1926 Chevrolet 1 Ton Truck "unrestored, 8,800 Original Miles " on 2040-cars
San Juan Capistrano, California, United States
1926 Chevrolet, 1 ton, Series X:
This is a stunning example of a 1926 Chevrolet 1 Ton Truck in the true form in which it came from the factory, and has been preserved in its original condition over the past 88 years. The exterior wood, wheels and fenders, hardware, nuts and bolts have been untouched and retain their original patina which has aged the truck gracefully. The tires have been replaced sometime throughout its life. All the glass is period correct, but unable to verify its orginality. The original vinyl roof looks to have been replaced at one time with original type "cobra" grain material. The interior also retains all of the original wood, steering wheel, all gauges, pedals, windshield wiper, gas tank under seat and tilt windshield. The seat has been reupholstered with leather but maintains its original spring base. Equipped with the original 171 cu in, 4 cylinder engine, with only 8,800 original miles showing on the working odometer and floor mounted three speed manual transmission. The motor has replaced plugs, wires, hoses, fuel lines, fuel filter and water pump replaced, along with a carburetor and fuel vacuum pump rebuild. Maintenance of all fluids, oils and greases seem to have always been checked thoroughly. The undercarraige has also been preserved consistent with the rest of the truck. When I purchased the truck it retained all of its original cloth wiring, but I chose to rewire the entire truck with the original colored coded cloth wiring for safety reasons. The truck starts, runs and drives, but at this point has been maintained merely as a piece of history. I do have the (2) sliding doors, one is intact and the other is disassembled. Will take a little work to get them back in order, but all the pieces seem to be there and they have the same patina.
This rare 1926 Chevrolet 1 ton is by far one of the oldest and most original "vehicles" a person will ever find and is sure to make a statement in any museum or personal collection. I have enjoyed the truck in my collection for several years and the time has come to pass it on to the next caretaker, as did my predecessors.
Seller reserves the right to end the auction early as the truck for sale locally.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have and I will get back to you as soon as time allows.

GM natural gas-powered vans recalled due to possible leak
Wed, Sep 24 2014General Motors is recalling almost 3,200 of its compressed-natural-gas powered utility vans because of possible leaks. GM and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released a notice last week saying that 3,196 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana CNG vans are on recall, though no accidents have been reported due to the possible issue. The recall is specifically for vans for model years ranging from 2011 to 2014. The recall stems from a potential leak from the compressed natural gas high-pressure regulator, and such a leak could cause a fire or explosion. GM will replace the vehicles' high-pressure regulator in order to fix the problem, will do it free of charge and is instructing owners to contact Chevrolet or GMC customer service to arrange for the parts replacement. Utility vehicle makers like General Motors have pushed for fleet sales of CNG-powered vans and trucks for the past few years and have touted them for their cheaper refueling costs relative to standard gasoline, not to mention the fact that natural gas can be readily sourced from throughout North America (thanks, fracking). According to CNGPrices.com, compressed natural gas sells for about $2.22 a gallon, on average, while the AAA is pegging the average price of gas at $3.34 a gallon. NHTSA has posted information on the recall here. Featured Gallery News Source: NHTSA via Reuters Green Chevrolet GM GMC Natural Gas Vehicles CNG gmc savana
Top 11 Lego Technic cars to buy on Amazon in 2024
Mon, Jan 22 2024Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. I recently got a birthday wish list from my 11-year-old nephew, and I couldn't help but smile when I saw “Lego Technic Cars” at the top. Lego isnÂ’t a phase, itÂ’s a lifestyle. Once a Lego fan, always a Lego fan. In fact, IÂ’d be willing to bet that many of you reading this right now have some kind of Lego vehicle in a box somewhere, or better yet, on display in your home. While theyÂ’re not necessarily cheap, getting into building Lego Technic vehicles doesnÂ’t have to bankrupt you, either, unless you go for the $400 Lamborghini right off the bat. Here are 11 of our favorite Lego Technic vehicles on Amazon, right now, ranging from an affordable $35 all the way up to $450. LEGO Technic Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Ages 9+ (544 Pieces) - $39.99 (20% off) One of my first and favorite model cars growing up was a first-gen Ford Mustang GT350, so this GT500 for under $40 is right up my alley. At 544 pieces and made for ages 9 and up, the GT500 is a considerable step up from Grave Digger but a great starter to a Technic collection nonetheless. It isnÂ’t the most accurate-looking vehicle in this list, but the AR app and the fact that it can drive make it a worthwhile purchase. $39.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Formula E Porsche 99X Electric Ages 9+ (422 Pieces) - $49.99 Not a Ford fan? Not a problem. This Formula E Porsche 99X is the same price and better looking than the GT500. Even though there are 122 fewer pieces in this Porsche set, it has a level of detail seen in much more expensive Technic sets including numerous decals and a pull back motor. $49.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Jeep Wrangler Ages 9+ (665 Pieces) - $54.99 This is the set I ended up going with for my nephew, not because I think it is the coolest, but because for the price, I think you get the most bang for your buck. 665 pieces is over 50% more than the comparatively priced Porsche 99X and it also scratches the nostalgia itch for me: The first-ever model vehicle I built was a yellow Jeep Wrangler Sahara. This Wrangler Rubicon has definitely had some aftermarket mods like the front winch, which makes it one of the coolest Technic sets under $60. $54.99 at Amazon LEGO Technic Monster Jam Grave Digger Ages 7+ (212 Pieces) - $34.16 If ever there was a gateway Lego Technic, this Grave Digger is it.
