1972 Chevrolet Nova Chevy Project Driver Hot Rod Racer Cruiser 4-speed Nr Muncie on 2040-cars
El Paso, Texas, United States
Up for your consideration is a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. This is a NO RESERVE auction, so last bidder wins this amazing car. This is a running car with lots of goodies and appeal, zero to little rust, just look at the pictures (the trunk says it all). This is a west-coast built/west-Texas kept car in very nice condition. Lots has been done to this car. I got this car from a respected local mechanic/hot rodder and I was going to give this car to one of my sons for high school, but this is too much car for such a young person (no airbags). Clear title. Car is loaded with lots of goodies, as I’ve said, to include: 400 small block Chevrolet (this engine has been bored over so the displacement is over 400 in3, but advertising as 400 in3 for clarity) Muncie M20 transmission (might be an M21, don’t recall) 4-speed Manual Transmission (clutch pedal functions well) Chrome alternator MSD 6AL box, MSD coil, and MSD distributor GREAT-sounding cam and lopey idle (lots of power) Mini-Starter Traction bars Aluminum racing rims (Weld Racing-style) and Mickey Thompson front tires and BFG rear tires with excellent thread/life Tachometer Flowmaster dual exhaust Nice driver-quality yellow paint Demon Carburetor w/ yellow metal stack and aluminum scoop (hood cut out) Traction Bars Line lock (needs to be connected again, but works) Aluminum Intake Headers Cutaway Hood Good bumpers Nice Stance Deep Throaty Sound Good glass (missing some stainless trim on the rear), but all glass is good. Windows roll up and down easily. Has a sound system, which honestly, I don't know too much about (but it's all there). Nice dash, aftermarket steering wheel (old school) Disc-brake front 8.25 rear end with highway gearing; easy upgrade to something better.
Again, this is a no-reserve auction, so the highest bidder wins this beauty. I can deliver free within 50 miles of 79938; $2 per loaded mile after that for a total mileage not to exceed 300 miles. Please, if you're a bidder with a feedback less than 20 or so, please contact me first before bidding. This car is a steal and will go to a lucky winning bidder. If you can't swing the delivery options above and you live beyond 300 miles, you're solely responsible for freight and carrier arrangements. I can make myself available to help your freight forwarders/carrier specialists, but all freight costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Good luck. Really, it's way too bad my son didn't want this car.
Notes: this car is missing a few stainless pieces around the rear window (also th efront BUT they're inside the car), both fender-corner grill trim, and the two interior door panels (rear ones are there). The carpet is missing, but the seats are upholstered black. Floors in excellent shape. The headliner structure is there (support structure), but no headliner.

2015 Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition is ready to do that outdoorsy thing
Fri, Feb 13 2015Bikes, skis, kayaks... the Chevrolet Colorado GearOn is ready to accommodate all of them, thanks to a trip to the Bowtie's accessories catalog. The special edition Colorado features the basics of Chevy's GearOn accessories, including a bars package, bed divider and tie-down rings, which can be supplemented with other accessories to haul all manner of outdoor equipment. Beyond that, though, Chevy has fitted a few other items to lift up the Colorado's styling, including gloss-black 18-inch wheels, black Bowtie emblems, a body-color grille, off-road assist steps and front foglights. It's a tidy little update to the compact truck's still-fresh styling. Check it out in our full gallery of live images, direct from the Chicago Auto Show. Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website.
