1966 Chevy Nova, Factory V8, Automatic, Very Solid, Easy Restoration on 2040-cars
Northwood, New Hampshire, United States
I have a very clean 1966 Nova original V8 car from Texas shipped in last year. It is mostly complete with the factory buckets, console and trim . The car is factory V8 and I have the correct V8 oil pan and pickup. It comes with new complete disc brake setup, plus some other new parts (rubbers, gas tank) . We built a 67 Nova last year and added some extra parts with the car...... Body, floors, frame are all nice with only minor work needed. It was media blasted down in Texas and put in primer. .Any more questions call me at 603-942-6118 We are only listing this car once, we are currently building a 69 Camaro 302 4 speed and when finished this project will come in next....... Check out our other auction currently running with some rare 1966 Nova SS parts we had in inventory.....
On Apr-17-14 at 07:18:19 PDT, seller added the following information: We have the side and rear factory tinted glass and a 63-67 Nova ONLY 4 speed bell housing that will come with it in case the winner wanted to make it a 4 speed...........I also just found another box of left over parts from my 67 that will go with it...... This is one of those body's everyone wants (SOLID) for your engine and train........... Have a nice day..... On Apr-17-14 at 14:53:30 PDT, seller added the following information: I just got in a 66 Chevelle SS with a sweet running 1965 283 motor and auto train and will include it with this auction for an extra $500.00..... Thanks again...... On Apr-19-14 at 02:06:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Fair warning......... until the reserve is met this car is subject to a buyers buy-now offer or a sale here in the yard. With the limited supply of clean near rust free bodies out their this car has had very much interest.... Once the reserve has been met the auction will run. If you see the auction ended that means it got sold here from someone locally..... Thanks again... |

Next Corvette ZR1 to get 700 horsepower?
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Word has it General Motors may offer as much as 700 horsepower in the C7 Corvette ZR1. Motor Trend reports the next Corvette Z06 will continue to rely on its naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V8 engine for thrust, but the lump will deliver substantially more power. How much more? MT says the engine could deliver up to 600 ponies. That's a jump of 95 horsepower over the current Z06, though no figures have been finalized as of yet. Right now, GM is reportedly waiting to see what sort of grunt it can glean from the next ZR1.
The automaker has already made it clear it will resurrect the LT5 name for the new supercharged V8, and if GM is already pulling 600 from the Z06, the big dog ZR1 would theoretically offer 700 horsepower. Either way, the range-topping Corvette will be suitably insulated from its less potent siblings. Stay tuned. We aren't likely to see the Z06 for at least a year, with the ZR1 trailing along at some point there after.
2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied on its home turf
Tue, 23 Apr 2013The next Chevrolet Cruze isn't set to go into production for about another year, and we're just now seeing prototypes of the new compact running around here in the States. Not much more has been revealed since we saw the car blasting through the snow in Europe, but we can still clearly see new design elements like the larger grille, slimmer headlamps and redesigned taillamps.
Our spy photographers worked up a composite image of this Cruze prototype alongside the current model, and here, we can clearly see some big visual changes are in store for the new model. The 2015 Cruze's hood slopes downward more dramatically, the windshield is more heavily raked, and the roofline looks more fluid overall. The next-generation Cruze will ride on the new global Delta platform that will also underpin other General Motors vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt and Equinox.
As for what's under the hood, we expect the normal range of gasoline four-cylinder engines (both naturally aspirated and turbocharged), and the compact's new turbodiesel four should carry over, as well. Have a look at the full brace of spy photos in the gallery above.
Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
