Smells good, looks good, runs perfectly. This was owned by an
elderly friend of mine in San Diego. He was a very cautious man and was meticulous in caring for his car. This was garaged and covered for its entire life
there. When he passed away, I inherited the car. Since I have owned it, it has also been garaged the entire time. I also
drive very cautiously because I have a computer that tracks how I drive. In
order to save money, I have to start slow and stop slow. This all means that
the car has been driven gently for its entire life. These are the cars that
last forever, not the ones driven by some teenager with the pedal to the metal
(either gas or brake) all the time.
I have all the service records as proof that it has been taken care of properly. Besides replacing the radiator cap (a $10 fix), I have not had any issues whatsoever. Tires are good with lots of tread left. It has never been smoked in, never had kids in it, no spills, no stains, etc. The inside and outside are extremely clean and well taken care of. In full disclosure, I have included pictures of two spots on the car that are less than perfect. One is a small area on the back right corner, maybe a half-inch in length, where paint was scraped off (no dent). The other is a little divot on the inside of the passenger door. Both of these can be fixed for $100 or less if it matters to you. Other than that, it is in near perfect condition. That being said, it is 10 years old, and I'm sure there is some scuff or minor scratch that I haven't seen. I have done my best, however, to disclose any imperfections. It has plenty of power (200 hp to be exact - it is the SS version), but is decent on gas. I get 30 straight highway and 21 straight city. It has power windows/lock/mirrors, sliding sun roof, radio controls on the steering wheel, and alloy wheels. V6 3.8L engine. Everything is clean under the hood. |

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
Car and Driver 10Best list cracked by Tesla Model S, BMW 3 Series left off
Fri, Nov 21 2014Car and Driver is keeping new blood pumping into its annual 10Best cars list with three new entries making it on for 2015 and a perennial favorite falling off. Among the biggest shocks this year is that the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series are no longer named, despite years of some portion of that lineup earning a mention. In another surprise, the Tesla Model S (specifically in S 60 trim to fit under the $80,000 cost cap) makes it to the 2015 roster and is the only electrically motivated member of the group. Despite the loss of the 3 Series, BMW isn't entirely shut out this year, because the M235i gets its name on the list. Car and Driver argues that the little coupe feels like a welcome throwback to the E46 chassis M3 of the early 2000s. In addition to the Model S, the final newbie to the annual group is the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The inclusion of these new members knocks the Audi A6/A7 family and Ford Fiesta ST out from the 2014 rundown. The other seven models carry over from last year, including the Cadillac CTS, Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, Honda Accord, Mazda3, Mazda6, Porsche Boxster/Cayman and Volkswagen Golf/GTI. The 2015 10Best cars list certainly seems to have something for everyone from the hot hatch fan to the family man and even the green car driver, thanks to the addition of the Tesla. Head over to Car and Driver to read its detailed explanations for each vehicle's inclusion, but if you've got a difference of opinion or just really like the list, let us know in Comments.
