1941 Chevy half ton pickup. No engine or transmission but emergency brake lever is there. This truck was taken apart to build into a hot rod but that was as far as it got. I have taken pictures of most of the pieces to show the condition but I can take more if requested. The truck has one of the straightest bodies, fenders and beds I have ever seen on an unrestored truck like this. It has surface rust all over but the only rust damage is the usual place toward the bottom of the drivers door, one small area on one running board and one rear fender. Alll these are easily repairable. The only other major problem is that the top has some dents that can be repaired easily from the inside. The rest of the sheet metal is nearly perfect and the bed is unbelievable. There are no dents, no rust, no dings in the top rails and the tailgate is in excellent condition. There are no dents in the doors or fenders and even the bed floor crossmembers are not rusted out and bent up. The bed and rails are gone but they can be easily replaced. The seat are still covered with some sort of vinyl and the springs are very useable. The frame is complete and straight and all original suspension is there. Parts missing are inside door handles, gas tank, window regulators, wiper motors hood and windshield crank out mechanism. Windshield frame and hinges are there. Front bumper is in very good condition and not damaged at all. If I were to keep this truck I would be tempted to put modern running gear under it and bolt it back together and clear coat the metal, it is that nice. I can bolt the truck back together for transport if necessary but I feel it is a plus for the new owner to have it like this because it saves a lot of time taking it apart. I can hold the truck for transport for a reasonable time after it is paid for. Sold with bill of sale, NO TITLE! I REPEAT NO TITLE! Ebay makes you list something under title. I can be reached at 972-231-7393 ask for Dave if you want to ask questions or want more pictures. This truck will make somebody a great restoration, street rod or rat rod.

Body shop manager stole over $500,000 worth of government trucks and parts
Fri, Jan 27 2017The US Department of Justice announced yesterday that the manager of a collision and restoration business in Virginia admitted he helped misappropriate and sell vehicles and parts from the State Department. Specifically, he sold 12 Chevrolet Suburbans, a Hummer, and $7,500 worth of tires and wheels. He pled guilty to charges to commit theft of government property and wire fraud. He will likely see 18 to 20 months in prison, a fine of $4,000 to $40,000, and has already agreed to pay restitution of $416,020 and asset forfeiture of the same amount. According to the Department of Justice, the body shop manager, James Ratcliffe, worked with the owner of the business and a State Department official, both unnamed, to obtain the property. It started with the wheels and tires, which were delivered and sold on two occasions, one in 2011 and another in 2012. The trucks came later, and were sold throughout 2011 and 2013. Ratcliffe and the shop owner kept most of the profits, and shared some of the leftovers with the government official. In addition to the vehicles that were sold, the government official also gave Ratcliffe a pair of Suburbans for his own personal use. The Department of Justice estimated the total value of the SUVs at $96,400. In total, the group misappropriated $512,420 worth of property. Related Video:
Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
Pure Vision Design TT Camaro has 1,400 reasons to want it
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We've talked about Pure Vision Design before, a California-based company that made waves at last year's SEMA show with its Martini-liveried, Indy-car-powered Ford Mustang. That same car later starred in a Petrolicious video we showed you just a few weeks back. The company's latest creation is a menacing car it calls the Pure Vision Design TT Camaro. Based on a 1972 model, this car shares the Martini Mustang's clean styling and obsession with details.
Unlike the Mustang, which draws its power from a mid-60s Lotus-Ford Indycar engine, the "TT" in this Camaro's name implies something far more potent. The Nelson Racing Engines 427-cubic-inch V8 has been fitted with a pair of turbochargers, with a claimed output of 1,400 horsepower. That's almost 1,000 more than the Martini Mustang.
A six-speed Magnum transmission dispatches that power to the ground, while Pirelli PZero tires are tasked with (somehow) trying to grip the road. Baer brakes hide behind those HRE rims, while JRI coilovers and HyperTech springs bless the Camaro with some degree of competency in the bends.
