Up for auction is my 1965 Chevy Nova SS. This is originally a true SS six cylinder car with a 117 vin. I do not have the original engine available. It is powered by a recently rebuilt 350 small block. Odometer reads 87,500 but actual miles unknown. Other than the Edelbrock Performer intake and cam and the Holley 600, it is stock. Transmission is a 2 speed Powerglide that shifts good. Drum brakes front and rear. New interior parts include - heater core, door panels front and back, carpet, all trim for headliner, front seat covers (rear looks original with one small tear). New exterior parts - front and rear bumpers, headlight buckets and trim, Nova SS emblems in rear, door handles and locks, door sill plates (new in bags) windshield trim front and rear, 2 inch cowl induction hood, door seals, new front windshield and gasket, front V8 springs, air shocks in rear, 4 new 14" ralley wheels with trim rings and center caps, original trunk trim goes with car - needs to be restored. I have receipts for all parts replaced. Many new parts in front end and was just aligned. This car has no power steering or power brakes and drives very good. The car was painted this past May and is very solid. Floors and trunk are in great shape. Lots of fun to drive and dependable. I accept Paypal for payment and require 1000.00 deposit within 24 hours of winning bid. Full payment due at pickup of vehicle in the form of cash or bank check only - no personal checks. Buyer is responsible for delivery, no shipping. Thanks for bidding and good luck.

2014 Chevrolet SS makes its live debut
Sat, 16 Feb 2013Chevrolet showed off the new 2014 SS in an airport hangar last night, its first rear-wheel-drive performance sedan in the US since the Impala SS from 1997. We'll have more to say about the SS later today, but this is the sedan that Chevrolet sees as the final piece in restoring its performance credentials. For those of you looking for a manual transmission, however, that wish will go unfulfilled - at least for now: the only two options buyers will have are the color and whether or not they want a sunroof.
We'll work on getting some more angles (in better light) today at Daytona International Speedway, but with fans seeing the car for the first time, we don't hold out much luck of getting a clear shot. So for now, enjoy the high-res gallery above.
GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say
Fri, 05 Apr 2013The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.
