Listed s few weeks ago and the buyer from Russia had importing issues so it is back on. Photos in field are how the car is now. It has been sitting for a few years. It is a great car and just needs to be finished. The water pump (Edelbrock Victor Jr) has a seized bearing, other wise the motor runs and the car is drivable. The motor is a 350 w/ passenger side dipstick. It has an edelbrock intake manifold, holley carb, web cam, and unknown brand headers. Transmission is a 350 with a shift kit. The four-link is custom made and triangulated without pan hard bar. It has all high strength FK rod ends and threaded DOM tubing. Shock mounts are welded into the body but need a few more welds to seal it up. Inlcuded is a Vintage air monster cooler A/C unit of which all bracket are installed in car. The interior is fully custom made from sheet metal. The console is a work of art. The digital gauges are wired and work great. They are blue in color. To finish it door panels and a few things on the dash need to be fabricated. Other than that upholstery and a paint job and the car would be done. Also included is a pile of spare parts for the car including: extra rear window, all accessories for the A/C system, bezels, chrome trim for the windows, new weatherstripping, various bezels, etc. The window on the drivers side was rolled down because the door poppers were not installed but come with the car. The windows are manual crank. The front seats come with the car which are power lexus sc400 seats but no backseat is included. The seats do need re-upholstered. The vintage air system is a complete package from the manufacturer with compressor, evaporator, condenser, hoses, mounting brackets, control panel, etc. The front inner fenders are included and are stock but they have been smoothed (all holes welded closed) so they look great. The rear end is a 10 bolt and I cannot remember the ratio but I want to say it was around 3.14 with no posi at this point. No problem on all the questions as I want to see it find a good home. The exhaust is 3" with 40 series flowmasters which make the car loud when you step on it and sounds great. Please let me know if you have questions. Buyer to arrange all shipping. Car is located in tow truck accessible location and will need to be trucked out. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vs. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in latest Head 2 Head
Fri, Jan 30 2015"Olympian" is one of the terms we use to signify the greatest height, the seat of the gods. Yet Mt. Olympus is the second-highest peak in the Balkans ranges, overshadowed by the crest at Musala in Bulgaria's Rila mountains. Both great heights, but one is a little higher. That's how we get the Olympian Chevy Camaro ZL1 pitched at the Musalic Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in Motor Trend's latest episode of Head 2 Head. The side-by-side spec sheet is filled with farcical numbers. For the ZL1, that's a 6.2-liter V8 with 580 horsepower, 556 pound-feet of torque, a 4,051-pound curb weight, 0-to-60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds, a quarter-mile time of 12.2 seconds and a base price of just $57,800. Opposing that, the Hellcat wrings out its 6.2-liter V8 for 707 hp, 650 lb-ft of torque, weighs 4,449 pounds, does the quarter in 11.7 seconds and has a base price of just $60,990. Except in the case of the Hellcat, when Motor Trend put it on the dyno the machine spit out a reading of 672 hp and 606 lb-ft at the wheels. If there's a 10-percent driveline loss through those beefed-up internals and heavy-duty eight-speed transmission, that means the Hellcat is actually rated at about 750 horsepower and 700 lb-ft. But once they get put on a closed-off strip of coast road in Northern California, there are only a few strands of hair between their respective performances. That's not the case for they sensations provide; host Jonny Lieberman calls one of them, "One of the most incredible cars ever made," and says, "It changes everything." Watch the video above to see who got the verdict and how. Related Video:
2015 Chevy Volt gets larger battery, though range remains the same
Sat, Jul 19 2014The Chevrolet Volt isn't changing much for the 2015 model year. According to specifications uncovered by Inside EVs, though, the new Volt's battery does have a slightly larger capacity. According to the spec sheet, this doesn't translate to increased range. Real world driving, though, might tell a different story. The 2015 Volt's battery storage is slightly higher than the outgoing model's, up from 16.5 kilowatt-hours to 17.1 kWh. According to GM's manager of electrification technology communications, Kevin Kelly, speaking to Green Car Reports, the increased capacity is "a late change done in the cell... just another continuous improvement to surprise and delight our customers." The stated electric range, however, stays at 38 miles. Inside EVs followed up on its original report, and found that drivers could see some advantage to the battery tweak. When they spoke to Kelly, he told them, "As a result of this change, we would expect that some customers may see a slight improvement in overall EV range." It's worth noting that when battery capacity increased from 16 kWh to 16.5 kWh for the 2013 Volt, electric range increased by three miles to the current 38, while MPGe went from 94 to 98. The price of the 2015 Chevrolet Volt remains steady, at $34,995. The actual cost to the customer is considerably less with the $7,500 federal tax credit, as well as any local incentives.
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall
Wed, 13 Mar 2013
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
