So here is our 1946 Chevrolet Truck. It has 8 lugs so guessing it is a 3/4 ton. We got this just before moving to Sandy Oregon. We parked it at our new house before the owners had even left. They were great in letting us do so. This was July of last year. Before we came across the 1941 Chevy truck we have listed in another ad. I really could not make up my mind, and that is the truth, of which one to keep. Then another really cute 1954 Willy's truck came up a few weeks after the 1941 was found. I became attached to the 54 Willy's truck. I had the title for the 46 and found out that the owners listed on the old title (1976) were known in the community of Culver. We were allowed to keep that title for souvenir purposes, after DMV was done with it.  They pioneered the Three Rivers Recreational Area in Oregon. A neat video/story.  Look up energy now - Taking Charge: Living Off- Grid .. . Was going to keep.

But here it is. Being offered up just as the 1941 is. This 46 Chevy does have rust. Mostly surface rust. A few areas show more. The inside cab by the wiper motor.  Cab is nice, cab corners are excellent, both doors work proper with the door handles. Bottom of the doors look great, no rust holes. Seat is torn up from critters, but is usable. All glass is good except a crack on drivers side front windshield. Windshield does not go out with the crank. Transmission shifts easy. The clutch pedal still functions. Gas pedal depresses and returns. Brake pedal just there. Motor is NOT original to the truck. These are the numbers on the block: 0345932 F54ZJ. It turns by hand, not froze.  Rear fenders have seen better days, dents, rips, some metal missing. Look at pictures. Decent running boards and bed.  Don't have the keys for this truck. But you can get it keyed for little money. Tires have held air since we got it.  If I can think of anything else, I will update. Ask us questions, we will answer to the best of our knowledge. Look at the pics. We have a current Oregon title in our names. And the title mentioned for souvenir.

This is being sold as-is without any warranty of any kind. No Returns.  What is described is to our visual limited knowledge as we are not certified mechanics. Just the home mechanic, doing projects we like and have to teach ourselves about. Shipping or picking the truck up is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Must be paid in full through pay pal within 3 days of auction end before the truck leaves our property, no exceptions. A non-refundable deposit of 500.00 must be paid within 24 hours of auction end.

Please don't bid if you don't have the funds to cover it, it only makes sense. Thank You and happy bidding!

Veyron and C7 Corvette join cast of Transformers 4

Wed, 29 May 2013

Like the Fast & Furious franchise, the Michael Bay-directed series of Transformers movies has become known as much for its bad acting as its impressive lineup of cars. As filming just started for Transformers 4, Bay's website has confirmed two new cars for the next installment as well as a makeover for everyone's favorite tractor trailer hero, Optimus Prime.
Joining the cast of T4 are a "race-inspired" Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. While Bay's website did not supply names for either car, Bugatti is reporting on its Facebook page that the Veyron will join the Autobots. Speaking of the good guys, top Autobot Optimus Prime is getting an all-new body based on a Western Star with a gaudy appearance that was seemingly inspired by Trick My Truck - right down to the six smoke stacks and side pipes!

GM, Pilot will build EVgo fast chargers at 500 truck stops across U.S.

Thu, Jul 14 2022

All of our maps showing electric vehicle charging stations across the U.S. are going to need an update. Today, General Motors, Pilot and EVgo announced plans to work together on a nationwide DC fast charging network. The plan calls for 2,000 charging stalls that can deliver up to 350 kW to be installed at up to 500 Pilot and Flying J travel centers in the U.S. The goal is to have DC fast chargers available in 50-mile intervals across the country. The new charging stations will feature GM's "Ultium Charge 360" branding and "Pilot Flying J" logos but will not be limited to drivers of GM EVs. The plugs will use CCS connectors and be available to anyone. GM EV owners can take advantage of benefits, including the ability to make exclusive reservations, get discounts on charging costs and streamline the charging process with Plug and Charge and in-vehicle apps that can provide real-time charger availability. The first installation phase will take place in 2023, and "the bulk of the installations" should be completed by 2025, EVgo CEO Kathy Zoi said during a conference call with reporters announcing the plan. "We're gonna get going immediately and commence all of that engineering and planning stuff," she said. "We've got a pretty orderly plan." Pilot CEO Shameek Konar said the company expects the new EV charging stations to coexist with the current fuel infrastructure. "An average Pilot Flying J location is about 10 acres," Konar said. "This will be in addition to all of our gas pumps. The way I think about it is, this is a new source of energy that is going to coexist with gas for quite some time. We can debate how long, but we need to serve both groups of customers." Installing DC fast chargers at hundreds of Pilot's travel centers — aka truck stops — means there should be food, drinks, restrooms, WiFi and even showers available while you wait for an EV to charge. Pilot recently announced its “New Horizons” plan that will invest $1 billion in upgrading Pilot travel centers with more premium amenities, including expanded seating and lounge areas. While the exact amount of time it will take to charge an EV using these new stations will vary on the EV and its current state of charge, most EVs can refill from a low state of charge to around 80 percent in 20-30 minutes on a fast charger. The new stations are future-proofed to deliver up to 350 kW, a charge rate that few EVs today can handle.

First privately owned Corvette Stingray blitzes 1/4 mile in 12.23 at 114.88 mph

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Chevrolet's latest road rocket, the Corvette Stingray, is a very quick car. If one needs further proof of that, we recommend they take a look at this video from Hennessey of what is claimed to be the first privately owned C7 Corvette to make a pass down the quarter mile. Not just any quarter mile, mind, this black C7 blitzed its way down the tuner's primary testing dragstrip. The Chevrolet ran the quarter in just 12.23 seconds at 114.88 miles per hour. That is a very quick time for a stock car.
Equipped with the Z51 package and a six-speed automatic transmission, not only does the C7 run a solid time, but it does so with little to no drama. That won't last though, as Hennessey will likely return it to its owner with far more power - we just hope they show a drag run of the completed product. Take a look below to watch the C7's 12.23-second run on video.
