Motor is out of a 2001 Camaro with 4 speed 4L60 automatic transmission. The motor had 41k miles on it when I picked it up. It has a new fuel system in it. Walberg electric pump, new fuel lines and 2 filters (one in front and one in the rear) with AN set-ups. New fuel tank and sending unit. Sanderson coated headers with 2 1/2 inch custom exhaust system, single chamber Magnaflow mufflers. Heidt's front clip, front and rear disc brakes. Ford 9" rearend with 411 posi, black powdercoated. Mini tubbed in rear with Chassisworks 3link ladderbar, Viair adjustable coil over kit. Custom made drive shaft. American Racing billet wheels 18x7 and 20x10. All new interior from headliner to carpet! Seats are ProCar and the back seat was done to match. B&M prostick shifter. New gauge cluster with all Auto Meter gauges and billet panel. Chrome tilt column with billet steering wheel. Billet gas door. New bumpers, grille, headlights, taillights, turn signals. The body and paint on the car was done 2 years ago with PPG paint. Chevrolet planning low-cost Corvette under Stingray?
Wed, 27 Feb 2013If you're burnt out on musings about the Chevrolet Corvette, you'll want to go ahead and skip this post. Motor Trend reports General Motors is hard at work on a low-cost version of the seventh-generation sports car for 2015. Rumored to be called the Corvette Coupe, the car will forgo the Stingray and skip the 450-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine in favor of a 5.3-liter V8 with under 400 ponies. If you're keeping track, that's a shade of the same engine found behind the headlights of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
The report also suggests the Coupe will receive a number of aesthetic tweaks to separate it from the Stingray, including different front and rear fascias as well as new front fenders and a rear diffuser. Motor Trend says the point of all this is to cut the car's price tag, which means we may see a Corvette on showroom floors for less than $50,000 if this car comes to fruition.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes
Mon, 01 Oct 2012The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
