This 69 Nova has been a very fun part of my life but its now time for it to be sold. I have decided to move on to another project and I am out of room, so this car has to go. It's "not" a real Super Sport Nova It just has the emblems. It started life as a 6 cylinder power glide car plain jane. The car's body is very low mileage. When I had the title put in my name, the state of ohio required a vehicle inspection and since the car has aftermarket gauges and didn't show original mileage, now the title show's odometer discrepancy. NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF!!!!!!!! Its a nice car, it has original floor boards, original trunk pan, original doors, It had the quarters and fenders replaced, It has Detroit Speed mini tub kit installed, professional installation. Very nice! looks like stock inner wheel wells. It has a Monsterous Merlin BIG BLOCK 540 and it is the meanest street car that I know of in my area. It's 850+ horsepower and the car hooks up surprisingly well on the street with the current Mickey Thompson drag radials. It will put a smile on your face every time you drive it!!!!! Here's a list of goodies on the car..... Engine 540 Merlin -(Engine is 5 years old and was only driven 3-4 times per year) 540 Merlin pro-mod block, billet mains, 4340 rotating assembly, very nice cloyes timing set with easy access billet timing cover, Fluidamper, Jegs deep oil pan, Melling racing oil pump, Top notch machine work and balancing. The rear tires are 295/55/15 Mickey Thomson drag radials on 10 inch weld wheels. Front wheels are 6 inch weld wheels. This car could easily have a protouring look with just a simple wheel change. GM 6.2L V8 claims most powerful light-duty truck engine title
Thu, 12 Sep 2013General Motors has officially captured the horsepower crown for mainstream pickup trucks with its 6.2-liter V8. The big mill, available in both the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra, comes to market with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, handily outdoing its two cross-town competitors, Ram (5.7-liter V8, 395 ponies and 407 lb-ft) and Ford (6.2-liter V8, 411 hp and 434 lb-ft).
The new GM 6.2 will take a bit of an investment, though. Those that want the extra thrust will need to go with either the LTZ or High Country trims from the Chevy, or the SLT and Denali trims from GMC, which are the two highest trim levels for the respective vehicles. Trim levels aside, if you're in the business of towing, GM has you covered. Optioned with the 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering Package, owners will be able to pull 12,000 pounds, a hugely impressive figure.
We still aren't certain as to what sort of economy the new engine will get, but it'll probably be a bad bet for the fuel conscious. As for availability, expect to see the 6.2-liter trucks in showrooms later in the fall.
Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia
Sun, 03 Feb 2013It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Fri, 25 Jan 2013The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin.
