 I HAVE FOR SALE AN INCREDIBLE, WELL KEPT, ORIGINAL MILEAGE, CLASIC BIG BODY MONTY CARLO.  THE CAR HAS ITS ORIGINAL 5.0 LTR V8 AND TRANSMISSION. I RECENTLY HAD ALL THE GASKETS AND SEALS REPLACED. THE CAR DOES NOT HAVE ANY LEAKS OR DRIPS. THE VALVE COVERS WERE DRIED OUT AND THE MAIN SEAL WAS SEAPING FROM A LACK OF USE, SO I HAD THEM REPLACED. THE CAR CRANKS, SHIFTS AND DRIVES AS IT SHOULD. THE A/C, HEAT, AND STEREO ALL WORK PERFECTLY. THE TIRES ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE AND I HAD THEM ROTATED RECENTLY. THE CAR HOLDS A STRAIGHT LINE ON THE HIGHWAY AND I ALSO REPLACED THE MISSING CENTER CAP ON THE RALLYE WHEEL THATS MISSING IN ONE OF THE PHOTOS. APPARENTLY SOMEONE WANTED THE OTHER ONE I HAD WORSE THAN ME ! THE BODY LINES ARE GREAT, THE BIG SWOOPING FRONT FENDERS LOOK INCREDIBLE. THE GAPS ON THE BODY LINE UP EXTREMELY WELL AND IT HAS ITS ORIGINAL PAINT WITH NO SIGNS OF HAVING ANY BODY WORK EVER. THE CAR HAS ONLY A SMALL AMOUNT OF SURFACE RUST UNDERNEATH WITH EXCELLENT FLOOR, AND TRUNK PANS. NO BODY WORK NEEDED ON THIS ONE ! THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS A COUPLE OF SMALL DINGS BY THE DOOR LOCK  YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS. I BELIEVE YOU COULD HAVE IT FIXED WITH PAINTLESS DENT REPAIR. THE INTERIOR IS ORIGINAL AND LOOKS VERY, VERY GOOD. THE ONLY IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INSIDE WOULD BE THE DASH PAD, IT IS CRACKED. AND PERHAPS THE CARPET, ITS NOT TORN BUT IT DOES SHOW  LITTLE WEAR ON IT. OTHER THAN THAT THE SEATS, HEADLINER AND ALL TRIM LOOK GREAT. THE GAUGES ALL WORK. IT IS A LANDAU COUPE, WHICH CAME WITH THE TOP AS WELL AS THE BACK GLASS THAT CAME TO A POINT IN THE REAR. ITS A GREAT CAR THAT GETS A LOT OF LOOKS AND IM SELLING IT CHEAP. I LOVE OLD CARS AND I HAVE MORE THAN I NEED LAYING AROUND THE HOUSE. GM investing $167m in Spring Hill for new midsize vehicles

General Motors has announced a large investment in its Spring Hill, Tennessee facility. The former home of Saturn production will be getting a $167 million addition to a previously announced $183 million, to cover a pair of new midsize vehicles. The investment is expected to create 1,800 jobs at the factory.
That $350 million is being divvied up for a pair of programs at Spring Hill. The first will take the bulk of the money ($223 million) and create 1,000 of the 1,800 jobs, while the other will take the remaining $127 million and generate the leftover 800 positions. But GM says the investment will cover "midsize vehicle programs." So what could they be?
The leading candidate in our minds is a new crossover for Buick, called the Anthem, that will slot between the Encore and Enclave, but will be slightly smaller than the Equinox and Terrain. As we've explained, the new model will likely be the first product to sport GM's new D2UX platform, which will eventually replace both the Delta and Theta platforms. Spring Hill is already building the Equinox, so there could be some credence to this theory.

Nissan Leaf keeps plug-in vehicle sales crown for 6th straight month

And Nissan makes it 14 in a row. For the 14th straight month, the all-electric Leaf has had "record sales," according to Nissan's marketing team. What that means is that for that particular month (in this case, April) no matter what year you look at, the car sold more than it ever did before. For April 2014, the 2,088 Leafs sold represents a 7.8-percent increase from 2013. Nissan's director of EV sales and marketing, Toby Perry, said in a statement that the "new market" of Cincinnati made the top 25 list for Leaf sales areas in April, so the car's popularity continues to ebb and flow across the US. Over at Chevy, the Volt sold 1,548 units in April, reaching a year-to-date total of 5,154. The Leaf is outpacing that with 7,272 YTD sales. In 2013, the Volt outsold the Leaf by about 500 vehicles, but Leaf sales are up 33 percent year-over-year while Volt is down 7.1 percent. The Leaf has also outsold the Volt for six straight months. DETROIT — The battle for profits from sales of large pickup trucks is intensifying among the Detroit Three automakers as sales of small cars in the United States shrivel. For decades Ford has had the single best-selling truck brand in its F-Series trucks. General Motors' Chevrolet brand was a solid No. 2, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Ram was a distant third. Now, that hierarchy may be in flux. Sales figures for December and the fourth quarter released on Thursday show Ram tied with GM's Chevy for the No. 2 spot, as sales of the redesigned Ram pickup surged, fueled in part by demand for an optional 12-inch (30.48 cm) dashboard screen. Chevy not long ago held second place to Ford by a wide margin. "It's been that way forever, and we wouldn't have it any other way." On Wall Street, investors give electric car leader Tesla a higher valuation than any of the Detroit automakers. But in the nation's heartland, big pickups remain far more popular and profitable than any electric car — and most other consumer vehicles of any kind. Large pickups generate at least $17,000 a vehicle in pretax profit for GM, the company has indicated in disclosures to investors. By contrast, many Detroit Three sedans are so unprofitable, their manufacturers have decided not to build them anymore. 'Hotly contested' Sustaining sales and pricing in the large-pickup segment will be critical in a year when most forecasters expect overall U.S. car and light truck sales to fall. Ford's U.S. sales chief, Mark LaNeve, on Thursday called the F Series "the backbone of our franchise" during a conference call, and added the "segment will continue to be strong, but hotly contested" in 2019. Automakers are banking on pickup truck sales to stay strong even if U.S. interest rates continue to rise. Rising interest rates translate into higher monthly car payments and are expected to deter some buyers in 2019. GM has said 27 percent of Chevrolet and GMC trucks — which can haul trailers by day and substitute for a luxury sedan by night — sell for more than $55,000.
