TOOK IT IN ON A TRADE AND I HAVE ONLY DRIVEN IT ABOUT 100 MILES BUT IT RAN VERY WELL. HAS A BIG BLOCK 1973 CHEVELLE 454 IN IT WITH A HOLLEY 4 BARREL, HEADERS, NEW WATER PUMP, NEW RADIATOR, NEW PLUGS, NEW HOSES AND NEW WIRES. DISC BRAKE CAR WITH A 12 BOLT POSI REAREND. FRONT AND REAR SWAY BARS. TH 400 TRANSMISSION THAT SHIFTS NICELY. I DIDNT SEE ANY DRIPS OR PUDDLES UNDERNEATH IT SO THAT IS A GOOD THING. INTERIOR HAS THE ORIGINAL GM STRATO BUCKET SEATS, CENTER CONSOLE, TILT WHEEL BUT COULD USE NEW CARPET AND A BETTER DOOR PANEL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. DASH HAS CRACKS AND NO REDIO. SOME AFTERMARKET GAGES ARE INSTALLED. NICE GLASS ALL THE WAY AROUND WITH NO CRACKS OR BREAKS. SOUTHWESTERN BODY IN NICE SHAPE BUT DOES REQUIRE SOME WORK. PAINT JOB IS A 10 FOOTER BUT THE CAR DOES APPEAR PRETTY STRAIGHT. BUMPERS HAVE DINGS BUT THEY BOTH SHINE NICE WITH NO RUST. INNER FENDERS, TRUNK AND FLOORS ARE REAL NICE. JUST A GREAT START TO A BAD ASS MUSCLE CAR. DRIVE THIS ONE WHILE YOU FINISH IT UP. 15X7 RALLY WHEELS, BLASTED AND PRIMED WITH NEW CENTER CAPS AND NICE TRIM RINGS. BRAND NEW DUAL EXHAUST INSTALLED AS WELL.

Chevy Trax engineer says GMC version possible
Mon, Dec 8 2014The Buick Encore is doing so well and its platform-mate the Chevrolet Trax has such good reviewer vibes going for it already, that a GMC version hasn't been ruled out. During the recent press launch, Automotive News asked lead engineer Al Manzor if the Trax could wear a GMC-branded suit, to which Manzor replied, "I think that is certainly possible." That's a long way from telling us anything about the probability of a GMC version of the Trax, and a legion of questions would need to be answered before it could happen. How would a GMC version be priced to leave room for the $26,465 GMC Terrain but not eat into sales of the $20,995 Trax or the $24,035 Encore? Or would that matter? Could it primarily be considered to encourage a new faction of The Yukon Set at the compact end, GMC buyers being famously committed to the marque? And of course, would there be a Denali version? It'll probably be a long while before we have any kind of answers, but if you want to see it happen, the door to your campaign of persuasion is at least ajar.
Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Corvette Stingray designer lists five goals of new exterior shape
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Redesigning an icon is a difficult task, especially when you've got a blank sheet of paper in front of you and the all-new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is intended to be your final objective.
General Motors has released a new short video featuring Kirk Bennion of the Corvette's exterior design team, talking about the challenges of sculpting Chevrolet's new flagship sports car and the five goals the team had to keep in mind as it worked. In the end, Bennion's team had the pleasure of seeing their hard work take center stage as the Corvette captured the world's eyes at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
