market (as the Chevrolet Vitara) continued in Ecuador all the way through 2014. The Tracker name has also gone onto some versions of the Chevrolet Trax around the world. This one is a base four-door hard top/rear-wheel-drive model, which had an MSRP of $17,330. That's about $29,789 in 2024 dollars. You'll find one in every car. You'll see. The engine is a Suzuki 2.0-liter straight-four rated at 127 horsepower and 134 pound-feet. A five-speed manual was base equipment, but very few American vehicle shoppers wanted three pedals by the middle 2000s. This truck has the Aisin four-speed automatic. We like it loud. It appears that someone associated with this truck graduated from Julius L. Chambers High School last year. In the United States, the Tracker was replaced by the Saturn Vue. If Tracker can handle (unspecified Middle Eastern country), it can survive the jungle back home. Siempre contigo.
