Purchased as a hobby a year ago, put hundreds of hours and more money than I want to know, so here is the rundown. 73 Nova ,built to SS, 350 sb 4bbl holly, TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, 3:42 gears, power steering, power slotted drilled rotors disc brakes front, drum rear, Jegs Aluminum radiator with electric fan, serpentine belt system, HEI distributor, high temp plug wires,  full tube headers, KYB monotube shocks all around, 1 1/4" front sway bar, new leaf springs a year ago, steel cowl induction hood, posi traction 10 bolt rear end. Inside has electric leather bucket seats, installed a factory shifter and console, rear bench seat is 100%, new dash pad, custom instrument cluster with Autometer phantom gauges, factory GM seatbelts, A/C car original  but has been removed. Recent vinyl top replacement, paint is fresh, installed stripes myself, a decent job. Sitting on Magnum 500 chrome rims with brand new BF Goodrich radial T/As, Bumpers are in decent shape with no dents. This car is no show car but is a weekend driver that is a boatload of fun to drive. Drove this car on a 750 mile road trip in 3 days. Also just purchased a front Air Dam I will be installing next weekend. Also has full size spare on Magnum 500 wheel and jack.

The bad- changed oil with synthetic last month, and now has a oil leek, not bad but over the week there is a spot on the garage, not enuf that I have to add in the last 2000 miles. Typical light rust around hatchback and windshield frame, but not bad. just want to disclose. over all a great looking and running Nova.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Opel's version of the Chevy Bolt will confuse people at Paris Motor Show

Fri, Aug 26 2016

Two things are now official. First, Opel will reveal the Ampera-e, or the European version of the Chevrolet Bolt, at the Paris Motor Show in October. Second, General Motors has outdone itself in brand confusion, topping the Bolt/Volt ridiculousness. Opel isn't giving a single-charge range for the Ampera-e but the company is promising a "significantly longer range" than other electric vehicles. The Bolt is estimated to have a 200-mile range on the EPA scale, so whatever the Opel achieves on the European cycle will be done with the same batteries and motor as the Chevy. Opel is also looking to appeal to the auto enthusiasts with other factoids, which are basically just Bolt stats translated into metric. For instance, the Ampera-e will be able to go 0 to 50 kilometers per hour (which is 31 miles per hour to us Americans, but we're talking Europe here) in just 3.2 seconds. And for those looking to stay connected, as many as seven mobile devices can attached to the car's wireless hot spot. GM said in February that the European of the Bolt would be available across the pond next year, so the most recent bit of news isn't shocking. Still, General Motors continues to create confusion between all-electric Bolt and the extended-range plug-in Volt. It's already been reported that the Korean symbol and pronunciation of what is "B" in English is identical to the English "V," meaning that there is no difference between "Bolt" and "Volt" in that country (though there are no plans to sell the Bolt in South Korea as of yet). Now, in Europe, they're taking the name they used to use for the European of the Volt — Ampera — and merely adding an "-e" at the end of it. For those looking to be less confused, take a look at Opel's press release here.
