This is a one owner original Florida Chevelle Malibu. This is the perfect car for restoration, it has all original sheet metal. Floors and trunk pan are both rust free and has the original specal paint in trunk still intact. The quarter panels are nice at the very bottom of the driver side rear quarter there is a quarter size rust bubble that will need some attention other then that the body is solid. The front fenders have both have two small 2 inch holes that i cut out and didn't get around to repairing. The body is very straight i blocked it about 3 times to work out all of the small dents and dings however i was saving the 3 small welds for last but never got around to it.
What i did so far:
powder coated the radiator support.
sanded and painted the engine bay sema satin hot rod black
i purchased some used bucket seats in nice condition
i converted the brakes to disc all the way around just need to run the lines ( all conversion brackets are installed)
The 14inc brakes are from a 2012 z06 has 6 pistons in the front and 4 in the rear.
the stock tires will not fit over the disc so i had to take the disc off but i have everything labeled for easy install once bigger rims are installed.
brakes conversion alone is worth 4k.
Basically selling because i have had this car for about 4 years and i'm getting know where fast.
most of the origainal chrome and body parts are with the car and in good condition; seats, hood, fenders, bumpers etc.
I have the original title and paper work that came with the car from 1972.
i'm asking $6500 car is also for sale locally so if interested send me a message to set a time to check it out in person

The Volt Dance had precedent; meet the Chevy Footlockers
Sun, Dec 14 2014Marketing in the auto industry can get weird sometimes – really quite bizarre, in fact. For example, remember the Chevy Volt dance from the 2009 Los Angles Auto Show? If not, a group boogied to a song about the electric car, and it was every bit as awkward (and hilarious) as that sounds. In fact, that innocent bit of promotion lives in infamy, as some pundits grabbed hold of it during General Motors' bailout and asked why America's tax dollars were going to such things. The Chicago Auto Show has been digging through its vault of vintage videos, and it has come up with something that might actually be worse than that Volt-themed routine. They're called the Chevy Footlockers, and they're a dance troupe somehow promoting the Cavalier at the 1988 Chicago show. The connection between the car and their routine is unclear, but it's gloriously cheesy in a Chippendales-meets-AC Slater sort of way. Also, there are props towards the end, but we aren't going to spoil them for you, because you just have to watch for yourself. As a bonus, there's another (brief) clip below showing a female dance group with the Geo Tracker at the '91 Chicago show, and they sing, too. Scroll down to watch both of these oddities. Kurt Busch to shake and bake (again) in Ricky Bobby car at Talladega
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Kurt Busch will channel Ricky Bobby for another NASCAR race, this time driving a Wonder-sponsored Chevrolet SS, in this weekend's Camping World RV Sales 500 at the Talladega Motor Speedway. Unlike past tie-ins, though, there's actually an element of sponsorship here (the "Me" car was done when Busch was running on a team without sponsorship).
It was arranged by Flower Foods, the new owner of the Wonder brand. Wonder was part of the bankrupt Hostess company, which temporarily exited the US market 2012, and set off the Great Twinkie Shortage.
Busch has made something of a habit of channeling characters from famous racing movies, most recently running Tom Cruise's City Chevrolet livery from Days of Thunder in a Nationwide Series race earlier this year. Busch kicked off his movie-inspired antics, though, at Talladega in 2012, when he raced El Diablo's ("It's like... Spanish for like a fighting chicken") "Me" car complete with a cougar on the hood. He even went so far as to channel the lovable idiot that is Ricky Bobby during the race, dropping a few catchphrases about macchiatos and slingshots.
