1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Ss on 2040-cars
Antioch, Tennessee, United States
1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, it has 15342 miles on it. No it has not
rolled over, it is a 15K mile car. It has manual windows and locks, it does
have tilt steering. I have owned the car since 2011. I replaced the original
Goodyear Eagles because I was afraid to drive it with them as they were showing
signs of dry rot. I still have the tires and they will go with the car. I
installed a new headliner because the original fell down, the new headliner had
a small hole (see pics) I caused it-oops-when I installed the new one. The
interior is outstanding; there are no cracks, tears, fading, or other issues.
The car runs great, there are no issues, it starts properly and the carburetor
kicks through it’s choke sequence as it should. The body is straight and clean.
It has a spot on the driver’s door (see pics) that looks like someone got a
little excited when they were buffing the car. It looks like to me they almost
buffed through leaving what you see in the pictures. There are two small places
on the truck lid too (see pics) neither of these takes away from the car and
you have to look to find them. The car has the typical undercoating of the day, that's what you see in the under car pics. This is one of the cleanest, unmolested, SS left
from this generation. It is completely OEM stock. Please email me any questions
you might have. I greatly encourage you to come see the car in person here in Nashville
TN, email me for an appointment to see the
car. This will be a face to face in person deal, the car will not leave my
possession until funds have been secured. I will not accept checks! I will work
with the buyer to make this a safe and secure transaction. It has a clear TN
title. Thanks for looking.
I’ve had a couple questions about the paint on this car. Yes the car has had paint work. The original owner hit a deer when the car was new, I know the front rubber nose, hood and left fender were painted. When I bought the car I didn’t like how the hood looked so I had it painted. The hood is ever so slightly a different shade; you have to look very closely to notice it. The rubber nose, which I did not paint, is a slightly lighter in color and you can see it more easily. Neither of these are obvious to the average person walking by and do not detract from the car. Obviously it would not be a A+ rated car because of this but that’s why it 12K vs. 18 or 20K. Again, it is my position that a buyer should come see the car, we’ll put it on the lift and go over it in detail.
Thanks for looking. |

Chevrolet Camaros at SEMA are a mobile accessory catalog
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chevy's goal at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas this week seems to be to show as much of its Performance and Accessories catalog as possible. That's why it brought three different Camaros - two with V8s and one powered by a V6 - with all of the best goodies from the catalog already fitted.
We gave a more in-depth recap of the Performance Camaro V8 Concept, the Performance Camaro V6 Concept and the Performance Garage Concept already, but we figured you'd like a short recap for each. It should be noted, though, that you can order all of the items you see here for your own Camaro, so be sure to take a long, hard look at our live galleries, just in case you're in the market for some mods.
Essentially, the Performance Garage Concept and the Performance V8 Concept are the same car - the only difference is that the later features a whole host of aesthetic tweaks in addition to its aftermarket, shorty exhaust headers and 2.75-inch exhaust. (The Performance Garage Concept has been usefully placed on its side; the better to see the new parts added to the vehicle.) The Performance V6 Concept is notable because, despite being a V6, there's no shortage of performance goodies fitted. All three of the Performance Camaros benefit from items from the Camaro ZL1, which can also be ordered through the catalog.
2015 Chevy Silverado gets Custom Sport package
Wed, Jan 7 2015It's been on our mind for a couple of years that the Chevrolet Silverado could really use "a sophisticated monochromatic look." It is, at long last, a reality. Harking back to the Custom Sport Trucks the company produced in the 1960s, the 2015 Custom Sport package can be had in black or white on LT and LTZ models for those in search of "a touch of elegance." That means body-colored front and rear bumpers and grille surround, a black grille, and chrome applied to the door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and 20-inch wheels. The package, which will cost between $1,950 an $2,950, also throws in projector beam headlamps, tow hooks, and heated mirrors. LT trims can be had in black or white, LTZ trims - including Z71 - offer the choice of black or White Diamond Tricoat. The press release below has more information. Don't everybody rush to the dealer at once. 2015 SILVERADO OFFERS CUSTOM SPORT PACKAGE Inspired by Chevy Custom Sport Trucks that helped launch personal-use pickups DETROIT, 07/01/15 – With the new 2015 Silverado Custom Sport special edition, Chevrolet pays homage to one of its most iconic pickups, adding a sophisticated monochromatic look to double- and crew-cab Silverados. The Custom Sport package features body-colored front and rear bumpers and a body-colored grille surround with a chrome-accented black grille. Other accents include 20-inch chrome wheels, chrome door handles and mirror caps, and chrome body-side moldings. The package also includes projector beam headlamps, tow hooks and heated power-adjusted mirrors. "The Custom Sport special edition was inspired by Chevy Custom Sport Trucks of the late 1960s," said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet Trucks marketing director. "Those CST models added a touch of elegance to a great all-around truck, just like the Custom Sport package for the new Silverado." The redesigned 1967 Chevrolet pickup entered the market at a time when trucks were starting to move off the jobsites and into the driveways of cities and suburbs. The 1967 Custom Sport Truck, with its bright trim, plush carpet and bucket seats, helped launch a wave of personal use pickups that continues today. For the 2015 Silverado, the Custom Sport package will be available as LT and LTZ models, including Z71s. LT models will be available in black or white, while LTZs will come in black or White Diamond Tricoat. Package prices will vary from $1,950 to $2,950, depending on the model. Dealers can place orders starting this month.
