1966 Chevrolet
Chevy II Nova
Super clean, show quality car that is ready to cruise. Tough little street car that sounds like it should be on
the track. Well built, dependable and low maintenance. It's not one of those hot rods you have to tune on all the
time to keep it going.
To describe the car, I'm breaking it down into 4 areas- 1. Paint/Body, 2. Wheels/Tires, 3. Drivetrain/Suspension,
and 4. Interior.
1. Paint / Body- Arrow straight body with super slick paint. New glass with all new weatherstripping and seals
including windshield. Fiberglass cowl induction hood. New bumpers, grill and headlight bezels. Chrome and trim
all looks new.
2. Wheels/Tires - Staggered Billet Specialties aluminum wheels. 275/50/15 Nitto drag radials on the back with
165/80/15 up front.
3. Drivetrain- Built 327 V8 with 4 speed manual transmission. The entire drivetrain has around 5k miles since
built. The car is strong and sounds impressively mean. Never had it on the track or dyno but I would say it is
an easy 375 hp. The motor is a '67 block - 327 that has been built and balanced. Comp Thumper Cam, Hooker
super comp headers, Edelbrock Victor 4+4 aluminum intake, Quick Fuel built Holley carb etc. Aluminum radiator with
electric fan. Low mount high amp alternator. Battery is a red top Optima mounted in the trunk with a nice billet
aluminum holder. Starts easy and runs cool. Low maintenance hot rod you don't have to tune on all the time.
Transmission is Muncie M20 4 speed. It shifts good, goes in and out of gear fine with no problems/noises. It has
a new clutch and blow shield. I took pics of the side of the transmission for people wanting to run numbers.
Rear end is a 12 bolt posi. Not sure the ratio but feels like a 3:73 gear. It has Wilwood disc brakes up front
with factory rebuilt drums in the rear and new CPP master cylinder. New gas tank that has been cleanly notched to
clear relocated leaf springs. The leaf springs were moved in to tuck big rear tires under the car. It would be
easy to give the car a pro tour look if decide to go that route.
4. Interior- New black stock interior. SS steering wheel, bucket seats, and factory console. Two gauges -
water temp and oil pressure are tastefully mounted where the original radio would go. It does not have windshield
wipers.

Valet mode captures joyride in red Corvette
Thu, Dec 18 2014A man in California is among the first to catch a valet behaving badly in his 2015 Corvette using a controversial built-in recording feature. Dan Cowles told KTLA 5 when he bought his dream car, a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, he opted for the Performance Data Recorder. The Corvette PDR uses a high-definition camera mounted in the windshield header, a microphone in the cabin and a GPS receiver that record and track the sports car's movements and sounds. They work together to produce a video with telemetry overlay, so you can see acceleration rates, lap times and g-forces. The system can be customized to show extensive performance data, or simply video of your drive like a traditional dash cam. It also comes with Valet Mode, which locks the glove box, disables entertainment and records video. The audio recording feature ran afoul of several state's recording consent laws, but this video has no audio, indicating the fix may have been as easy as turning off the microphone. Cowles dropped off his hot red 'Vette with the valets at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, CA. When he got his car back he checked the PDR and discovered footage of the valet taking a short, but intense, joyride in the garage. In the video, the valet finds a straightaway in a tiered parking garage and pushes the car to 50 miles per hour in five seconds before quickly stopping. He then parks the car without incident. The valet then gets out of the car and takes one more admiring look at the front. The valet company has yet to commented on the video, according to Fox News, but valets everywhere should be on notice; that little red Corvette you have your eye on may have its eyes on you. Check out the official 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition commercial
Sat, 16 Mar 2013
The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
Mustang retakes monthly pony car sales crown from Camaro
Wed, Dec 3 2014Going back to their origins in the Swinging '60s, the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro have been fierce rivals for fans' hearts and dollars. Historically, the Ford often led in volume, but Chevy took the muscle car top spot in 2009 upon the Camaro's rebirth. However, with the launch of the latest Blue Oval pony car, the tide is turning back in Ford's favor. November was the first full month of sales for the new 2015 Mustang, and according to TheDetroitBureau.com, the model did spectacularly well. The Blue Oval shifted 8,728 of them, up 62 percent from same month last year, with the automaker proclaiming it the model's best November sales since 2006. Conversely, 4,385 units of the Camaro were delivered, down 13.5 percent year-over-year, meaning its sales were roughly half that of the new-generation Mustang. Ford is understandably happy with the results, and product development director Raj Nair even hinted to TDB that another version of the Mustang might be unveiled at January's North American International Auto Show. Rumor has it that the model will be the even more potent Shelby Mustang GT350R. Despite the Mustang's November success, the Camaro outsells it year to day. So far in 2014, Ford has sold 73,124 Mustangs versus 79,669 examples of the Camaro. With December offering the last chance for an overtake, the Bowtie may yet remain king for this year's sales crown. A new Camaro is peeking over the horizon, as well. It's reportedly moving to the Alpha platform used by the Cadillac ATS, and production could start in late 2015. Prototypes are already testing at the Nurburgring, and camouflaged examples have been spotted weirdly being compared to its '80s forefather.
