Here is a great 53 Chevy 3100 driver perfect for cruise ins and just tooling around. It's sharp color (Rollback orange from NAPA) and mean looks get thumbs up every time I take it out. The paint has a gold metal flake that gives it yellow highlights when the sun hits it.
It is on a S10 frame for comfortable driving with a Chevy 350 V8 to get you there on time. It has been chopped about 4" and lowered (not on bags).
New chrome grill, Lokar shifter, chrome tilt steering column and wheel, P215x65x15 front tires and monster P295x50x15 rear tires. New 3/4" hickory bed, beautiful Classic Instruments gauges, halo headlights. New side pipes. Leather seats from a Buick Park Avenue (power but not hooked up). EZ wire 20 circuit fuse box. 11 gallon RCI aluminum fuel cell.
It starts right up and runs and shifts great. The pipes give it a nice throaty sound.
It needs just a little finishing. Grey carpet from stock interiors is included as are the rubber door seals. The side windows are cracked but I'm told that they are $25 - $50.
Overall it is a nice driver and you could just enjoy it or redo it to the next level.
On Jul-09-13 at 06:09:04 PDT, seller added the following information:
Lights, turn signals, gauges work. Electric cooling fan with thermostat and parade override switch on dash. Aluminum radiator.
Windows roll up and down.
Thanks.

Chevrolet considering midsize crossover to slot between Traverse and Equinox
Mon, Jan 9 2017Crossovers are the new hotness, and automakers are looking to cash in by offering a size and shape for every customer. With Chevrolet's debut of the new 2018 Traverse in Detroit, which grew ever so slightly compared to the first-generation model, there is now a midsize-crossover-sized hole between the three-row Traverse and the compact Equinox. When asked about that obvious space, a Chevrolet spokesperson told us the company is looking into the possibility of expanding its crossover lineup. It should be a relatively simple thing to do, since all it would take is reskinning and rechristening the GMC Acadia with a bow tie, and we all know how much GM loves platform sharing. Although they're now different sizes, the new Acadia and Traverse still use the same platform; the Acadia is now on a short-wheelbase version of the C1XX while the Traverse uses long-wheelbase C1XX parts. A short-wheelbase Chevy built on the C1XX likely would be differentiated visually from both the Acadia and the larger Traverse. It may seem like flooding the lineup with more and more models would cannibalize sales of existing ones, but Chevrolet said it would rather have customers stay within the brand rather than going to another automaker. There have been whispers that some form of the Blazer name (possibly TrailBlazer) may make a return on a midsizer, but if it does don't expect an old-school body-on-frame SUV like the old one. In the end, if Chevy builds it, customers will come. Related Video:

2016 Chevy Volt powertrain video teasers
Fri, Oct 31 2014If there's one thing we've learned about plug-in vehicle fans, you have a thing for seeing your cars get made. The series of videos showing BMW i3 production was strangely popular, as were the shots from inside the VW e-Golf plant. Well, with General Motors pulling the veil off of the 2016 Chevy Volt this week, it's time to take a peek at the production process for that vehicle as well. You're welcome. Up first we've got a clip from CNN Money showing a little bit about how the new Volt's new battery pack and other powertrain components are made. Those of you who are trying to read the lithium tea leaves and see if the new shape reveals that the 2016 Volt will have five seats might want to check it out. Then we've got two clips from GM itself, one showing an animation about the updated Voltec powertrain and another with some B Roll of the old Volt. Since GM doesn't want us to see the new car quite yet, we'll have to enjoy this for now. Watch below. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
