1958 Chevrolet Apache Truck on 2040-cars

Year:1958 Mileage:2100
Location:

Dallas, Georgia, United States

Dallas, Georgia, United States

Ok this truck has been in our family for 2 years now.  It has been garaged kept and driven.  It is a 1958 sitting on a 76-78 chevy truck frame.  fuel tank is under the bed and no longer in the cab behind the seat.   The last trip over 50 miles was about 650 miles total.  the truck got 18.2 miles per gallon on this trip.  the truck has a good look to it as it is.  The floors and cab are good with no rust.   the areas around the lower door hinge could have been beefed up a little cleaner but it is what it is.   The truck on a scale of 1-10 is a 5-6 in my eyes.   This is because of the flaws of the body and paint work that could have been done better by just taking more time in my opinion on who ever built the truck.  Jam alignment, scratches( from being driven) , and dings( on tailgate top) painted over are the list of reasons for my opinon on this.  The truck has great eye appeal just needs some beautification time spent on it if someone wants it to be a 30K dollar truck.  I am willing to let the truck go with plenty of room for someone to have a fresh new paint job and then sell to make money or to keep it and still have less than 22-25 K in the truck.

Truck is located in Dallas Ga 30132  .   if you wanna see the truck give me a call at 678-229-8461 to set an appointment.   Feel free to call to discuss the truck also.

Truck is sold on Bill of sale and copy of current GA regisration.   In Ga they do not process titles nor do they require them for vehicles over 25 years of age.   I do not have a title for this truck bill of sale only!

truck is being sold as is no warranty

China's rise, global restructuring wither GM's Korea division

Wed, Jan 7 2015

An article in the Daily Kanban suggests the sun is setting on GM Korea, and it could already be well into dusk. GM Korea came about when General Motors, along with co-investors SAIC and Suzuki, bought Daewoo Motors from parent company Daewoo Group in 2001; it had a previous tie-up with GM, a joint venture that ended in 1992, although Daewoo cars were based on GM cars until 1996. Over the decade following the purchase, it became such an important part of operations that it was renamed GM Korea in 2011, "to reflect its heightened status in [the] global operations of GM." Just two years later, the printed rumors were that the subsidiary responsible for a fifth of Chevrolet's global production could be shutting down. The division's sales were down almost 21 percent through November of last year, counting domestic South Korean sales, exports, and CKD – Complete Knock Down – products. That makes the labor strife, already an issue for four years, even more acute, reports say the subsidiary will lose $36 million a year if it can't get the job and wage cuts it wants, and government concessions can't make up for the losses. And it gets worse, so head over to Daily Kanban to read the rest of the story.

Motor Trend wheels the 2015 Corvette Z06

Tue, Nov 25 2014

The new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is capable of some absolutely wild metrics. Want proof? Carlos Lago from Motor Trend is here to break it all down. 60 miles per hour? 3.2 seconds. 60 to 0? 91 feet. Lateral acceleration? A staggering 1.16g, a figure that is the highest MT has ever recorded for a vehicle that isn't a race car. It's an utterly astonishing piece of work, this Z06, and just when you think it can't possibly get any more impressive, Randy Pobst hustles an auto-equipped Z06 around Road Atlanta in just 1:30. Aside from the eight-speed auto, Pobst's Z06 had the most aggressive aerodynamic package, the so-called Stage III. Take a look at the 650-horsepower Z06 in Motor Trend's latest video.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
