WHAT I HAVE FOR SALE IS MY 1966 CHEVY II. I AM THE THIRD OWNER OF THIS ORIGINAL SS. EVERY PART ON THIS CARS SUSPENSION HAS BEEN REPLACED FROM THE FRONT END TO THE REAR SPRINGS. THIS IS A VERY RARE 117 VIN WHICH MEANS THAT IT WAS ORIGINALLY A FACTORY BUILD AS A "SS" WITH A 6 CYLINDER. IT NOW HAS A MILD CAM 350 CID IN IT. NOT REALLY SURE ABOUT THE HORSEPOWER BUT I AM THINKING RIGHT AROUND 300 TO 350. CUSTOM BILLET SPARK PLUG WIRE RAILS, CHROME AIR CLEANER, MICKEY THOMPSON VALVE COVERS, NEW HIGH TORQUE STARTER, 3 CORE ALUMINUM RADIATOR, SEPARATE TRANS COOLER AND ROLLER ROCKERS. TRANNY IS A TH350 WITH A MILD SHIFT KIT. REAR END IS POSI TRAC WITH 3.80 GEARS, TRACTION BARS AND AIR SHOCKS. THE INTERIOR IS GREAT WITH NO STAINS OR TEARS IN THE CARPET OR SEATS. ORIGINAL SS CONSOLE, FISHER BODY SILL PLATES, VERY RARE WORKING DASH CLUSTER CLOCK. KNEE BREAKER TACH AND BOWTIE FLOORMATS. THE TRUNK HAS CUSTOM MOLDED CARPET, SPARE TIRE AND JACK. NEW GAS TANK WITH STAINLESS STRAPS AND VIBRATION DAMPNERS. BUMPERS HAVE THE BUMPER GUARDS ON THEM.
ENTIRE BRAKING SYSTEM HAS BEEN REPLACED. ALL WHEEL CYLINDERS, SHOES, DRUMS, WHEEL BEARINGS, SEALS AND MASTER CYLINDER.
COOPER TIRES WITH LESS THAN 400 MILES ON THEM.
THE WINDOWS ATE TINTED BUT CAN BE EASILY REMOVED IF YOU DESIRE.
THERE IS A PIONEER UNDER DASH AM/FM/CD/XM/AUX STEREO WITH A 200 AMP BOOSTER (INSTALLED IN THE TRUNK) WITH 6X9 REAR SPEAKERS AND 6 INCH ROUND FRONT SPEAKERS MOUNTED IN THE KICK PANELS.
I HAVE THE ORIGINAL KICK PANELS, STEERING WHEEL AND RADIATOR THAT WILL GO WITH THE SALE. THE RADIATOR HAS A HOLE AND WILL NEED TO BE RE-CORED IF YOU WANT TO REINSTALL.
I HAVE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL & SALES RECEIPT FROM CHRISTMAS EVE 1965 PURCHASED IN KENTUCKY.
NOW THE BAD: THERE IS A CHIP ON THE PASSENGERS FRONT FENDER APPROXIMATELY THE DIAMETER OF A PEA. THE DRIVERS SIDE HEADLIGHT BAZEL IS SLIGHTLY DENTED FROM MY GARAGE DOOR CLOSING ON IT. THE ROCKER PANEL TRIM IS SCRATCHED AND HAS A FEW SCRAPES. OTHER THAT THIS, IT IS ONE SWEET CAR THAT YOU WILL NOT BE DIASPPOINTED IN. I WILL ASSIST IN ANY WAY I CAN TO ARRANGE SHIPPING IF IT IS REQUIRED.
I LIVE APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES FROM GRR AIRPORT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO FLY IN AND LOOK AT IT.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, FEEL FREE TO CALL... I DO HAVE THIS UP FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY.

Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in
Sat, 15 Jun 2013You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
