1964 Chevy II, 2 door sedan, 100 Series, 194 cu. in. 6 cylinder, automatic, power steering, power brakes - all matching numbers, with 45,005 original miles (documented)

A dependable daily driver that is in great shape for a 50 year old classic - She is a real head turner - Recent updates include all new brakes, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rebuilt power brake booster, new upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends, new water pump, new carburetor, all new engine gaskets and 4 new white wall radial tires.  Radiator was flushed, transmission strainer cleaned - all new fluids & no fluid leaks - recently tuned (points, condenser and plugs) Compression test revealed over 110 psi on each cylinder and within +/- tolerances.

Based upon her condition I believe she has been garaged for most of her life, as she is right now - I have the original owners’ manual and warranty book that came with the car in 1964 - I am the 3rd owner.  She is straight and true and as best as I can tell she has never been in a major accident  - She has new window and door gaskets, floor pans and has had some minor rust repair done over the years - There is no visible rust or rust through anywhere on the car - She was re-painted at some point in her 50 years and is still the original color that matches the factory paint code.  She drives straight down the road, shifts perfectly, stops on a dime, has plenty of power with no hesitation and has no shimmies or shakes even at 75 mph - She’s not perfect by any means but she is the great car for someone who wants a fun, dependable classic – She would be great for the first time classic car buyer or someone who doesn’t work on cars because she needs nothing done mechanically to drive her….  She does have some minor body imperfections - the passenger door has a paint blend that doesn’t quite match perfectly where a small dent was repaired and she has the usual small chips here and there found on any 50 year old daily driver. She is not a show car and is not priced like one…But...

Everything works and unlike most sellers, I can honestly state that this car is strong enough and safe enough to drive her home from Southwest Florida to anywhere here in the states.  I will gladly help the new buyer coordinate shipping by carriers or by container if shipped outside the USA (at the buyers cost of course).  The last classic car I sold was a 68 Ford Falcon that was shipped to Queensland, Australia and the new owners loved the condition of my car….

I have over $14,000 invested but you can buy her now for only $12,500 - I will consider all “Reasonable Offers” throughout this auction but offensively low bids will be automatically refused - Please understand that I am in no rush to sell her - You just don’t find daily drivers like this in such good mechanical condition - I plan to hold out for the best offer or wait to sell her locally where she is also being advertised….

NOTE: She is being sold as-is and where-is - there is no warranty or guarantee that comes with the car - The buyer must pay $500 deposit immediately via PayPal - The balance is to be paid via certified check within 3 business days -The check must clear my bank before the clear title will be signed over and the car released (approx. 5 banking days)  Please note: I will not sell to anyone in Mexico or Central America because of the scams coming from these regions…. Thanks for looking…  Gary W.

Here are all the cars GM is axing as part of its restructuring

Tue, Nov 27 2018

GM plans to kill off a couple of great and a few meh cars as part of its restructuring. Here's a rundown of all the cars being phased out of production. None of the vehicles GM axed were SUVs or crossovers. Instead, it was an action reminiscent of what Ford recently decided to do by discontinuing U.S. sales every Blue Oval sedan. GM just didn't explicitly say, "We're killing our cars," like Ford did — probably a smart move by GM. Keep scrolling down to see the full list of deceased GM models. Chevrolet Volt This one was the most surprising of all the cars GM decided to can, primarily because cars with plugs are supposed to be our future. However, maybe consumer demand just isn't quite there yet for a plug-in like the Volt. We came up with all sorts of ideas for what was to blame for the untimely demise of the Volt, so go check that out for a full breakdown of the situation. Cadillac CT6 Here's another car we'll be sad to see go. Cadillac's flagship sedan was such a joy to drive, and it served as the conduit to deliver GM's semi-autonomous Super Cruise system, which still hasn't been surpassed by any other company's technology in our books, even Tesla's Autopilot. That being said, GM does plan to produce the CT6 until March, with the last cars coming off the line set to be twin-turbo V8 V-Series models. If it's going to go, this seems like a pretty great way to make an exit. We'll be patiently awaiting the next flagship Cadillac once this one finally fades away. Chevrolet Impala The Impala is actually a pretty good car. It doesn't sell terribly, and we think it's a completely satisfactory car to drive. However, people would rather have a Traverse or Equinox these days, making the Impala one of the vehicles to find itself on this list. Chevrolet is keeping its smaller brother, the Malibu, but a big, full-size sedan just isn't what people are ordering up these days. It's unfortunate to see it go, but we won't be broken up over it. Chevrolet Cruze We wouldn't rank the Cruze at the top of the compact car class, but if you were looking for a small, cheap American car, it was either this or the Focus. The Cruze had the potential to be a true small performance car if Chevy had ever wanted to make it into one. But sadly, we're seeing it bow out before Chevy ever tried to slot a hot engine and suspension in there to make it competitive with other hot hatches. A Cruze SS would have made enthusiasts take notice.

Sunday Drive: Taking a gaze into the automotive crystal ball

Sun, Oct 22 2017

Mankind has long been fascinated by the future. So it makes sense that this past week's top stories were all about cars, trucks, and SUVs that won't be hitting the market until the 2019 model year. And right at the top of the list is the Ram 1500. We've come to know Ram as the truck maker that styles its pickups with cues cribbed from big rigs, but that look has slowly evolved over time into something uniquely its own. The next Ram 1500 continues this trend, with a newly refined look that we can't wait to see in person. Up next is the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Pickup trucks have been, continue to be, and will remain the best-selling vehicles in America. And General Motors is a leader in the field, with two distinct offerings with which to entice buyers, one from the bread-and-butter Chevrolet brand and one wearing the slightly more upscale GMC badge. The Chevy looks to get LED lighting elements for 2019, which ought to keep the truck from looking dated when compared to the Ford F-150 and the previously mentioned Ram 1500. From there we move past pickup trucks and into SUVs and sedans. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee looks to get toned down a bit with its next refresh, and the '19 BMW 3 Series continues its slow evolutionary journey at the top of its aspirational sales pedestal. Finally, spy shots give way to official production reveals for the 2019 Audi A7 and Polestar 1. This pair of European luxury cars won't compete with one another – one is a rakish hatchback and the other a sports coupe – any further than for the eyeballs of our readers, but both proved popular enough to merit inclusion in our weekly roundup. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2019 Ram 1500 spotted without the classic crosshairs 2019 Chevy Silverado spied with new LED accents 2019 Jeep Cherokee reveals a much more normal face 2019 BMW 3 Series spy shots reveal production lights, new interior details 2019 Audi A7 revealed: More torque, refined styling Polestar 1 First Look | The 600 horsepower hybrid Scandinavian Green Audi BMW Chevrolet Jeep RAM Volvo Truck Hatchback SUV Future Vehicles Hybrid Luxury Performance Sedan sunday drive polestar 1
