1952 Chevrolet 3100 deluxe cab 5 window pickup

Beautiful truck is an older restoration that was done very nicely and has been cared for.
Has very nice blue paint that still shines very nicely, very few minor knicks/chips.  The wood bed is in like new condition.  Excellent chrome all around.
The interior has been recently refurbished again and has brand new black vinyl bench seat and door panels, new handles and chrome glove box door.
The dash is in excellent shape with every single gauge working, it has a perfectly working original heater!  Has RARE orignal radio!!  Brand new black carpet.
All the lights work as they should including high beams.  Has new electric wipers system installed and work perfectly.  Everything on this truck works as it should!

The engine is the original rebuilt 235ci 6 cylinder and it runs flawlessly, starts right up every time and idles quietly.  Converted to 12volt system.  The rebuilt trasmission is the original 3 on the tree and shifts effortless and smooth, has an upgraded ford rear end that allows the truck to easily reach 70mph or more.  VERY smooth down the highway, this is a cruiser that will not have any issues with a long drive.

Brand new chrome rims with new Coker white wall tires.  The suspension was upgraded during the restoration with new springs and new shocks, the entire braking system was also redone, the truck stops quickly and tracks straight, it does not pull.

Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

2014 Corvette Stingray meets Tesla Model S in drag strip showdown

Wed, Jan 29 2014

They come from two different worlds and have little in common. The Tesla Model S P85 is the sportiest version of this paradigm-punching sedan from California, while the 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51 is a performance-enhanced version of Michigan's recently-updated sports car stalwart. The West Coast car seats five adults and eats electrons like Popeye eats spinach, the Easterner has two passenger places and, surprisingly, sips gasoline like one might bourbon. An attribute they do happen to share is extreme quickness. This similarity is all the excuse Drag Times needed to set the vehicles beside each other at the Palm Beach International Raceway for a bit of mano-a-mano quarter-mile combat. Fortunately enough, cameras were rolling for each of two bouts down the blacktop and the results recorded for our edification and enlightenment. The winner? We won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it's really, really close. How close? Scroll below and watch the video for yourself. Just be warned, the results may surprise you. Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Seeing the Detroit Auto Show via drone

Sun, Jan 18 2015

Seeing the Chevrolet display at the Detroit Auto Show is worth doing this year, and not just because of the new Corvette Z06, Volt and Bolt concept. In order to attract the new kids, The Bowtie has gone what the old kids used to call "buck wild" with their show stand at Cobo Hall. A Corvette Z06, Trax, and Colorado are parked along a central aisle, called Mainstreet, at the end of which is a 20-foot-tall, 73-foot long transparent screen lording over the new Volt. Elsewhere are five more 20-foot-tall screens broadcasting nine stories today's Chevrolet wants to tell about its vehicles, from performance to belief in the power of play to its 4G LTE-equipped OnStar telematics service. Then there are the social media and virtual reality safety installations, the community presentations and more. Chevrolet flew a drone through the stand to show off what it's doing, which is has replaced eye-level video as the next best thing to being there. You can check it out in the video above.
