1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Ss Coupe 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Goffstown, New Hampshire, United States
I am selling my 1986 Monte Carlo. I've owned this baby for 7 years now but its time .Needless to say, I don't want it to go but I have no choice at this point. Originally owned by a friend of my from '99 - 2006 when I acquired it, It was in rough shape, did not have any seats, center console in it , door panels, no engine, no exhaust, steering column, a/c deleted and over the course of 7 years, I acquired more and more and took a car destined for the junk yard, life again. As of now it has a 350 Small Block with Edelbrock intake and Carb (Carb needs replacement), it runs good, Carb is old and just needs to get swapped. True Dual exhaust with Headers and double hump cross member for dual exhaust setup. 200r4 Transmission, new heater core, all radiator hoses and heater core hoses, drive belts , steering feels a bit sloppy as you drive. Has power windows, door locks, power trunk, original t-top bags, have extra black rims with red trim on them, look pretty good. I drive my car everyday. New Hampshire registration only. Have title but from State it was from originally.

'84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia
Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models. GM recalls Chevy Express, GMC Savana over rollaway concern
Mon, 21 Jan 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice for a small number of General Motors fullsize vans due to possible rollaway concerns. On certain 2013 Chevrolet Express and 2013 GMC Savana models, it is possible to remove the key from the ignition without the shifter being in park.
Only 980 total units are being affected by this recall, and GM is fixing the issue by replacing the ignition cylinder and associated keys. Affected Chevy vans were built during most of November and December while its GMC counterpart was only built for a week in November. The recall goes into effect on January 23, and to find out if your vehicle applies to the recall, the GM and NHTSA contact numbers can be found on the official recall notice, which is posted below.
