1964 chevy chevelle convertible. Rebuilt 355 sbc (.30 over) new edelbrock carb, new edelbrock cam and lifters, new, edelbrock air cleaner, new, alternator, new belts, new pro comp manifold, new headers, new fan, new bumbers, new head lights,  front and rear, all new interior , front and rear seats and door panels all reapolstered, new carpet, new convertible top with plastic window to be installed this weekend, new tach with water temp and oil psi gauge inside, rebuilt th350 trans with 2500 stall conv, power brakes and power steering,   Boyd Coddington turbin 18" rims. 18 x 8 in front 18 x 10 in rear. Jet black paint with clear coat. Looks amazing from a few feet away but is has some flaws up close. I would say it is a 7 out of 10. I get compliments on it all the time, this car is definitely a head turner. Floor pan was in incredible shape, no corrosion at all. one small hole, but it wasn't from corrosion it was from the parking brake cable wearing against the flood. It was welded up and a piece od patch was left into place to prevent it from wearing in again. The trunk was also in great shape, it has a few tiny pinholes. their were two small 1 inch hole that were welded in. The rebuilt motor and trans were just installed and have less than a 1000 miles on them, The actual odometer reading is about 85,000.

Car is about 90% done but could still use a little tlc. most of the trim is original, has new weather stripping in the doors and trunk, but conv top and windows could use new weather stripping. no heating or a/c. ne rear seat belts, windshield has a scratch in it from the wipers, missing hood and trunk "chevelle" emblems. No dash pad.

this is a super nice car, has a lot of power, starts easy, runs strong, and gets a lot of attention.

pink slip in hand. clear title.

will accept wire transfer, check( must be from major bank wells fargo, Citibank, us bank, etc)

2014 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra full configurators truck in

Sat, 15 Jun 2013

You can now put prices to your wildest option-sheet dreams of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. A microsite for the full-size pickup truck twins has been up since January, and now the full-blown configurator is live and ready to take your virtual orders. The only two chassis configurations available at the moment are the Crew Cab with either a short or standard bed - Regular and Double Cab versions will come later. In Silverado flavors that will run you $32,710 for the short box, $33,010 for the standard box, while the Sierra adds a $1,500 premium to both of those prices, and destination and handling for both models adds another $995.
Since these are American pickups the list of modifications is lengthy, but we added $11,450 in just two steps by starting with the Silverado Crew Cab and standard bed, then checking four-wheel drive and the LTZ Z71 package. Our final truck, resplendent in Brownstone Metallic paint, heated and cooled Cocoa/Dune perforated leather seating and tasty details like chrome recovery hooks, and engine block heater and LED cargo box lighting, rang up $57,285 at the candy store.
They'll be on dealer lots sometime this summer, so now's a good time to start practicing your box-checking.

GM warning 800,000 owners that their cars may need oil changes more frequently than they say

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

The days of changing your engine oil every 3,000 miles are long gone thanks to most cars having automatic oil monitoring systems, but about 800,000 General Motors vehicles apparently have incorrect monitoring software that is leading to premature engine component wear. According to Autoweek, certain 2010-2012 Buick LaCrosse, Regal, Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain models equipped with 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines could be going too long in between oil changes resulting in a higher-than-normal number of warranty claims for the engine's balance chain. The balance chain links the balance shaft to the crankshaft, and a worn one can produce higher noise levels.
As a fix, GM dealers will be reprogramming the software for the monitors in an effort to reduce the interval between oil changes, which varies based on driving habits and conditions. Through February 2015, the software update will be done at no cost to vehicle owners, but since this is not a recall, after that point, it will be up to the discretion of dealers as to whether or not they will charge for the service. What isn't immediately clear is whether GM plans on giving assistance to out-of-warranty customers who are experiencing engine issues from the worn chain.

Watch how Corvette Racing's new collision-avoidance radar system works

Fri, 22 Mar 2013

When it comes to technology used in racecars, we generally expect it to trickle down to production cars, not the other way around. Well, Pratt & Miller has developed a new rear-facing radar that operates in a similar fashion to what we're used to in modern blind spot detection systems, only it is also capable of tracking cars as they approach and relaying vital information to the driver via a large display screen.
The innovative radar system debuted at last weekend's 12 Hours of Sebring for Corvette Racing, and this system makes perfect sense for endurance races like this since the cars sometimes have to drive through the night and in poor weather conditions.
The radar can detect cars even with poor visibility, and uses easy-to-distinguish symbols for the driver to identify.
