Up for sale is a 1962 Chevy Nova II that someone has started to make it a full out drag car. There are no floor pans, firewall, trunk floor, or dash in the vehicle. The car is on a tube frame with a 4 link rear and a narrowed sure grip/posi   8 3/4 in. Chrysler/Dodge rear end told the gears are 4:10 but I have not been into it to know. There are tubs in the  rear of the  car. The frame only goes as far as the firewall area ( no subframe). The previous owner was going to put a mustang II subframe in and never did. All the glass in the car is good and the body is pretty solid at least what is left of it.The only real rust concern is in the lower quarters and its still not much. The hood has a scoop hole in it and the drivers side fender is not very good around the headlight brow. The previous owner started this and never was able to finish, I aquired  this  and have too many other projects so this baby has got to go . This would make an awesome project or even be great for parts. The VIN plate is still in tact and can get a title for the car but never got around it but currently has no title so where the listing says title it only lists as rebuilt because you have to put something in the title space again currently has no title. Im sure there is something I am forgetting to list so if you have any questions please be sure to ask them before bidding because there are no guarantees or warranties with this vehicle and I am listing this exactly as the car sits therefore it is AS-IS Where Is.

On Nov-11-13 at 17:01:45 PST, seller added the following information:

I apologize for the listing error the rear end is not 4 link but it is a ladder bar suspension was thinking about the wrong car when put that there. Sorry for the misprint.

Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.

Is Buick's surprise Detroit concept a Camaro-sized coupe?

Sun, Jan 10 2016

Tomorrow night marks the unofficial start of the 2016 Detroit Auto Show. Keep your eyes peeled for a number of reveals, including a surprise debut from Buick. Yes, Buick. And we think it's going to be something really hot. According to a report from Bloomberg, the Tri-Shield's secret car could be a Camaro-sized sport coupe concept. As Bloomberg explains, it'd certainly gel with the impression the company is trying to put out – that it's no longer a brand for those with one foot in the grave. Introducing a sports coupe, even as a concept, could certainly reinforce that message. And if it happens to make production – which is not a certainty, Bloomberg's secret source says – it could certainly help Buick drive its average buyer age down from 59. Bloomberg doesn't offer any speculation on Buick's new coupe, but we have no problem making educated guesses. Our most reliable conjecture is this: it will ride on General Motors' Alpha platform, which underpins both the Camaro and the Cadillac ATS. And with a certain twin-turbocharged V6 in the GM stable, we've got an idea of what kind of engine could be shown. That speculation will have to suffice for now. But don't worry, we'll have official details, live images, and video tomorrow when Buick unveils its new concept in Detroit's Eastern Market.

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.
