1996 White Chevy Lumina 4Door Sedan~V6 3.1L~A/C~Power Locks with Keyless Remote, Power Windows~Power Steering~AM/FM/Cassette Stereo, Tilt Steering Wheel, etc.
Ice cold Air / Immediate Hot Heat. Runs cool does not overheat. Does not leak or smoke or have unknown noises. Tires have 60-70% tread. No dents. A few dings. No rips or tears in the cloth seats. Paint looks good appears to have been garaged throughout most of its life. It is an Automatic.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Chevrolet Lumina LS sedan. The exterior is white and the interior is a blue velour. There are no rips in the seats, however, she could use a good detail. The paint on this Lumina looks good but does have several chip spots. The body panels all line up properly and everything opens and closes as it should. There is no rust. All of the glass and lenses appear to be intact except driver side mirror which is taped on. This Lumina has optional alloy wheels which come as a part of the LS package. The alloys look good all around with average tread. This vehicle is a fresh trade from a local dealer.
I've driven this car approximately 3 hours so far since I got it. Registration is current through May, 2013. Mechanically, this Chevy appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.1L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly and quietly. She has ice cold air and great heat. I did not see any leaks and the engine does not smoke. The suspension on this Lumina feels tight all around. The steering is neutral and responsive. The brakes stop this full sized sedan with no problems. The engine has good power and this car cruises easily down the highway. The engine keeps proper temperature and her road manners are good. Out on the highway, she accelerates properly and cruises nice and straight. The service engine soon light is on. The code is P0401. She has not been smogged because of this. I'm told this is a simple fix but I am not a mechanic. The buyer (you) will have to get this car smogged in order to register it. The dash and headliner are clean. This Lumina is optioned with power windows, locks and mirrors as well as remote keyless entry (which works). The driver's power window works but appears to be losing power at times.

C7 Corvette turbo with 1,000 horsepower promised from Hennessey
Mon, 25 Feb 2013If you can't wait for the next-generation Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Hennessey says they will have you covered. The Texas-based company has announced it will offer a spate of upgrades for the 2014 Corvette ranging from a range of bolt-on options all the way up to a 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbo system. Buyers can start with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust or stainless steel long-tube headers, but Hennessey says it will also offer up three stages of forced induction mayhem should those bits and baubles not provide enough thrust.
Those choices start with a supercharger system good for up to 700 hp, though Hennessey will gladly ditch the blower in favor of two turbos. Doing so will spin the crank to the tune of 800 horsepower all the way up to a certifiably ludicrous 1,000 ponies. There's no word on how much these tricks will cost you - or when they will be available, as we're guessing they haven't gotten their hands on the car yet - but you can head over to the Hennessey site to drop them a line if you're curious.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut
Mon, 28 Jan 2013While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.
