Chevy Nova “1969 Yenko Replica or Tribute” Blue 383 Stroker 4 speed Comp Cam Full MSD Ignition Weiand intake New Black Bench seat Lowered 18” American Racing Gray Spokes New Nitto Radials This is a heck of a lot of car for the money! Car built By Jeff Peters who one the Year One Cup See link below for Jeff's Year One Nova hotrod.com/featuredvehicles/113_0311_chevrolet_nova/ Engine built R&D Performance in Denver, CO Hear and watch it here youtube.com/watch?v=g6AaL-7bYYo&feature=youtu.be Was also used in a photo shoot for a cult toy company (see pic) 383 stroker engine Power front disc brakes Ceramic coated headers Steel cowl hood 2.5” exhausts w/ Flowmaster Mufflers This car is built to look like a true 1969 Yenko Nova. New interior – Seat covers, seat foam, carpet, sill plates, rear package tray, comfortgrip steering wheel, radio, floor mats, etc… A LOT OF CAR in the ~ under $30k range!!! Look what Musclecar calendar had to say about the Yenko Nova: “As were the early Yenko Camaro's, the Nova’s were simply cars taken off of the Yenko lot in Canonsburg and modified by the Yenko race shop. Most, if not all, were SS 396 / 375hp 4-speed cars with very few options. The Nova's came equipped with the basics, such as bench seat, vinyl floor mats, but did sport a factory 4:10 posi rear end. It is believed that less than 40 of these cars were built, with only 8 documented cars known to exist today. It is easy to tell any of the Yenko’s produced in 1969, as they all could be identified by their distinctive side stripes, hood decals, Yenko badges and special chrome 427 emblems. It is thought that only one car was delivered with the stripe delete on the order, that disputed 1968 COPO car. Yenko did not attach serial plates on 1969 and later cars. Well, of course at this price this car is not a REAL Yenko Nova, but it is a very nice Replica, Reproduction, or Tribute car with some very nice modifications. This is what it is: 1969 Nova Body – Built to look like a 69 Yenko externally 4 speed New Hurst Competition Plus 4 speed shifter 3.08 rear end gears Ceramic coated headers New cadium coated brake booster Dual exhausts with Flowmaster mufflers and X pipe Flowmaster 2 Chamber mufflers Aluminum valve covers March cranks, fan, and alternator pulleys Steel cowl induction hood Weiand aluminum intake 7546 New 600 Holley carburetor Griffin aluminum radiator Power front disc brakes Bench seat Comfortgrip steering wheel Correct Yenko badging and stripes Just a note: Yenko Novas could have come with any/all/none of the following options: Yenko side stripes, Yenko hood stripes, Yenko emblem(s), "Torque Thrust" style wheels, Dixco hood tach, after market gauges. This car is using the 1969 Yenko styled decals and logos. When you first look at this car, you think WOW, is that a real Yenko?.… then you start looking a litle harder and closer and see…BIG tubed headers, big exhaust, sitting low….then if you hear it run, you go OH Sh- - !!! What the heck, that is a BAD BOY!!!! What the crap is that? Well… Here is some more detail for you: EXTERIOR: Original window moldings, most of the other trim is new including emblems, bumpers, steel cowl induction hood. PAINT: The paint is PPG paint w/ BlackYenko tape stripes. The car has been professionally color sanded and buffed. It has been touched up in a few places. BODY: All of the metal appears to be original except the left rear quarter has been professionally replaced. The hood is a steel cowl induction hood. ENGINE: 383 stroker 4 bolt main Chevy smallblock, painted blue, nice hydraulic cam by Trick Flow, .480/.490 lift INTERIOR: Original style bench seat just recovered. SOUND SYSTEM: Very nice in dash CD player. TIRES and WHEELS: 18 x 7 and 18 x 8 American Racing CL205’s – Gray spokes with polished lips with New Nitto directional radial tires SUSPENSION: New front Hotchkis drop springs used to lower front ~2 inches. Rear multi leaf springs. DRIVETRAIN: Rear end with 3.08 gears; 4 speed transmission. EXHAUST: 2.5” pipes, Nascar style X pipe, Flowmaster mufflers with aluminized dual exhausts and 2.5” tailpipes. The paint and body are nice, but I would NOT say perfect by any means. The car is a nice Cruise In car, NOT a 1000 point show car! All lights work, shifts great, and drives like new. Please ask questions as I have most likely left something out. This car is not flawless. To coin a phrase I heard last week, “Are you looking at the rose in the vase or the dust on the breakfast table?” Is it perfect, no, is it nice YES!!! Condition This is what I would call a very nice local show car, or even a great weekend cruiser. This Chevy will win you trophies at the local shows and cruise ins, but I do not think it will win the Bowtie Nationals. It is nicely detailed, but do not expect a perfect “concourse” trailer queen. The car does show very well and if it does not sell here you may be able to come see it in the upcoming Inaugural Collector Car Auction on July 19th and 20th In Denver, CO. The car was restored a couple of years ago by Jeff Peters who won the 2002 Year One Cup, There are small paint chips (normal wear and tear) and it has been driven some and can use minor details being addressed. There are 3-4 small paint issues, but nothing major. The overall paint is very, very nice. Again, this is more of a Cruiser/Muscle Car than it is a Show car! Look at my feedback, whenever I sell something on Ebay I try to be as detailed as I can giving you a factual description to the best of my knowledge. Vehicle has roughly 4,600 miles since being rebuilt and even less on the engine. The car is believed to have around 160,000 total. I do not think you will be able to find a Collector type car in the under $30k range that will equal the quality and appearance of this car. Please note - once reserve is met and someone is serious, I usually sell to them because a "bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", so if you are serious about trying to bid to buy this car, you need to go ahead and bid, don’t wait around to see what happens, because you just might miss it. Next thing you know it will still be on your watch list with auction ended and will be in someone else's garage. The car has a clear title. Terms of Sale An initial $2,000 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end, balance to be paid in full within 3 days of auction end. Funds to clear bank prior to vehicle pick up. Any certified checks will have to fully clear all banks prior to new owner taking possession. Seller warrants to Buyer it has good and marketable title to said property, full authority to sell and transfer said property, and that said property is sold free of all liens, encumbrances, liabilities and adverse claims of every nature and description whatsoever. Seller has no knowledge of any hidden defects in and to the Vehicle, and believes to the best of the Seller's knowledge that the Vehicle being sold is in good operating condition. Said Vehicle is sold in "as is" condition and where presently located with no guarantees, no guarantees to authenticity, no buy backs, or no recourse. Buyer to pay all taxes, fees and transportation costs. ****Please understand you are bidding TO BUY, your ARE NOT bidding on the opportunity to be the first looker. If you end up winning the auction provided the reserve is met, you ARE expected to pay for the car AS IS, where is, NO EXCEPTIONS!!! ****This is an EBAY auction and will be expected to be fully executed provided the reserve is met. Please do any and ALL your diligence PRIOR to bidding. If you want to come see it PRIOR to the auction end, please do so and I would encourage you to do that if possible. If you need your spouse or “significant others” approval prior to purchasing, please get that prior to bidding. Thanks for looking and best of luck and have FUN bidding to BUY! I added a buy it now price and if you hit the Buy It Now button, the CAR IS YOURS and you will be expected to make full payment ASAP within 48 hours!!! If you made it this far, thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoy looking at the car! Also, if you made it this far, whether you are going to bid or not I hope you enjoy the pictures and the detailed description of the Yenko Nova so called “recreation” as the term is used.

Nissan sells 3,117 Leaf EVs in May, climbs over 3,000 for first time ever
Tue, Jun 3 2014Chalk up a big win for the Nissan Leaf. In May, the world's most popular electric vehicle sold a record 3,117 units, the first time any pure electric vehicle has sold over 3,000 units in a month in the US (unless Tesla managed that feat but rolled the number into a quarterly report). This marks the 15th month in a row of record Leaf sales and the seventh where the Leaf was the top EV seller in the US. The challenge bar is set for someone to step up to compete with this all-electric wunderkind. Chevrolet did sell over 3,000 Volts once, in August 2013. The Leaf's one long-standing competitor, of a sort, is the Chevy Volt, which used to regularly outsell the Leaf but moved only 1,684 units in May. That's still an increase of 4.8 percent over 2013 but is part of a 4.5 percent decline in year-to-date Volt sales for 2014 compared to last year. The last time the Volt outsold the Leaf was October 2013. Chevrolet did sell over 3,000 Volts once, when it moved 3,351 in August 2013. Let's take another look at those 3,117 Leafs sold last month. They represent a 45.8 percent increase over May 2013, when 2,138 Leaf EVs were sold, so someone is doing something right in Japan and Tennessee. So far, Leaf sales in the US are up 36.4 percent year-to-date, to 10,389 EVs. That's just under half of the 2013 total, and it was accomplished in five months. In 2013, Nissan sold a total of 22,610 Leafs. Anyone want to hazard a guess where the total will be at the end of the year? As always, we'll have our detailed monthly sales write-up including other plug-in vehicles as well as hybrids and diesel car, up soon. For now, though, the big news is big Leaf sales. Read Nissan's press release below. Nissan Group reports May 2014 U.S. sales May 2014 May 2013 % Change Nissan Group Total sales (units) 135,934 114,457 +18.8 Nissan Division May sales 125,558 106,558 +17.8 Infiniti May sales* 10,376 7,899 +31.4 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nissan Group today announced total U.S. sales for May 2014 of 135,934 units, an increase of 18.8 percent over the prior year and a May record. Nissan highlights: Nissan Division set a May record at 125,558 sales in the month, an increase of 17.8 percent. This marks a monthly record for Nissan division in 14 of the last 15 months. May was the best-ever month for Nissan LEAF with 3,117 sales, an increase of 45.8 percent over the prior year. In May, LEAF passed 50,000 total U.S. sales since launch, further establishing it as the leader among electric vehicles.
Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
MotorWeek's 80's GM muscle coupe roundup includes Regal GN and Monte Carlo SS
Thu, Jan 29 2015Even with just four brands in the family, General Motors still represents a performance powerhouse. Between the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, Camaro Z/28, Cadillac CTS-V and ATS-V, The General can still deliver plenty of thrills. The 1980s, though, saw the brand go even crazier with performance. While the Camaro and Corvette were still around back in the day, GM had a number of other interesting performance offerings. The Bowtie was complemented by the long-deceased Monte Carlo SS, while the now-defunct Pontiac and Oldsmobile offered the Grand Prix and thumping 442, respectively. And Buick, which isn't short on performance with its Regal GS and Verano Turbo, offered a much more serious vehicle, in the form of the Grand National (not to mention the Darth Vader-spec GNX). MotorWeek, in its hugely entertaining retro flashbacks, looks back on these three long-lost GM performance icons, and it's just as good as you might expect.
