I am selling my 1963 Chevy II SS.  I am the 4th owner of the car and I have started to tear it down for a restoration/Hot Rod project.   The photos tell the tale.   It does NOT have the original engine or transmission.   The car is in pieces currently.   What you see is what you get.
Major needs to finish this project are, the windshield and back glass, both bumpers, the grill and the hood.   The car also has no interior besides the rear seat.
The floor plans could use some patch panels both other than that the car is solid and very straight.

It has already been converted over to the five bolt pattern.   The dash has NOT been cut and is in beautiful condition.   All of the window glass is in excellent shape with no cracks or chips.

I am including a wrecked 99 Pontiac Trans Am, 5.7 LS1 with an automatic transmission in this sale.    The LS1 needs an oil pan but otherwise it is complete with less than 75,000 miles.   It was a very strong running car.   I have started striping this car down but everything that will fit into the Nova including seats, steering column, and the electrical wiring for the engine and transmission, power windows, power seat etc... is there.

Both cars are included in this sale, but I can split them up if you do not want the TA however the reserve price is set for a sale of both cars.    Feel free to ask questions.

I don't want to sell this project, but the economy has forced deployments and deployments force sales, this car deserves to be on the road again.

Everyone wants an SS car here is your chance to have one and build it exactly how you want it.   I can arrange delivery at the buyers expense otherwise the buyer must arrange shipping.

Corvette Stingray Convertible images mysteriously appear on web, so we add our own

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

It was inevitable that we'd see the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray topless at some point, but that didn't make us any less interested when a pair of supposedly leaked official images showed up on theautoinsiderblog.com last week. We posted them on our Facebook page, but held off reporting on them here until we could get a little more information.
Those images, which feature a dark red car on a sterile black studio background, supposedly first appeared on the website of diecast model maker Maisto. A Chevrolet spokesman has been reported saying that they are "not official images released by Chevrolet PR," which isn't a denial they're the real deal, but neither is it a confirmation.
Close examination of the photos suggest they could be official shots of the Corvette Stingray Convertible, and while some have doubted their authenticity due to a lack of vents (which were seen on the C7s that debuted in Detroit last week), it could be that the images are of a base model car without the Z51 package that doesn't require the extra venting and cooling.

GM won't sell 2014 Chevrolet SS in Canada

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Allow us to be the first to extend our condolences to our friends to the north. General Motors has announced the 2014 Chevrolet SS will not be available in Canada. The Globe and Mail reports the automaker has confirmed the high-performance sedan won't hit Canadian dealers, though GM hasn't offered up any reasoning as to why that is.
Buyers here in the US of A, meanwhile, can look forward to getting their hands on the 415-horspower, rear-wheel drive SS by late summer. Something tells us it won't be long after that before Canadian officials start seeing individually imported 6.2-liter V8 four-doors in their neighborhoods. Fortunately, Canadian buyers will still be able to take home the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette. The C7 bowed at the Canadian International Auto Show last week, reportedly drawing sizable crowds and interest.

GM says hybrid Corvette no laughing matter [w/poll]

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

When Mark Reuss was in LA recently, he sat down to have a few words with the scribes at the Los Angeles Times. When the issue of a hybrid Corvette came up, Reuss answered with "Don't laugh." The General Motors president is a complete fan of the possibility, calling it "attractive" and "really fun," believing it would improve GM expertise and that "people would love it."
Naturally, the president being supportive of an idea doesn't give indication that a hybrid Corvette is on the way. However, with supercars like the Porsche 918 Spyder and Ferrari LaFerrari giving hybrid tech a solid, if remote, place in the performance car world, the inexorable trickle-down of technology means we shouldn't be surprised if and when it does happen.
And now that we have that non-negative half-answer to a speculative question, it would be irresponsible for us not to commence rumormilling for the C8 Corvette. Taking Reuss at his word, the C8 will obviously be a hybrid with all-wheel-drive - the left side wheels driven with electric motors, the right side with the mid-mounted, four-cylinder diesel engine. With coefficient of drag of just .16, figure on a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour time of under 2 seconds and an all-electric range of something like 30 miles at top speed. Don't forget, folks, you read it here first.
