1969 Chevy Nova - GREAT condition!! Over $65,000 invested in the car. I also have an appraisal before some of the work was done on it (brakes, etc) showing the price is well below what the car is appraised at.

Here are some details, I'm sure I will be forgetting something:

Body is in great shape! The only areas in question are around the rear wheels. The paint is not perfect when you get up close to them, but from 10 feet you can't even see anything wrong. Everything else is near flawless!

Items listed as "new" below all have no more than 4,500 miles on them and are no more than 3 years old.

468 Big Block Chevy, dyno produced 406 hp at the rear wheels
Edelbrock Intake
Comp Cam - specs available
New Quick Fuel 750 carb
New 100 amp Alternator
New Electric Holley Fuel Pump
Rebuilt Super T10 4 speed (within the last 3 years / 4,500 miles)
Hurst Shifter
New 3" Stainless Exhaust
New Electric Cutouts for exhaust
Hooker Headers - 2 1/4" primaries
Flowmaster Mufflers
12 bolt rear end with New 4:10 posi unit
New Strange Axles
New 4 wheel Willwood power disc brakes - Hydroboost power unit
New Power Steering
New American Racing Wheels - 18" rear, 17" front
New Nitto tires - NT555 - 295 rear and 255 front
New MSD ignition (6AL with two step rev limiter)
New Door locks
Rebuilt Front end (less than 2,000 miles on it)
New Fuel Cell in the trunk (20 gallon)
New Battery Master Disconnect Switch in Trunk
New Hurst Roll Control Unit
New Guages in Custom Dash (guages are Sun and Autometer)
New Steering Column and Wheel
New Subframe Connectors
New Hood Louvers installed (4 stack design from a 68 Camaro - installed after pictures were taken)
New Hood Pins with Lanyards

Car starts every time and runs VERY strong. It is loud, fast, and a ton of fun to drive. There are no leaks.
Car has not been abused or mistreated...never run on the strip.

I have a brand new, in the box, fuel tank with straps that will go with the car.

As I said, I am sure I am forgetting something.

Meet the mother-daughter team that's worked on almost every Chevy Volt

Sun, May 11 2014

It's Mother's Day, and we're soft enough we love our mothers enough to share a new video from General Motors with you. In it, we meet Monique Watson (left) and Evetta Osbourne, a mother-daughter team that works at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly where GM makes the Chevy Volt (along with all of GM's other plug-in hybrids: the Opel Ampera, Holden Volt and Cadillac ELR). The two work side-by-side and have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on almost all of those vehicles - nearly 80,000 of them - since GM started making the pre-production Volts in 2009. In a prepared statement, Watson said that she likes working next to her mom, day in and day out, and they the two are totally in sync when it comes to putting the 400-pound, 16.5-kWh packs into the vehicle undersides. They two can also share stories throughout the day, and Watson said, "The arrangement has absolutely improved our relationship." Osborne started working at Detroit-Hamtramck in 1999, Watson since 2006. If you're driving a Volt today, you probably have them to thank for doing a bit of the work putting your car together. See a short video of them in action below. It's Always Mother's Day for Detroit-Hamtramck Duo Mother, daughter install lithium-ion battery pack in nearly all GM electric vehicles 2014-05-08 DETROIT – For Detroit resident Evetta Osborne, every day is Mother's Day. That's because she literally works side by side with her daughter, Monique Watson, at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant. They have installed the lithium-ion battery pack on nearly every Chevrolet Volt, Opel Ampera, Holden Volt, and Cadillac ELR since production began. In fact, apart from vacation days and an occasional sick day, the mother-daughter duo has installed almost every battery pack since the Volt was in pre-production in 2009. The ELR launched earlier this year. All told – including Ampera – that's more than 80,000 electric vehicles. "We're a good team and our relationship is secondary when it comes to performing our jobs – but it's great to work alongside my daughter, said Osborne, a mother of five. Because the battery packs weigh more than 400 pounds each, automatic guided vehicles – robotic carts that use sensors to follow a path through the plant – deliver them just as the vehicle body structures glide into position overhead. The carts then lift the T-shaped packs, and Osborne and Watson guide them into the chassis and secure each one with 24 fasteners.

Very first Chevy Camaro found and restored

Thu, Feb 26 2015

Restoring an important classic car can lead people down rabbit hole upon rabbit hole of discovered history in a process that's essentially automotive genealogy. Take the recent rejuvenation of the very first Chevrolet Camaro as an example. The owners started with a strong hunch that the vehicle might be something special and spent years researching to figure it all out before the mechanical work even began. Fisher Body kicked off work on the first Camaro on May 17, 1966, and it was delivered to General Motors just a few days later for final assembly. While the model has earned a place as an American performance icon since then, the original was built more to develop the production process and boasted just a 230-cubic-inch (3.8-liter) inline six and 3-speed transmission. After spending its first few months appearing in promotions, a Chevy dealer in Oklahoma got the gold car in December of '66. It was touted on the sales floor there for years, and the first private owner didn't come until 1969. This short documentary goes into astonishingly comprehensive detail about every bit of the first Camaro's history. If you just want to hear the story of the latest owners and their work to get the vehicle restored since 2010, skip about 11 minutes into the video. Or, of course, you could just enjoy the whole thing. News Source: PilotCarRegistry via YouTube, Camaro NewsTip: Chris P.
