Vechicle was last on the road in 1974 and due to the gearing in the rear end had a top speed of 55 mph. It does have a lot of surface rust but the metal that remains is solid. Front floor boards are rusted out but replacement pieces can be found online, the van bed behind the seats is wood with metal stringers as it came from the factory and from what I can see in good condition. Has a 6 cyl eng-I am not sure of the size but is original and is missing atleast the water pump and generator and has a 4 speed tranny. Has radiator and driveshaft with 2 extra doors. Tires are pretty much shot, rims are 8 lug split rim type. Has 58545 on odometer. This was a 6 volt system with the starter button on the floor to engage starter. The body is pretty much dent free but the fenders over the rear wheels do have small bangs in them. I used a tow dolly to drag this to NC but would not recommend this to move-I had to use several extra straps on the front end to hold it down but I did tow it about 700 miles. This was an ambulance for the Raquette River Fire Dept in upstate NY at one time and that is where it came from.

2016 Chevy Volt will not need premium gas
Wed, Oct 29 2014Buried in the new technical details of the 2016 Chevy Volt released yesterday was a throwaway line about a small but important change that's due to the new 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. The first-gen Volt has always required premium gas but the new powerplant will be happy burning plain old regular. The Volt's chief engineer, Andrew Farah, told AutoblogGreen that the change was due to today's Volt owners explaining they were not happy paying for top-shelf petroleum. "The ability to use regular unleaded was based directly on customer feedback," he said. "Since the range extender is an all-new engine, it was optimized to use regular unleaded at the outset. Using regular fuel will not have effect on vehicle acceleration or other performance factors." As Larry Nitz, GM's executive director of vehicle electrification, told AutoblogGreen yesterday, the new engine is more powerful and quieter than the outgoing 1.4-liter engine that's used in the current Volt. Fuel economy and EV range specs for the next-gen Volt are not expected until the full car is revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January.
Man surprises girlfriend with C7 Corvette

While a lot of us would likely be flipping out over the still rare sports car, it's a fair bet many more of us would be responding like Pattie here, whose boyfriend stopped by her work to show her her new C7.
Speechless and shocked as she seems, she does end up taking it out for a drive, despite claiming she wasn't really outfitted to handle the car's seven-speed manual transmission at the time. From the sound of the video, we got the impression that she knew the car was coming, just not that it was anywhere near ready for delivery. Netflix to feature electric cars from GM and others in programming
Sun, Feb 5 2023LOS ANGELES — Netflix has unveiled a new star for some of its upcoming programming: electric vehicles from General Motors and other automakers. The streaming service announced an agreement on Thursday to feature vehicles including the Chevrolet Bolt, the electric GMC Hummer pickup and the Cadillac Lyriq in TV series and films "where relevant." The companies will highlight the partnership in a commercial featuring Will Ferrell that will air during the Feb. 12 Super Bowl. Netflix and GM called the agreement "part of a commitment to a more sustainable future." Financial terms were not disclosed. Netflix said it will help creators "better understand how EVs can complement and enhance their stories." Shows that will feature GM's electric vehicles include "Love is Blind," "Queer Eye" and "Unstable." Netflix productions also will include electric vehicles made by other automakers, the company said.
