This was the same owner for 16 Years DD Demuthe out of California, he had it restored , engine all redone, stripped and painted. He was driving it to the Reno shows and weekend cruising before parking it. I bought it some while back when I was on a big Nova and Chevy II kick and then they got too expensive to buy. I parked in my heated garage and its been covered and in the way ever since. The car runs and drives good, has a great running engine although I am certain that you will have to clean the carb , fresh gas and change the filter as it has been sitting undriven for a long while ( last year). The interior is showing some date and wear,I buffed out the roof and brought the paint back and it looks good but really it should get what it deserves, it should be done right and the body basically need to be blocked , sanded and re premered if you are going to do a partial restoration. There is no in between , you either drive it and enjoy it as you go like it is or do it right the first day you have it ...The car is in driver quality condition and has a great foundation without having to do much to it as it sits. I will take good pictures for all, I took the wheels off and put them on my '63 and it just has decent tires with black steels on it now . I think whoever buys the car will take it in the direction that brings it to the level it deserves. Ask me pretty much anything ....I hate to see it go but I never took it further than it is but always knew this car could really be something . If for any reason this is the last car from my collection that doesnt sell then it will not bother me much, I would like to sneak one off to myself.
I will be posting the last of my collection brought over from AZ ....stay tuned.
Boise Idaho - Ontario Oregon ............
I reserve the right to sell outside of the auction as I have to get going and get my collection sold off asap.
.Selling as is ... and where is and need it gone, I sold my place and have to move , the car can be picked up over in Oregon  or in Idaho (Right on the border of Idaho and Oregon) ....just so you know there is no tax over in Oregon. I will put in some fresh gas and charge the battery and check the oil if you decide to ship it , either way I will help out. I have to get moved so please bid to win, ask questions and please bid if you have the funds in hand and can pay within 3 days. Selling at NO RESERVE , clear title in my name. ...UPDATE (forgot) WE ARE NO LONGER IN ARIZONA , VEHICLE TO BE PICKED UP IN BOISE IDAHO OR IN ONTARIO OREGON ....MY PLACE IS WITHIN 23 MILES IN EITHER DIRECTION SO WE WILL HELP WITH WHATEVER YOU MIGHT NEED
NO RESERVE NO RESERVE

Camaro spy shots show subtly different grille, front fascia

Sun, 03 Feb 2013

It looks like there some changes in store for the Chevrolet Camaro - the only thing is that we just don't know what Chevy has up its sleeve. Looking at these spy shots, we'd initially be inclined to think that there is just a minor facelift or a new special edition, but upon closer inspection, there are a few oddities about this car that definitely have us intrigued.
The most obvious difference on this prototype is the slightly restyled front fascia with a smaller lower air inlet and the two-bar grille. Then we get to some of the car's mysterious details. For starters, this fascia has the SS vent above the grille, but it looks to be blocked off. Granted this could just be a one-off piece used for testing. What really piqued our interest was at the rear of the car where it has quad exhaust outlets that are used on the ZL1. Could this be the LS7-powered Camaro that we reported on back in December?
At this point, your guess is as good as ours as to what we're looking at here, so let us know in the comments what you think this could be.

Best car infotainment systems: From UConnect to MBUX, these are our favorites

Sun, Jan 7 2024

Declaring one infotainment system the best over any other is an inherently subjective matter. You can look at quantitative testing for things like input response time and various screen load times, but ask a room full of people that have tried all car infotainment systems what their favorite is, and you’re likely to get a lot of different responses. For the most part, the various infotainment systems available all share a similar purpose. They aim to help the driver get where they're going with navigation, play their favorite tunes via all sorts of media playback options and allow folks to stay connected with others via phone connectivity. Of course, most go way beyond the basics these days and offer features like streaming services, in-car performance data and much more. Unique features are aplenty when you start diving through menus, but how they go about their most important tasks vary widely. Some of our editors prefer systems that are exclusively touch-based and chock full of boundary-pushing features. Others may prefer a back-to-basics non-touch system that is navigable via a scroll wheel. You can compare it to the phone operating system wars. Just like some prefer Android phones over iPhones, we all have our own opinions for what makes up the best infotainment interface. All that said, our combined experience tells us that a number of infotainment systems are at least better than the rest. WeÂ’ve narrowed it down to five total systems in their own subcategories that stand out to us. Read on below to see our picks, and feel free to make your own arguments in the comments. Best infotainment overall: UConnect 5, various Stellantis products Ram 1500 Uconnect Infotainment System Review If thereÂ’s one infotainment system that all of us agree is excellent, itÂ’s UConnect. It has numerous qualities that make it great, but above all else, UConnect is simple and straightforward to use. Ease of operation is one of the most (if not the single most) vital parts of any infotainment system interface. If youÂ’re expected to be able to tap away on a touchscreen while driving and still pay attention to the road, a complex infotainment system is going to remove your attention from the number one task at hand: driving. UConnect uses a simple interface that puts all of your key functions in a clearly-represented row on the bottom of the screen. Tap any of them, and it instantly pulls up that menu.

Chevy Volt 'acceptable,' Nissan Leaf 'poor' in new IIHS safety tests

Thu, Jul 31 2014

Ford C-Max Hybrid also scored "acceptable" rating. With US Nissan Leaf sales up almost 30 percent during the first half of the year, the only thing that might be able to stop the battery-electric vehicle is a good, stiff barrier. Unfortunately, thing's aren't always pretty when that happens in the real world, according to new tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Things with the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in are a little bit rosier, though. The two plug-in vehicles were part of a batch of a dozen vehicles that just went through the IIHS's "small overlap" test, in which the driver's side front corner of the vehicle is crashed into a rigid barrier at 40 miles per hour. Out of the dozen, only the Mini Cooper Countryman was given a "good" rating. Five vehicles, including the Volt and the Ford C-Max Hybrid, were rated "acceptable," two were "marginal" and two, including the Leaf, were "poor." Plug-in vehicles are unique in the crash-test context because of their relatively large battery sizes. In the Volt's case, the driver had a "low risk" of injury, said the IIHS. But the Leaf's crash substantially pushed back the instrument panel and steering column, creating a scenario where the driver was "likely" to sustain leg injuries. The batteries in both the Leaf and the Volt passed safety tests specifically targeted at things like thermo and electrical properties and overall integrity. "Nissan is proud of the Leaf's 'Good' rating in all other IIHS tests, a 4-star NCAP rating from NHTSA and its IIHS Top Safety Pick rating in all previous years since the car's release," the company said in an e-mail sent to AutoblogGreen. "As for the performance of the 2014 Leaf in the 'small overlap frontal test,' Nissan will continue to review these and other results from the IIHS 'small overlap frontal test' as we seek opportunities for improvement." Check out the IIHS's press release and small car crash-test video footage below. Range of ratings: Small car ratings run the gamut in challenging small overlap front test The Mini Cooper Countryman is the only small car to earn a good rating among the latest group of 12 cars subjected to the Institute's small overlap front crash test. Two electric models and a hybrid also are in the mix, with varied results. The electric-powered Chevrolet Volt (with a gasoline engine "range extender") earns an acceptable rating, while its battery-electric rival, the Nissan Leaf, earns a poor rating.
