A recent barn find..
1940 Chevy 3/4 ton factory stake bed.
Here is the one you have been waiting to restore..
This is surprisingly complete and solid, The only rust through I see is bottom inch or so of the doors and the RH cab corner (I have a good cab corner patch I'll include).
The motor looks complete and is not stuck but I've made no attempt to get it going.
It rolls freely and seems to steer good.
The frame looks solid.
It shifts fine.
Most of the glass needs to be replaced.
There are two artillery wheels on it and I'll include one more.
The header panel above the windshield looks perfect (most are rusted).
The seat is a good fit but not the original (pretty sure I have an original frame with springs I will include).
Arrow turn signals front and rear, one cracked headlight lens, the other and both glass running light lenses are good.
NO title (add says salvage title because ebay requires I use one of there options and no title was not a choice)..Bill of sale only..getting a title is pretty easy in most states for these older vehicles.
This will need to be picked up in Northern MN 55775 or you will need to arrange transport..I do have a truck I can load it on and can offload it onto a flatbed.
Feel free to ask questions or request other pics.

Texas sues GM, saying it tricked customers into sharing driving data sold to insurers
Wed, Aug 14 2024Texas filed a lawsuit Tuesday against GM over years of alleged abuse of customers' data and trust. New car owners were presented with a "confusing and highly misleading" process that was implied to be for their safety, but "was no more than a deceptively designed sales flow" that surrendered their data for GM to sell. The suit contends that at no point was selling driving data ever even suggested as a possibility, putting GM in violation of the state's consumer protection laws. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is seeking a jury trial and at least $10,000 per offense (every GM car sold in the state since 2015) and a hefty add-on of $250,000 in cases where the victim was over 65. Texas seems to be flying high after a recent $1.4 billion settlement from Meta over other privacy concerns. This may well be a way to solve any pending budgetary issues in the Lone Star State.
Opel's version of the Chevy Bolt will confuse people at Paris Motor Show
Fri, Aug 26 2016Two things are now official. First, Opel will reveal the Ampera-e, or the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt, at the Paris Motor Show in October. Second, General Motors has outdone itself in brand confusion, topping the Bolt/Volt ridiculousness. Opel isn't giving a single-charge range for the Ampera-e but the company is promising a "significantly longer range" than other electric vehicles. The Bolt is estimated to have a 200-mile range on the EPA scale, so whatever the Opel achieves on the European cycle will be done with the same batteries and motor as the Chevy. Opel is also looking to appeal to the auto enthusiasts with other factoids, which are basically just Bolt stats translated into metric. For instance, the Ampera-e will be able to go 0 to 50 kilometers per hour (which is 31 miles per hour to us Americans, but we're talking Europe here) in just 3.2 seconds. And for those looking to stay connected, as many as seven mobile devices can attached to the car's wireless hot spot. GM said in February that the European of the Bolt would be available across the pond next year, so the most recent bit of news isn't shocking. Still, General Motors continues to create confusion between all-electric Bolt and the extended-range plug-in Volt. It's already been reported that the Korean symbol and pronunciation of what is "B" in English is identical to the English "V," meaning that there is no difference between "Bolt" and "Volt" in that country (though there are no plans to sell the Bolt in South Korea as of yet). Now, in Europe, they're taking the name they used to use for the European of the Volt — Ampera — and merely adding an "-e" at the end of it. For those looking to be less confused, take a look at Opel's press release here.
