WHAT A FIND, WHILE VACATIONING IN LAS VEGAS,

I AM SELLING THIS 57 FROM VEGAS. IT IS IN VEGAS.

1957 CHEVROLET PICKUP;

IT' HAS OLDER PAINT FADED, CHIPS AND SCRATCHES; ALMOST LIKE OLD SKOOL PATENIA, I LOVE IT.

TO ME THIS IS ALMOST READY TO DRIVE ANYWHERE;

WHAT IT NEEDS IS TIRES, ONE HAS ALLOT OF SIDE CRACKS, THE OTHERS ARE MISMATCHED SIZES.

IF THE ONE WAS CHANGED IT WOULD BE OK TO DRIVE DISTANCE, BUT I WOULD REPLACE THEM ALL WITH WIDE WHITES;

THE MOTOR IS A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY, MILES UNKNOWN. BUT SOUNDS GOOD.

THE FRONT END IS ORIGINAL; THE REAR END , IS, I DON'T KNOW; (CHECK PICTURES)

THIS TRUCK STARTS, RUNS AND DRIVES AND STOPS WELL.

I WILL BE TIDYING UP THE CAB INTERIOR TOMORROW AND POST PICTURS OF THAT, THEN,

THERE IS DUEL EXHAUST, WITH GLASS PACK MUFFLERS.

THE GLASS IS ALL GOOD;

IF YOU NEED A SHOW TRUCK, THIS IS NOT IT;

THIS IS A PERFECT OLD SKOOL EXAMPLE OF GREAT METAL; AND CAN BE ENJOYED RIGHT NOW;

I ALSO WILL BE CHECKING WIRING TOMORROW FOR LIGHTS, ETC.

THERE IS NO NOTICEABLE RUST. AND NO ROT; THERE ARE A FEW PIN HOLES ON DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR

AND ALSO SOME PIN HOLE IN BOTH STEPUPS . VERY AMAZING METAL FOR BEING 57 YEARS OLD.

GM recalling 15k midsize pickups over leaky brakes

Mon, Jun 8 2015

General Motors has announced a recall in coordination with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration related to the brakes on the 2015 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. In the 14,838 units in the United States estimated to be affected, the front brake calipers may be leaking fluid. Needless to say, that could make them less effective, which could hinder the vehicle's ability to stop in time to avoid a collision. The affected units were all manufactured between January 6 and December 24, 2014. The fix seems simple and straightforward enough, with dealers being instructed to inspect the front brake calipers, and replace them if necessary. See below for all the details from NHTSA. RECALL Subject : Brake Fluid Leak Report Receipt Date: MAY 12, 2015 NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V278000 Component(s): SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC Potential Number of Units Affected: 14,838 Manufacturer: General Motors LLC SUMMARY: General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon trucks manufactured January 6, 2014, to December 24, 2014. The affected vehicles may experience the front brake calipers leaking brake fluid. This is due to air pockets, an imperfection in the metal caliper body. CONSEQUENCE: If the vehicle experiences a brake fluid leak it can increase the stopping distance, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. REMEDY: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the front-brake calipers if necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 10, 2015. Owners may contact GM customer service at 1-800-222-1020 (Chevrolet), or 1-800-462-8782 (GMC). GM's number for this recall is 14888. NOTES: Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov. Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
