selling my 2000 chevy impala with a low of only 137,000 miles. automatic 4door sedan with a few areas of rust on it. it is sitting outside obtaining a collection of snow from the weather we are having. this is a very nice sized family car that would be great all year round. the only thing i know of at this time that the car needs is a tire (as it is flat) at most a used tire would cost around 25.00. and it needs an alternator belt, as the one in it broke. i believe the muffler also has a hole, but that is an easy fix. selling due to having one or more vehicles. the photo taken is a stock picture of what the car looks like, and not of the actual car. the car will be sold in as is condition and must be picked up at buyers expense. What did you expect when Chevrolet said it was bringing a new Corvette variant to the 2014 New York Auto Show? Maybe a sticker and trim package, like the C6 Corvette Grand Sport or a tie-in deal like the Black Widow car from Chicago? On the opposite end, maybe there was an even more hardcore Z06 waiting in the wings. Who knew?
NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
