Rare 1987 Chevy Monte carlo SS aerocoupe. Complete car. Project car that needs some finishing. the trim was removed to do the bodywork, but I have it. The front bumper was removed also for priming. NO rust issues. Very solid car, 90% bodywork finished. Most of the car is in urethane primer.305 v8, needs carb finished installed, quadrajet. I was going to put a Holley on it, but I used it on something else. Needs a battery box. It has headers that need to be connected to the y pipe. The exhaust will need a new pipe, the one before the muffler. Currently it is not running and will need to be towed. The engine bay has been painted black and is very clean. The fenders have been edged with the factory maroon color. All the glass is in good shape. I have 4 SS wheels, one was painted black. The interior is red and black. It needs a headliner and the dash is cracked on the top. I have a nice one piece molded dash cover from Honest Charleys. Power locks. CLEAR VA TITLE, the car is located in Stoneville NC 27048. I can deliver, for a fee. I can also finish the bodywork and paint for you, If you are interested. Please ask any questions before bidding. GM claims it's first to sell million 30+ mpg vehicles
Fri, 04 Jan 2013As we continue to put together all the data for the year-end edition of By The Numbers, General Motors has announced that it sold more than a million vehicles in the US last year that achieved at least 30 miles per gallon on the highway. More impressively, GM managed this feat using multiple strategies including small vehicle size, turbocharged engines and hybrid or plug-in technologies across four brands (Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC) accounting for 13 separate models. This number will grow even more in 2013 thanks to cars like the all-electric Spark, the diesel Cruze, the range-extended Cadillac ELR and the Buick Encore compact CUV.
GM's small car sales were up 39 percent last year helping to attain this million-sales mark for 30-mpg models, and almost 40 percent of all GM sales consisted of cars with fuel-efficient I4 engines. In regards to more advanced means of improving fuel economy, GM says that it plans on having 500,000 vehicles with "some form of electrification" on the road by 2017.

Yeah, we saw the new Ram 1500, Chevy Silverado and Ford Ranger, but that's just scratching the surface. NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars.
