Introduction
Hello, I’m Marc Schiliro the owner of MS CLASSIC CARS,LLC.  You might recognize my name or my business name from beautiful classic cars and trucks I’ve listed for sale nationally.  I’ve got over 15 years of classic car and truck experience.  I’d like to put that experience to work for you. Over the years I’ve featured many classic cars and trucks at multiple different auctions across the United States. I consign multiple classic cars and trucks at all four of the Barrett Jackson auto auctions every year. I’m considered one of the top consignors at Barrett Jackson.  I’ve had many classic cars and trucks sell in the top 25 highest sale priced vehicles for each event.  They’ve also offered some of my cars as the “Marc Schiliro Collection”. I was fortunate to have Speed TV at my new facility for an interview for Barrett Jackson that aired during the Barrett Jackson auto auction in Palm Beach 2012.  I’m a regular consignor at the Mecum auctions as well.  I also have had many cars that have been featured in multiple magazines and multiple websites.  I specialize in beautiful classic cars and trucks that have what I call “The Pop Factor”. I purchase classic cars and trucks that are finished, I redesign other people’s restorations and have also coordinated restorations from start to finish.  I’m currently not doing full restorations as it takes too much time and money.  I love what I do and I’m extremely passionate about it!

Two years ago I opened a beautiful new facility located in Seekonk, MA.  MS CLASSIC CARS is open to the public on Saturdays.  We offer about 25 classic cars and trucks for sale. We also offer complete automotive detailing.  Our facility is very neat and organized.  When you call you deal directly with me. I appreciate the opportunity.  We except all trades.  If you’d like to be added to our VIP EMAIL BLAST that gets sent to thousands of people when we get a new addition please visit my website and sign up.  Please also like us on Facebook for updates.  The power of networking is amazing!

Market
I've been collecting classic cars and trucks for over fifteen years now and have seen a lot happen. I've seen the hobby continue to grow not only at the auctions but also with the amount of television shows, magazines and websites that are related to classic cars in some form or another. I strongly believe the classic car market is a great place to invest in. When the economy is strong, the classic car market is extremely strong. When the economy isn't so strong the classic car market holds its own. I've sold classic cars and trucks in both economic conditions. The reason classic cars make such a great investment is because people are crazy about cars, especially the classics! I've learned it's not just the United States; it’s the entire world. Barrett Jackson stated, "Foreigners can sometimes represent 25% of the registered bidders at one of our auctions." At the Barrett Jackson in Scottsdale, AZ 2011 they stated, "There was a registered bidder from every state in the USA.” I've also learned that no matter the gender or age, all different people appreciate this hobby. Another example would be the Barrett Jackson auto auctions; not only do millions of people watch it live on the Speed Channel but hundreds of thousands of people attend these auctions. Every year the attendance of visitors at the event and number of viewers on T.V. increase.

Over the years I've noticed that the extremely detailed classic cars have always commanded a higher price. Even people who don't have any classic car experience can recognize and appreciate attention to detail. Currently the overall market is on the raise once again. Certain classic cars are on the rise and others are on the decline. Typically, the classic cars that are on the rise are the cars that a lot of people don't own. In other words, there are classic cars that haven't saturated the market. The cars that are at every car show and auction and page on the Internet for sale are the ones that aren't changing in value or are slowly on the decline. Of course, if the car is spectacular it will command a higher price as I mentioned. It's all about supply and demand, not a good or bad economy. Custom cars have remained strong because each car is different from the next one. They each have their own character.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is”

I’m just a 38 year old blue collar guy who was working full time selling new and used Mercedes Benz.  I was selling my classic cars and trucks part time.  Although I had my used car dealers license I didn’t have a facility that was open to the public.  Overall things were going just fine.  However, my dream was to open my own classic car and truck dealership.  I decided to give up my full time job with health insurance and a 401K to open a new classic and truck dealership.  I had to invest a ton of money to make that happen and now have a lot more overhead.  Do you think I would’ve done all that if I didn’t think the classic car and truck market wasn’t going to remain strong?  I consign anywhere from three to eight cars at each Barrett Jackson auto auction at no reserve because I know there’s always going to be bidders for classic cars and trucks.

Long Description

MS CLASSICCARS is proud to present a beautiful 1967 Chevrolet Nova Custom.  AKA: Street Star.  The name came from the Billet Specialties Street Star wheels and made perfect sense because the car was built to pound the streets and Corvette Yellow Pearl paint lights shines a star!

Life for this car started as a rust free 1967 Chevy Nova II.  From what I’ve gathered this car was restored the first time many years ago as a really nice Pro Street build and was painted Yellow.  That’s when the car was tubbed, etc.  Roughly about six years ago it was re-restored to the beauty that you see today. Everything was restored once again. Thousands of dollars were invested in this restoration as indicated above in the short description.  The body was stripped to bare metal and time was spent to make sure it was very straight.  A steel cowl hood was added .  It was painted Corvette Yellow with a touch of pearl metallic. This is one of the most beautiful colors in person!  This paint job is show quality and virtually flawless.  The glass was all replaced and the stainless trim was all redone or replaced. The trim wraps tight against the glass with the car which isn’t normally the case with classic cars.  The bumpers were re-plated by well-known Art brass in Seattle, WA. A battery cut off/on switch was fabricated in the rear tail light. The car has a great stance and sits on custom made Billet Specialties Street Star wheels that are 18” on the front and 20” on the rear with Toyo tires.  The tires are 215/35ZR/18 on the front and 275/30ZR/20 on the rear.   This car is literally like a rolling piece of muscle car artwork!

The black interior was completely restored and is in beautiful condition.  The dash was painted yellow to match the exterior.  A new painless wiring kit was i nstalled.  A custom Covan Classic instrument panel was installed with Autometer gauges including a dash mounted RPM tachometer.   It also is equipped with Billet Specialties polished steering wheel and Ididit tilt steering column, B&M floor shifter with line lock setup, Simpson seat belts and black carpeted floor mats.  This car has a custom made NHRA legal cage with door swing outs that are removable. The rear seat is still functional with seat belts.  This interior is clean and simple.

The fun really starts under the hood of this beast! The engine compartment was painted a high gloss black and looks great.  The firewall is very straight and the inner fenders are very nice.  It houses the 434 Dart engine with 580 documented HP!  This engine was built by well-known Awesome engines in Selbyville, DE.  The cost of everything was over $15,000!  All of the engine build sheets and dyno sheets are included with the car.  A photo of the internal components and dynosheets of the engine are below.  Some oft he engine features include a Demon carburetor, K&N air filter, Edelbrock intake, Moroso aluminum valve covers, Dart block and heads, MSD ignition,Billet distributor, custom oil evacuation system, Pure Power lifetime oil filter system, Powermaster alternator and electric water pump, stainless fuel lines and much more.  The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with electric fan.  It breathes through Hooker Super Comp ceramic headers and custom 3” aluminized exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.  This car starts and runs excellent on pump gas.  It sounds AMAZING!

The engine is coupled with a built turbo 350 automatic transmission with line lock.  It was built for this engine and has a streetfighter torque converter.  The power is transferred to the Ford 9” rear end that was built with Currie axles and has a Yukon billet center with 3.89 gears. This car is very easy to drive and performs in all driving conditions.

The trunk compartment is clean, neat and home to the fuel cell and Optima red top battery that is enclosed in the aluminum case.  A custom battery cut on/off switch was made in the passenger exterior rear lights.   A car cover is also stored in there and included with the sale.

The undercarriage of this car is also clean, net and recently cleaned by MS CLASSICCARS.  There are many upgrades such as subframe connectors, Competition Engineering suspension components, Billet shock tower braces, new front and rear springs and four wheel disc brakes.

This is how GM is hiding new Chevy Volt in public

Wed, Oct 1 2014

General Motors is letting the public know that, well, it's not about to let the public know anything else about the next-generation Chevrolet Volt. But the automaker is willing to talk about its camouflaging process for upcoming versions of the extended-range plug-in. So it's a half-hearted secret, at best. GM actually has a "camouflage engineer" charged with creating ways to disguise the styling of new vehicles. In the Volt's case, the company is applying black and white swirly color patterns on top of the materials, such as plastics, vinyl and foam, that are used liberally across the body. It's all part of a teaser campaign that started last month with pictures of part the 2016 Volt. Earlier this month, GM said it was keeping track of Volt drivers' habits as it works on the next-gen model. The company noted that more than four out of five trips are being made in all-electric driving mode, and that 60 percent of Volt owners use a plain-old 100-volt outlet to recharge their cars. The car is slated to make its global debut at Detroit's North American International Auto Show next January, and the early word is that performance and all-electric range will be improved (we should hope so). The car will also be sleeker. By how much, we can't tell yet, because of those darn swirly patterns. GM's got more non-details in its press release below. Engineers charged with hiding styling while vehicle testing proceeds in public DETROIT – The styling of the next-generation Chevrolet Volt is one of the automotive world's best-kept secrets. Keeping customers and media eager to see the successor to the groundbreaking original at bay until the new Volt debuts at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January is tricky business. First, it is engineers, not designers, who are charged with creating camouflage that balances styling secrecy with the need to validate the Volt and its systems in public. "If it were up to me it would be a shoebox driving down the road," said Lionel Perkins, GM camouflage engineer. "The design team wants us to cover more of the vehicle and the engineering team needs to have enough of the vehicle's weight and aero exposed so that the tests in the development process are consistent with the product that will come to market." The engineers responsible for the "cool" designs covering the car might deserve style points but their efforts are intended strictly to hide the metal beneath.

GM cutting back on powertrain warranty citing lack of interest

Thu, Mar 12 2015

Generally, when a manufacturer offers a long, high-mileage warranty, it's a sign that it stands behind its products. On top of that, it's generally a selling point for consumers, who can rest easy knowing that any catastrophic failures will be picked up by the manufacturer. Considering those facts, it does seem rather strange that General Motors is slashing the mileage warranty on model year 2016 vehicles from Chevrolet and GMC. Instead of offering consumers a 100,000-mile warranty, GM will now only offer a powertrain warranty up to 60,000 miles. The five-year warranty period, though, remains unchanged. GM will also cut the number of free services being offered to Chevy and GMC owners, as well as Buick drivers, from four to two. "Through research, we have determined that when purchasing a new vehicle, included maintenance and warranty rank low on the list of reasons why consumers consider a particular brand over another," explained a memo sent to dealers by Chevrolet VP Brian Sweeney and his GMC counterpart, Duncan Aldred, and obtained by Automotive News. "As a result, we have benchmarked our competitors, reviewed our current offerings and have concluded the following modifications to align closely with our customers' needs and expectations." While the move might seem odd, Sweeney and Aldred are right – according to Automotive News, Ford, Honda and Toyota each offer a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. As for what the money saved by trimming the powertrain warranty will go towards, a GM spokesperson simply told AN that the company will "reinvest the savings we will realize into other retail programs," some of which have been requested by consumers. What are your thoughts? Would a 40,000-mile reduction in a new vehicle's powertrain really turn you off from buying one? Even if it matched its competitors? Is GM better off spending its money elsewhere? Have your say in Comments. Michael Jordan's cars showcased in 'The Last Dance' documentary

Sun, May 10 2020

After the masses begged and pleaded for an early release, ESPN finally unlocked the doors to the biggest production in company history last month. Episodes 1 and 2 of The Last Dance, a 10-part documentary special about Michael Jordan, the Chicago Bulls, and the 1997-1998 season, was released at last on April 19, 2020. Each week since, two new episodes have aired on Sunday nights, and the next two, episodes 7 and 8 are scheduled to drop this weekend on May 10. With unprecedented video access to MJ, who became averse to the media during his playing days, a byproduct from The Last Dance is a look at some of Jordan's cars. The Goat's taste ranges across a number of brands, but they all had one thing in common: performance as a top priority. Below, we have listed the rides that have already appeared in the series, and each week, we will update with new car cameos. Chevrolet Corvette C4 The photo above somewhat epitomizes one of the themes of The Last Dance. Everybody, whether that was men, women, children, franchise owners, reporters, coaches, teammates, or opponents, wanted a piece of Jordan. If that meant stopping in the middle of the road to get an autograph, then so be it. Around town, MJ was fairly easy to spot due to his flashy cars that occasionally wore Bulls red. Jordan has driven numerous Corvettes throughout the years, but the C4 is unique in that it was Chevy's top ride when Jordan signed an endorsement deal with the American company during his rookie year in 1984. Two famous photos, one in front of the Chicago skyline, show him standing next to a C4 with the license plate "Jump 23." This exact car, however, came later, as indicated by the squared-off taillights. He went on to star in a number of Chevrolet commercials with vehicles such as the Blazer and S-10 pickup truck. Chevrolet Corvette C5 The most notable Corvette His Airness ever owned was likely the C4 40th Anniversary ZR-1, but he also drove a C5 coupe at one point. Roughly nine minutes into the first episode, Jordan is seen driving the chrome-wheeled targa top into the parking lot at the Berto Center, the Bulls old practice facility.   Ferrari 550 Maranello Roughly three minutes into episode four, viewers get a glimpse of Jordan's exotic taste in the form of a red Ferrari 550 Maranello.
