Hello and thanks for looking at my pride and joy. My 1970 Chevrolet Nova. I have owned her for quite some time now and really hate to get rid of it but I think it's time she goes to a good home, also being close to NYC doesn't really give me the chance to treat her like I want to. It is a 1970 painted British racing green, 3 coats of glassurrite green followed by a pristine clear coat were added as per my request during the rotisserie build, it has a beautiful amazing shine that turns every head within immediate distance towards the car. I kept most of the car original, had drum brakes all around, easy conversion if you have the time and no-how. A new exhaust system was installed with the pipes dumped. The interior was redone completely in matching green color. The car has a 350 SBC / paired with a TH350 Tranny & Hurst shifter. When I received the car I rebuilt the rear with a new ring and pinion it is a 373 gear ten bolt non-posi, again everything in this car remained original down to the radiator. The car does leak a little tranny fluid after a long day of cruising, most of the instruments do not work including speedo and Left turn signal, this car has manual drum brakes all around. The engine was rebuilt by NO LIMIT PERFORMANCE Keyport, NJ I have all receipts totaling over $6000. The car sits on cragars staggered 15/8 & 15/7 wrapped in Indy 500 tires. I put most of the SS badging on car however though I have a SS steering wheel THIS IS NOT A REAL SS NOVA.. I recently got rid of my Holly 4 barrel and put in a Edelbrock for more street use. the carb works fine but could use an adjustment if your handy. For the most part many when they see the car think it's a show car, however I bought it to use as a daily driver, unfortunately time and space do not allow me to use her, and I don't want a garage queen. Keep in mine this car is over 40 years old so creature comforts such as AC and Radio are not here, only music coming from the car is loud V8. Please no (0) feedback people allowed I will just delete it. The car is located in Yonkers N.Y arrangements can be made to see vehicle no joy rides though I am sorry. The car is being listed here locally and I have the right to end auction early. A 500 non-refundable deposit due when auction ends 24hrs*, I can ship anywhere however only through insured reputable carriers.
Again as a disclaimer the car is sold as is, no warranty implied. True mileage on car unknown due to engine rebuild. Car comes with transferrable NYS registration.

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit
Mon, 20 Jun 2011Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.
Consumer Reports no longer recommends Honda Civic
Mon, Oct 24 2016Consumer Reports annual Car Reliability Survey is out, and yes, there are some big surprises. First and foremost? The venerable publication no longer recommends the Honda Civic. In fact, aside from the walking-dead CR-Z and limited-release Clarity fuel-cell car, the Civic is the only Honda to miss out on CR's prestigious nod. At the opposite end there's a surprise as well – Toyota and Lexus remain the most reliable brands on the market, but Buick cracked the top three. That's up from seventh last year, and the first time for an American brand to stand on the Consumer Reports podium. Mazda's entire lineup earned Recommended checks as well. Consumer Reports dinged the Civic for its "infuriating" touch-screen radio, lack of driver lumbar adjustability, the limited selection of cars on dealer lots fitted with Honda's popular Sensing system, and the company's decision to offer LaneWatch instead of a full-tilt blind-spot monitoring system. Its score? A lowly 58. The Civic isn't the only surprise drop from CR's Recommended ranks. The Audi A3, Ford F-150, Subaru WRX/STI, and Volkswagen Jetta, GTI, and Passat all lost the Consumer Reports' checkmark. On the flipside, a number of popular vehicles graduated to the Recommended ranks, including the BMW X5, Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, and Cruze, Hyundai Santa Fe, Porsche Macan, and Tesla Model S. Perhaps the biggest surprise is the hilariously recall-prone Ford Escape getting a Recommended check – considering the popularity of Ford's small crossover, this is likely a coup for the brand, as it puts the Escape on a level playing field with the Recommended Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue. While Ford is probably happy to see CR promote the Escape, the list wasn't as kind for every brand. For example, of the entire Fiat Chrysler Automobiles catalog, the ancient Chrysler 300 was the only car to score a check – there wasn't a single Dodge, Fiat, Jeep, Maserati, or Ram on the list. That hurts. FCA isn't alone at the low end, either. GMC, Jaguar Land Rover, Mini, and Mitsubishi don't have a vehicle on CR's list between them, while brands like Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Nissan, Lincoln, Infiniti, and Cadillac only have a few models each. GM isn't liable for punitive damages in ignition switch cases
Wed, Nov 20 2019NEW YORK — A federal appeals court said General Motors is not liable for punitive damages over accidents that occurred after its 2009 bankruptcy and involved vehicles it produced earlier, including vehicles with faulty ignition switches. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan said on Tuesday that the automaker did not agree to contractually assume liability for punitive damages as part of its federally-backed Chapter 11 reorganization. GM filed for bankruptcy in June 2009, and its best assets were transferred to a new Detroit-based company with the same name. The other assets and many liabilities stayed with "Old GM," which is also known as Motors Liquidation Co. Tuesday's 3-0 decision may help GM reduce its ultimate exposure in nationwide litigation over defective ignition switches in several Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn models. It is also a defeat for drivers involved in post-bankruptcy accidents, including those who collided with older GM vehicles driven by others, as well as their law firms. The ignition switch defect could cause engine stalls and keep airbags from deploying, and has been linked to 124 deaths. A lawyer for the drivers and their law firms did not immediately respond to requests for comment. GM had no comment. Circuit Judge Dennis Jacobs said GM's agreement to acquire assets "free and clear" of most liabilities excused it from punitive damages claims for Old GM's conduct. He also noted that the judge who oversaw the bankruptcy concluded that the new company could not be liable for claims that the "deeply insolvent" Old GM would never have paid. The decision upheld a May 2018 ruling by U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman in Manhattan, who oversees the ignition switch litigation. Drivers have sought a variety of damages in that litigation, including for declining resale values. GM has recalled more than 2.6 million vehicles since 2014 over ignition switch problems. It has also paid more than $2.6 billion in related penalties and settlements, including $900 million to settle a U.S. Department of Justice criminal case.
