1969 Chevy Nova - Project Car almost done. Car has all new sheet metal, underneath was stripped and painted, Professionally painted with Custom Metallic Blue Paint, has a Mark Williams Dana 60 Racing Rear end, 3.90 Gear, has a beefed up 400 trans, 2800 stall speed converter, has 454 converted to a roller cam set up, 40 over, 4 bolt main block, 268 advanced duration, duration is 280, lift is .515/.520, Hooker competition headers ceramic coated with 3" exhaust, Aluminum radiator, electric fan. Has a 4 point roll cage, car has been chassied, mini tub on rear, ladder bar suspension with aluminum coil over suspension. Inside of car has new headliner installed, has a complete new interior which needs to be installed. Has Wilwood 4 wheel disc brakes... Too much to mention here - e-mail for details. Car Starts and runs. 95% of the work is done and 99% of parts are being sold with the car including complete new interior.

What needs to be done to finish the car: Quarter trim has to be installed, seats have to be recovered (covers from Classic Industries are being sold with the car to do this as well as new foam cushion inserts for the bucket seats) (has front bucket seats and rear bench seat), carpet - Note that everything previously mentioned has brand new parts to complete and will be sold with the car. Some minor wiring.

Next-gen Chevy Volt gets Corvette looks, adjustable regen levels

The hood may say "full speed ahead." The regenerative braking system says "slow down a bit." One person's automotive improvements is another's identity crisis, all in a day's work analyzing the new Chevrolet Volt. The next-generation version of General Motors' first extended-range plug in will include design touches taken from to the new Chevrolet Corvette, GM's iconic sports car. Hexagonal taillights and a "taut" hood will be part of the new package, Automotive News says, citing General Motors design chief Ed Wilbur. But does that mean the Volt is shedding any of its green-car cred? Not at all, if one considers that the Volt will also let the driver adjust the degree of regenerative braking using steering-wheel paddles to dial up and recapture as much energy as possible and engage in "one-pedal" driving or turn it down for easier coasting. Check out the 55-second video below featuring GM executives Mark Reuss and Andrew Farah trying out the Volt's new regenerative-braking system that was first used on the Cadillac ELR. GM will have more details for us when it unveils the 2016 Chevy Volt at the North American Auto Show in Detroit next month. The new version is said to have a larger battery, a longer all-electric driving range and more power, but Chevy's been fairly mum on those sorts of performance details so far. With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Corvette Stingray Shooting Brake under consideration by Callaway [w/poll]

Callaway has released a few renderings of a design study for a shooting brake version of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. The company says it wants to create a long-roof version of America's sports car to offer buyers more interior room and a vehicle with "unique style." The company says it will use structural carbon fiber for the new body bits, which suggests the conversion shouldn't add too much more weight to the Corvette. Along with a few mechanical tweaks, the Callaway Corvette Stingray AeroWagon could breeze past the 200 miles per hour barrier.
Provided that they get enough interest, Callaway estimates they will be able to effect the changes on the Chevrolet for around $15,000, and says the conversion work should be available through its network of dealers.
