Thank you for looking at this 1941 Chevy Truck. This would be a great father son hotrod project. Or bring it back to original. This is a really solid truck for its age. As you can see it is very complete. I was told it came from the factory as a flatbed. It last ran 4 years ago, and ran VERY good. But the plug wires need to be put back on the distributor. And the fuel probably need to be replaced. The brake went out so I replace them along with some of the brake lines. I also found drums that still need installed. It does have some rust but all easy fix. Look at pictures for more detail. I had a stroke and lost interest in rodding it. It will go to the highest bidder. I can deliver it anywhere in Washington State for a fee. Thanks for looking. You can email me. And PLEASE ask question before bidding. The mileage shows 37997. But I do not know if that is true. Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Chevy Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo concept blends the past and the future
Wed, 19 Nov 2014The Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo is the rare concept car that salutes a seminal moment in history, yet also borders on science fiction.
Revealed Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the concept uses the name of one of Chevy's historic racing partnerships, with Chaparral Racing, which dates to the 1960s. Chaparrals raced successfully at a range of levels, including IndyCar, Trans-Am and SCCA competition.
But the history ends there, as the concept's main purpose is as a racecar in a downloadable update for the PlayStation 3 game Gran Turismo 6.
