OK so im going to try to sell my 87 monte carlo on here... never sold a car on here so I will list it to the fullest extent, and note I only deal with pay pal.  I purchased this car in 09 and built a mild 355 for it and raced it, the car then ran a 13.10 at 106. then I traded it away, and purchased it back last year and re did everything. TOO much invested in the car.

the car is a 87 monte carlo LS sport. the mileage on title is exempt and when I bought it the first time the original owner told me it was about 70k. I can not verify that. the cluster says 60k title is clear not reconstructed. I converted it to the SS nose, and swapped the light harness. all lights work. only piece needed to complete the conversion is the filler plate between nose and the middle of rad support. I was planning to make a custom one but never got around to it.

The body is in good shape,it's currently primered wich some people love others hate, I personally only primered it for time being until I got it painted. the fenders are brand new, all LS moldings and rivets are gone, as well as vinyl top. only filler in the body is in the top of the corner glass at the roof, common prob for these cars. there is a small hole smaller then a dime in each quarter under the marker by the marker lights. I'm not good at body work so I didn't attempt to fix them. Car has the SS spoiler too.  every light in and on the car works.

cooling system: stock lt1 rad from 94 Camaro, dual electric fan set up from same car, dual relays , wired to thermo switch to come on at 170 and off at 160.

Engine: 385 LT1 Stroker all machine work done by Andy Jensen of Jensen's Engine technology

1994 block, .040" over, Eagle steel crank, Eagle I beam rods, Speed pro Hyperutecnic flat top pistons. plasma rings, perfect circle bearings, ARP Rod bolts, Melling HV oil pump, summit pan zinc plated, cloyes timing set, 94 lt1 heads re worked, Doug Herbert custom roller cam .525 .245, Comp roller lifters, Comp 1.6 self aligning roller rockers, Comp beehive valve springs, Manley Stainless 2", 1.56" valves, ported bowls, ARP head bolts, GMPP carb intake manifold, Holley 750 double pumper, billet hei distributor with summit racing wires, new water pump, 160 thermostat Hyper-tech,  new cs 130 alternator from a 96 s10, new alternator relocation brackets, Billet crank hub to adapt lt1 balancer to eagle crank, new corvette balancer. new sfi flex plate.

Tranny is a th350 rebuilt with 2800-3200 stall Jegs brand, polished aluminum pan, b&m shift kit, hurst pro matic 2 shifter, G force crossmember, new tranny lines and cooler.

Rear is a stock 373 posi monte rear, ss sway bar... NOTE THERE IS NO FRONT SWAY BAR

Exhaust is 2 3" flowmasters mounted right at the headers, just on the other sided of crossmember, no body exit, will need different exhaust set up to be legal. I made this just to get the car mobile until I got a new exh kit, but ended up liking the way it sounds, motor responds extremely well to this too. its loud

wheels are cragar street lites, not aluminum, steel wheels. one rear is slightly rusted but still looks good, 15x8 rear and 15x7 front, brand new 275/60/15s on the back.

jegs electric fuel pump, pre and post filters, new aluminum 3/8th fuel line from tank up.  new jegs fuel pressure gauge on carb

Interior was dark red, I changed everything over to gray, car still needs a headliner and the carpet isn't that great. should have a new carpet and headliner

OVERALL the car is great if you like G body's like I do. looks tough and runs awesome and sounds even better, with little body work, paint, and a headliner the car can be show worthy. its not easy to find these any more due to people wrecking them on the tracks. car has not been raced since the new drive train installed, but is well capable of a low 12 to high 11. pulls very hard and is reliable, runs at 160 all day and about 50 lb oil pressure warm.

also battery is mounted in trunk, new box and cable kit, 2 gauge power wire, works fine and charges at 14.5 volts

any questions, just message me I can answer anything related to this car.

ONLY reason im selling this car is I'm having a kid and don't need a project right now and can use the money towards a new car.

SORRY forgot to list the gas gauge does not work, it did about a month ago, it just stopped. sorry

Chevy Bolt 200-mile EV going into production near Detroit

Thu, Feb 12 2015

Where there's smoke, there's fire, apparently. The rumors of the Chevy Bolt going into production have been proven correct, with an announcement this morning at the Chicago Auto Show that the 200-mile, all-electric Bolt will be built at the Orion Assembly facility near Detroit. GM didn't say exactly when the Bolt will be built, but GM North America president Alan Batey said in a statement that, "We are moving quickly because of its potential to completely shake up the status quo for electric vehicles." He's not kidding. GM is talking about a $30,000 price tag for an EV that can do twice as many electric miles as any non-Tesla mass-production EV today. Previous hints have the Bolt starting production next year for a market debut in 2017, and with all of the accuracy we've seen from these secret releases up to now, we're going to say this is probably accurate until we hear otherwise. We still have questions about the price tag, but for now we'll try to track down more information here in Chicago. Chevrolet Commits to Bolt EV Production Game-changing, long-range EV to be built at Orion Assembly facility in Michigan CHICAGO – Chevrolet this morning confirmed production of its next-generation pure electric vehicle, based on the Bolt EV concept. It will be built at General Motors' Orion Assembly facility near Detroit. GM North America President Alan Batey made the announcement ahead of the Chicago Auto Show. The Bolt EV concept was introduced last month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. "The message from consumers about the Bolt EV concept was clear and unequivocal: Build it," said Batey. "We are moving quickly because of its potential to completely shake up the status quo for electric vehicles." Leveraging the industry-leading battery technology found in the Chevrolet Volt and Spark EV, the Bolt EV concept was developed as a game-changing, long-range pure electric for all 50 states, designed to offer more than a GM-estimated 200 miles of range at a target price of around $30,000. The progressively styled concept vehicle features selectable driving modes for preferred driving styles, such as daily commuting, and it was designed to support DC fast charging. "We're proud that Chevrolet has decided to produce the Bolt EV here in Michigan at the Orion Assembly facility," Gov. Rick Snyder said. "Michigan unquestionably remains the global automotive leader.

These are the five most ridiculous attacks on the Chevy Volt [w/videos]

Thu, Aug 7 2014

It's been a long, strange trip for the Chevy Volt from the time when the now-odd-looking concept version (above) was introduced at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show to today. And now, General Motors announced that the second-generation Chevy Volt will make an appearance at the 2015 Detroit show in January. This debut represents a victory for GM with what has easily become the most politicized car of the 21st Century. There are plenty of reasons for someone to criticize the Volt, but what's amazing is just how much anti-Volt energy has been spent not on things like the styling or how the EREV setup is not as efficient as a pure-EV powertrain. As we wait for more official information on the new Volt, we thought it would be fun to go back and look at some of the most wildly incorrect reporting and strangest attacks on the Volt from the archives. There is so much good stuff out there, it was hard to pare the list down, but these are our five favorites. Amazingly, they're not all clips from Fox News. Check 'em out below. 5. GM Is Going To Stop Making The Chevy Volt In The US Do you remember when GM was about to move Volt production to China? Well, yeah, this was reported back in early 2012 when a GM executive mentioned that the automaker would get benefits of building the Volt in the places where it sells them. This was spun into a story of GM taking Obama bailout money and then running to China. The Blaze was not happy: "Given the fact that Federal government helped itself to millions and millions of taxpayer dollars under the pretense that it was going to combat high unemployment by creating 'green jobs,' it would seem that moving research and development (and possibly manufacturing) overseas is slightly, well, counterproductive." Well, of course, that never happened. There's no way to say that GM will never build a version of the Volt in China, but the news we hear rumors of these days is that GM is going to move production of more Volt parts (specifically, the motors) to Michigan from overseas. 4. The Chevy Volt Is A Fire Trap There has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. Yes, there were Volts that caught on fire. Yes, that's a scary thing. But there has never been a Volt that just spontaneously lit up while driving down the road. These were crashed test vehicles with destroyed batteries and plugged-in vehicles that were not the cause.

Old Car or New Car? 1993 Chevy Camaro vs 2015 Honda CR-Z

Wed, Sep 30 2015

My daily life revolves around used cars. As a former fast-talking auto auctioneer, it was once my job to inspect, appraise, and liquidate thousands of cars throughout the United States. Since I put down my microphone and became a full-time car dealer, I have gone from auctioning off 150 vehicles an hour – yes, we really do talk that fast – to buying 150 vehicles every two to three months. I see and bid on everything from $300 Volkswagens that belch more black smoke than a diesel truck rolling coal, to $30,000 DeLoreans that hopefully can go at least 88 miles per hour. The auctions never run out of weirdness when it comes to cars because they sell over 10 million every single year. So with that big number in mind, let me tell you about these two cars that have about as much in common as Mel Gibson and Mel Brooks.Option A: 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car Edition View 24 Photos This 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Indy Pace Car has all of 4,187 miles on it. Neither of those numbers are a misprint and yes, those are multi-colored stripes on the hood. Every week, I find at least two or three museum pieces that have been stored in the private garage of an auto collector. As you can tell, there are some very broad strokes to the definition and tastes of a collector. It could be a guy who has an extreme case of what I call "Automotive Compulsive Disorder" who chucks 20 or 30 old cars into a field and lets the weather and elements have at them. I once knew a guy, a car dealer at that, who "stored" seven 1990s Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertibles in the Georgia sun, and within two years those cars turned into complete junk. The fact that he stored them in an open field he didn't actually own and near a public road didn't help either. A few of the local meth heads and kleptocrats decided to strip-mine his collection, from the radiators to the tops themselves. He had a brief time in prison in between the before and the surprise after and trust me, he looked like he had soiled his britches when he saw what happened to his personally prized Cutlasses. Then you have whoever owned this Camaro. Is it a one-of-a-kind? Nope. Just 1 of 125, and an insignificant number at that (#87). But let's open the door to this Camaro and see what we find. Oof! I don't remember this multi-colored silly string design as a '90s must-have. Wasn't this popular back in the 1980s?
